Bgc is nice area and really clean compared to other parts of the Philippines and beautiful at night, but for me it's probably much more expensive to buy things.
BGC is a nice clean city, that's it! But it is just one area in the Philippines that is also nice and clean. That would be a fallacy to say that it is really clean as compared to other parts of the Philippines. I have been saying it for years: foreign vloggers all want to live in BGC and pretend they're living in the Philippines, while they are actually living in a copy of whatever place they came from. BGC is about as far removed from the real Philippines as you can get. I have spent a total of 11 years living in Metro Manila, in a couple of different spells, and have been in Pasig for the last 5 years. It's much more "real".
We met recently at pick up coffee Poblacion and........... You could have been Rambo in the military with some of the food I've seen you eat. Call yourself Roaming Rambo Tondo Hogan!! That's what I'm calling you for now on Roaming Rambo Tondo Hogan! I honestly love BGC for long term living and walking. However, I miss Davao City.
@@Tom-Lay One week in Davao City won't hit you or effect you vs actually living there. It's after a month of living there you learn where's this and where's that. I always say BGC is for the westerners that can’t adapt to a Filipino lifestyle lol I also don’t like that they don’t allow street food in that area, no Jeepneys, doesn’t feel like the Philippines. Manam is one of my favorites, the Sisig really is🔥🔥🔥

Tom be honest have you banned me? Love how your broad adopting uk/ire way of talking. Polar oposite the the finished one you took on last time, that musta got cloying.
The condos are so overpriced there. You can get a place twice as big in Thailand for the same price, in a huge international city with a million things to do. The nightlife in BGC is dead. Everything is empty after 9pm. There isn’t one popular filled up bar or club. It’s a joke compared to Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. All those countries have packed bars and restaurants until 3AM. BGC is so boring. And the condos all have rats and roaches. They need to cut the rent prices in half, it will fill up, and become a nice international scene. But for now, nobody will stay there for those prices.
I have been watching content from thailand in more recent times, everything yal say about bangkok and thailand is a myth, the condos are matchbox sized, maybe yal are in a twilight zone though in the thailand cult
@@RoamingHogan Yeah, they have them supposedly, but for the most part this is all talk, never any side by side of these places accommodations or anything, just a bunch of philippines haters making the same kinds of claims that you are right now, and why are yal always bringing up thailand and these other countries anyways? Lol, thats how i know what and who this guy's content is pandering to
Ok, obligatory 2024 BGC vlog is done! :) So, now where are the "real" best places, for normal people (not the rich & famous), to live in Metro Manila? Safe (well, relatively safe - let's just say no gun/knife EDC required), yet with the local Filipino vibe?

