I was just going to say, some of the Dollar Trees have very inclusive frozen sections. The one close to me has a LOT of different frozen fruits and veggies. I get 30 bags of different veggies and 15 bags of fruit every month. I LOVE it there!
The Vegan Zombie thank you for the video. I decided to go on the vegan diet. This is very helpful. I've been on the vegan for about a month. I feel so much better.
I'm a teenager and I live walking distance from a dollar general store, so this was very helpful since I need to cook for myself because my family is not vegan. Thank you :)
I told my family and friends, most cheap food is vegan cuz they don't use egg or milk as it is expensive, hence the list of ingredients to mimic. I am very low income and this is great. Thanks for taking us with you Chris and looking at the ingredients so I don't look silly in mine which is very busy....
This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I was so impressed at how positive it was-focusing on all the things that a person CAN eat as a vegan. I will plan to check out more of your videos.
I love how non-judgmental you are about the eating habits of others. You simply provide the options and let others follow their own preferences. Very awesome.
Thanks for this video. While not everything is "high" vegan (organic, small # of ingredients), they do carry a lot of vegan options for those who can't afford to shop at Whole Foods, for example. There are a lot of good finds at the Dollar Tree.
I go to dollar tree for the majority of my vegan shopping. My dollar tree has unsweetened almond milk, veggie burgers, Italian Ice, veggie samosa, and other frozen goodies that have the vegan stamp on it. If they ever decide to stock cheese and butter, I wouldn't have to go to Kroger for everything else.
Why would I buy dairy at all? I assumed the VEGAN was implied. My Dollar Tree sells regular butter, yogurt, cheese, and eggs, I don't eat that because I'm vegan. I was saying if they decided to sell cheese or butter( VEGAN of course), then I wouldn't have to go to the only place I can get all of my non-dairy items. I've been vegan for 3 years, and I only refer to vegan foods when I mention something since that's the only foods I eat.
I can vouch for Dollar Tree kitchen wares! I've had several things for years! A tornado destroyed our house almost four years ago now and I still have the same hand grater, kitchen spoons & spatulas, and several other things. Love seeing videos like this! We have a family of 5 so our budget is always tight! Just subscribed!
It's too bad they didn't have the frozen section in that one. Ours recently rebuilt and got a frozen section added. I buy all of my frozen fruits and veggies there now instead because only a dollar for the same size bags!
Awesome video! As someone who has been financially insecure for the last 2 years, I've actually made out pretty well at Dollar stores and my local Aldi and Walmart. There is also an app you can use called "Is It Vegan"? that scans the bar codes and flags any potentially nonvegan ingedients. Love your channel, I just subscribed. 😍
Once upon a time, I've ate well on goodies like beans & rice, pasta & tomato sauces & veggie soups, to name a few dishes. The spices take food to a new level too. Bon appetite at the Dollar Store! :)
Just a few tips from my experience. The crunchy taco shells are usually pretty crushed and sometimes stale so I usually plan to use them crushed and baked in a taco casserole. Works great. The soft tortillas usually stick together so don't just rip into them, instead separate them carefully. And last, if you're going to get the pretzels, buy the pretzel sticks. For some reason they aren't ever stale, but the regular pretzels have been stale every time I've bought them. :)
Hey thanks for the tips, also just an FYI do you usually bake the taco shells before consumption? usually people don't prep the shells in the oven and eat them straight from the box and for that reason they taste stale because they're not fully cooked through.
I get the tostada shells instead because they are usually not stale. And you can visually see if they are crushed or not. My local dollar tree doesn't have it so I go to a 99cent store instead for tostada shells and much more
DUDE!!! You're videos rock!!! Thanks for letting us (the masses) know how to shop vegan on a budget (from various stores too, and testing products out! ). 😎😎😎🤗🤗🤗
I'I always stock up on pasta ,sauces , condiments ,juices, frozen fruits and veggies ,soy milk ,almond milk and alot of other things when I shop there so I thank the gods for dollar tree lol
marie clover - Always stock up on the soy milk for cooking. Haven’t tried the almond milk yet-is it thin or at all creamy? Looking for something to add to my coffee and chai. Thank you for your help!
James Charles Dead Brother Hey check out this vegan channel th-cam.com/video/Uq7lJjX1RhE/w-d-xo.html . Her dishes look a amazing and she’s from Toronto!
9:11 - For those flipping-out (like I was) about all the processed junk food that was loaded with chemicals. Thankfully, I skipped to the end, as I thought (hoped) it was a goof and he was simply making a point - which, he was. Good one...you got me.
Hey Chris! Greetings From Kansas City. I reccomend seeing if you can find a Dollar Tree with a fridged section they have a lot more options! Frozen foods
Those stores have a lot of the healthy and gourmet type items. That is much better than the dollar stores. That Job Lot is really amazing for household goods and other items too.
