Their best album in my opinion. Got my son a pre-oil embargo, first printing mint condition copy for a great price five years ago. He and I listen to it often
The great importance of this album is their experimentation into a lighter, more acoustic sound. When later combined with their hard electric side, their acoustic work helped to create the framework for some of Rock's greatest masterpieces, to follow.
Since I’ve Been Living You is peak Blues Rock. Nothing whatever to do with marching. Neither does When The Levee Breaks - heavy Blues Rock at it’s best.
@@Leo.Steinberg_Music I do plan on getting to Grateful Dead at some point, been really meaning to listen to their stuff for a while now. I may check out Phaih too, not familiar with their stuff
@ meant Phish 🤦🏻♂️ if you get into Grateful Dead, listen to American Beauty for first studio album and definitely listen to Live/Dead soon after. Completely different sounds but both amazing
Let me know what you think of this album and subscribe if you haven't! We're on our way to 2k!

The live versions of Immigrant Song do have a longer outro.
Did you catch the banjo in Gallows Pole?
I rate this Review a 7/10