I agree with you guys BGC is overrated I guess?!during my vacation last December 2018, I had noticed both locals/foreigners enjoying the city vibes, cleaned comfort accesible to all( shops(high end luxuries .etc) if you are a businessmen investors entrepreneurs , financially stable etc then these areas around bcc are suited for all people of different races!(just my opinions)
Watching from canada
Wow!Enjoying Arabia Coffee
😅
It's busy during night time.
BGC is sick if you have a 50th floor penthouse trust me! But yeah I too rather stay in Malate
Nice will have to check it out
Bgc is nice area and really clean compared to other parts of the Philippines and beautiful at night, but for me it's probably much more expensive to buy things.
BGC is a nice clean city, that's it! But it is just one area in the Philippines that is also nice and clean. That would be a fallacy to say that it is really clean as compared to other parts of the Philippines. Much like it is if I would say, that all of New York city or the US for that matter is so dirty based on what I've seen in Brooklyn....
Your a brave man Tom eating sysig..
If it is in the property of the Philippines, it is the PHILIPPINES!whether you like it or not it is. Let progress go it's way.
I love you guys ❤❤❤. You should have stopped by Randy’s Donuts.
Thanks 🙏
@@Tom-Layif you ever get a bear hug and lifted up from behind, it’s from me and I’m in the Philippines 😂😅
I still miss the giant donut near LAX
Hi Tom and Lay, it looks ok, but definitely not the Philippines experience most people are looking for.
I gotta see what looks excellent if that looks "ok" lol
Tom snd Lay Andoks Sisig is good also.
Bgc wouldn't be for me either tom/lay....we stay in pasay when in manila which we enjoy,,but you can't beat the province!....our barangay is kabankalan in negros... Eyup to all the ilonggo,s
Province the best
Pretty place! Looks $$$$
Agreed 👍
Exactly, the place is so sterile and lacks any character. Probably the only place in the Philippines that doesn't have a Sai Sari Store.
I do love eating out in that area though on weekends with the family. Our Sunday drive. Cruising around.
It’s the only place I feel safe walking in street at night,we have sari sari store.😊
@@alicefabia11 I have never felt unsafe walking around at night outside of BGC
We met recently at pick up coffee Poblacion and...........
You could have been Rambo in the military with some of the food I've seen you eat. Call yourself Roaming Rambo Tondo Hogan!! That's what I'm calling you for now on Roaming Rambo Tondo Hogan!
I honestly love BGC for long term living and walking. However, I miss Davao City.
Haha will have to try Davao
@@Tom-Lay
One week in Davao City won't hit you or effect you vs actually living there.
It's after a month of living there you learn where's this and where's that. I don't think one week in Davao City is worth your time. Living in Davao City as a single man was ok and walking around Davao City feels safer than Cebu City.
O man I saw all the Flowers and your Beautiful Girl in the nice Dress I was thinking you were getting married
Better be in BGC than many of the first world countries
So you hide in a few blocks away from the chaos, forever?
@@EB-jf5oi much better
❤❤❤
I always say BGC is for the westerners that can’t adapt to a Filipino lifestyle lol I also don’t like that they don’t allow street food in that area, no Jeepneys, doesn’t feel like the Philippines. Manam is one of my favorites, the Sisig really is🔥🔥🔥
Yes sisig there is great
hey fellas how are you both doing ? feeling good since returning from ireland? btw what are your plans in the near future since you guys are officially a couple now? Are u still planning for an eatery outlet?. video's so far so good entertaining yes BGC is overrated amongst many and if you compare to any liveable cities in thailand yeah hands down thailand wins
Tom be honest have you banned me? Love how your broad adopting uk/ire way of talking. Polar oposite the the finished one you took on last time, that musta got cloying.
Likely better food than the rot gut crap you find in most of the country.
Manam is also in SM Aura Mall
👌

👍💗💗
I say BGC is best for first time getting into the grove then else were
The condos are so overpriced there.
Yes I can agree 👍
I have been watching content from thailand in more recent times, everything yal say about bangkok and thailand is a myth, the condos are matchbox sized, maybe yal are in a twilight zone though in the thailand cult
@@gangstagummybear3432not really you can get double sqm in Bangkok for same money and Malaysia even better value
@@RoamingHogan Yeah, they have them supposedly, but for the most part this is all talk, never any side by side of these places accommodations or anything, just a bunch of philippines haters making the same kinds of claims that you are right now, and why are yal always bringing up thailand and these other countries anyways? Lol, thats how i know what and who this guy's content is pandering to
@@Mikeycambovideos if you can't afford, don't complain. Find your niche. 😊
Tom reality has sunk in you have to grow up someday 😅😂
Why so many chichiborichi for bgc, than without bgc and Philippines all dilapidated slums
Ok, obligatory 2024 BGC vlog is done! :)
So, now where are the "real" best places, for normal people (not the rich & famous), to live in Metro Manila? Safe (well, relatively safe - let's just say no gun/knife EDC required), yet with the local Filipino vibe?

Tondo is the opposite of BGC, but equally unrepresentative.
exactly
I saw Tom walk through tondo and he liked it. It’s got character but I agree that it’s not representative of Manila as a whole and bgc is opposite
