Tie! Both are fun and inspired by a limited budget. Yummy too. Our Dollar Trees are $1.00 per item. Dollarama sounds like our Family Dollar, cheap, but not just a dollar. Fun stuff!
Thank you for making recipes from the Dollar Tree that actually look delicious! I'm so tired of seeing videos where people just try the junk food or make gross food combinations and call it a recipe lol. I have a huge list of recipies I want to test from Dollar Tree
You're welcome! We genuinely put a lot of thought into them because we wanted them to be something people would actually want to make. Very intrigued by this list, let us know when you share some!
2 young vegan women - Kat and Dev - make a 'fiscally sustainable' #vegan dinner from #DollarTree - affordable, accessible for all (AAA) Air fryers were featured a few years ago (2018?) at the annual NAVS Vegan Summerfest (which Covid MAY have made 'a thing of the past!'
Great episode! I have a lot of experience hacking together dollar store stuff. I thought you did a great job both (but coconut milk won me over because I haven't used it and that really got me thinking about trying it).
I love both of you so it's really hard for me to vote. I'm going to have to lean towards Dev because I had no idea I could turn canned potatoes into something so amazing with my air fryer! (insert drooling emoji here)
Haha, so happy our awkwardness comes off as cute... Thanks for your support! Love adding new members to our TMG family. If you ever have recipe requests be sure to let us know on any of our social media pages. :)
We have not tested it this way, so we are not 100% sure, however we think it should be fine! Try around 375 until golden brown. Let us know how they turn out if you try it this way.
You guys!! If someone has to shop at the dollar store for food ingredients, I’d say it’s pretty likely they don’t have nor can they afford an air fryer. 🙃 sillies 😜
According to the can we bought from the dollar store it was vegan. Ingredients differ from country to country even ont he same products. The ingredients listed on this one included: water, tomato puree, wheat flour, sugar, salt, soybean oil, mustard and spices. You can view the ingredients on their website here: www.heinzfoodservice.ca/en/products-and-brands/soups/heinz-soups/76001166
ok,but it's not only the ingrediens that make something vegan.don't want to be rude or anything but heinz really isn't made by a company anyone should support.
Gorana, some people don't have the access to 100% cruelty free plant-based products from entirely vegan companies. I understand your point and completely commend those who only buy from 100% cruelty free vegan companies, but the point of this video was working with what you have if you do not have access to a lot. We will try our best to highlight this in future videos when using products that maybe all vegans won't agree with. We think it is important to highlight vegan products from everywhere and to respect that sometimes people have underlying reasons why they cannot make certain purchases whether it be money, location or whatever.
I want an air fryer but I don't have any more room in my kitchen. I wish there was a lending library for kitchen stuff. Great stuff!!!
Haha right!? My cupboards are bursting with appliances.

We agree! They are so delicious.
Canned beets, corn, artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, bamboo, water chestnuts, sauerkraut, pumpkin, beans, peas, tomatoes are all good
So many options! We'll definitely have to try some of them. (PS. LOOOOOVE WATER CHESTNUTS)

Will do! I already have one recorded that should go live in a week or two.
Thanks girls! Your both adorable ❤
Awe, thank you!

How in the world did I miss this video?! OMG! BOTH GOOD!
Haha it's almost a year old! Both were surprisingly good :D
Gosh your plating shots look like something out of a restaurant commercial 😍
Oh wow! Thank you so much.
Love your channel! Keep up the good work! Love both recipes!
Thank you! :)
Loved this! Both look great, I would make them both, but I love tacos and I love bowls...
Love for tacos knows no bounds. We totally understand your choice.
Good, because it was a hard choice. I went back and forth for way longer than should have been necessary. LOL
Haha, the struggle is real. We still can't decide which is better.
Wow where were you guys when I was in college and only shopped at dollar stores?!
Great food!
Haha, sorry! Better late than never? :)
Both of you did great. Both looked good
Those both look great!
Thank you!!!!

Coconut milk for the win! Such a great find at the dollar store. Definitely recommend trying it.
I vote for the Loaded Taco Bowl
Good choice! It was so delicious. The perfect weekday dinner or even for a meal prepped lunch!
Canned corn is ok, and I like canned beets sometimes. I like canned spinach when I'm camping.
Thanks for the tips! Will definitely check out canned spinach.
Two Market Girls cold, right out of the can, while camping. I tried eating it at home, but it only tastes good in the woods.
Haha, thanks for the tips.
Lmao I use canned mushrooms for mushroom gravy 😂! They work well for that.
Oooooh, I could imagine they would be good for that. We tend to use dehydrated mushrooms for gravy.
This blew my mind. So neat
Thanks lady!

Same! I’m going to buy canned potatoes next time I do groceries ☺️
We were so surprised too! Definitely give it a try and let us know how it goes.
how cute are you guys?! just found you...sharing you with all my friends!

why do you add oil to the air fryer? defeats entire purpose
Can the rice balls be cooked in the oven if you don't have an air fryer

had to pick Dev’s because of those potatoes 👍
Potatoes are life, so we get it. They were both delicious, so you couldn't go wrong picking either.
This is great i can definitely benefit from this
Hence 🔽
Haha glad we could help!
Obvi koved this. Ans so happy you guys use Twitter 🤗🤗
Thanks Artie! We love being on Twitter as well, such a fun platform.

Agreed, we are just working with what we have. We are sure these can also be made in the oven or deep fried of course.
Two Market Girls Do you have an idea of the time and temp for the oven?
Although we haven't tried it yet, but I would guess about 375F for about 20-25 minutes. But keep a close eye just in case it is shorter.
Thanks for the info ladies ✌🏻❤️
Dat ziet er heerlijk uit
Dank je
Ik heb jullie vandaag ontdekt
Jammer dat jullie er mee zijn gestopt
Only a couple minutes watching, and wondering why the music? It's too distracting and makes it hard to hear what you are saying ( at least for me).
heinz?vegan?really?

Two Market Girls it's definitely not vegan in the UK as it has cream in it