I was just going to say, some of the Dollar Trees have very inclusive frozen sections. The one close to me has a LOT of different frozen fruits and veggies. I get 30 bags of different veggies and 15 bags of fruit every month. I LOVE it there! I also get 3 bags of brown rice, and like 5 bags of dried beans, Also, I get canned garbanzo beans and make hummus. I use the Pace salsa as salad dressing, too. I make smoothies with the frozen fruit and the coconut water. The Dollar store has like, literally saved my life. I am disabled, and live on an extremely tight budget. So, shopping there has allowed me to eat healthy! I also get my bottled water there. The steamer bowls with the vented tops are PERFECT for microwaving the frozen veggies. Hope some of these tips help someone. :)
It's nice to know I can go just down the street to the dollar store and get stuff. I'm not concerned about "junky" foods since I rarely eat those, and therefore eat them with zero concern, when I do eat them. It's great to know I can go there and get pretty much anything I need, including cookies/junkie stuff for those rare occasions.
Soy milk...for a dollar??!! Jelly...for a dollar???!!! Ten packs of oatmeal...for a dollar???!! Pecans...for a dollar??!!! Pink wafers...for a dollar???!!
Im glad you distinguish the difference between healthy and junkfood it really helps me out when knowing what to choose based off of what I can find! Thanks @TheVeganZombie !!!
Chris: Dollar store has it's "moments" when they actually have some good deals on food that I would actually eat! :) Good job on the video! Enjoyed it immensely! Dawn @ Rich & Dawn in MN :)
I am still in my first 2 weeks of being vegan and I’m still in that fearful state, scared of foods that I’m not too sure what’s in them! This was eye opening and we have a lot more choices than I thought! Thanks! :)
Jaimie theres an app available for iphone users (im not sure if its for androids) called Is It Vegan. You use the app’s camera and scan the barcode of whatever food you want and it’ll tell you if it’s vegan, vegetarian, etc. I officially went vegan on the first day of the year and that app has helped me a lot!! I totally recommend it if you need help figuring out the ingredients for a food. With this app, i dont have to worry about overlooking a non vegan ingredient within the ingredients list. Hopefully, it’ll help you too.
Scared? You just can read ingredient labels and not be lacking in food knowledge. If you make a mistake, your body won't care, sure might be less healthy. It's more troublesome for people's digestive systems that basically forgot certain things from eating vegan for many years. Oh and it's seven months later...are you still a dietary vegan or have you moved up to whole-food plant-based?
I get my frozen veggies there, the frozen mixed veggies are delish. I have had a lot of health problems and decided to clean up my diet to healthier foods. I love TH-cam and all the great vegan cooks , and learning its not all about soy. I can make a great seitan. Making oatmeal sausage tomorrow for breakfast. I have cooked my whole life, and this is like being a baby, taking baby steps to better health. Over half way to 70, and having the time of my life in the kitchen....😀
Whaaat? from the comments it sounds like everyone has an amazing dollar tree. My dollar tree (I've been to like 3 so far) has nearly nothing?? this video and the comment section genuinely surprised me XD my closest dollar tree has a whole isle dedicated for chips.
I live in a small town and yeah Kosher salt, tomato paste, sunflower seeds, dried fruit etc and our Dollar Tree just expanded to have a frozen food section.
Oh yea i used to survive on those when I first tried going plant based. They arnt the healthiest but taste ok and have a good texture if you cook them right.
I like how try to keep it out of Sarcasm Land when reading the ingredients lists! Sadly, beggars--like me--can't be choosers. Well, we still can be choosers about being animal friendly, if not health friendly. Seeing this, I think with some strategy and some discount fresh produce, one can cobble together some cheap, nutritious meals. TFP : )
All these cheap foods with their huge lists of chemicals will kill you much faster than eating all the meat in the world. People were made to live off meat..we weren't made to live of flours and toxic chemicals. I understand poverty doesn't give you many choices..but it would be much healthier to eat even the cheapest cuts of meat and eggs than most of the garbage shown in this video. Don't sacrifice your health over an unnatural fad such as veganism.
+ *Nightbird* Ha-ha! I have to assume your comment is sarcastic, so devoid is it of understanding of anthropology; human biochemistry; organic and inorganic chemistry; and US economics. If you are serious, you are truly incompetent at meater trolling and thankfully no one will give your comments any credit.
+tamcon72 - Please feel free to illustrate SPECIFICALLY how what I said was incorrect. I hold two Masters degrees including an MBA..and a Doctorate in medicine..so I feel very confident I can defend my positions since I have research to back them up. I am also a business person who has owned several successful companies. Add to that my extensive travels around the world..including working for the Peace Corp and Green Peace..and I do believe I have enough knowledge of different cultures to sustain my points of view. All I ask is that you behave like an adult and not a child..refrain from name calling..and stick to the subject matter. I am well known and respected on TH-cam..because I can back up everything I say. Looking forward to your reply..which I am sure will be fantastic and wonderful to read..and will surely include links from non-vegan/objective sites to back them up. 😉
+ *Nightbird* So you were serious? Please post the research--bear in mind we have probably already encountered it somewhere--concluding that "people were made to live off meat," and that "it would be much healthier to eat even the cheapest cuts of meat and eggs than most of the garbage shown in this video." I won't even expect any evidence backing up the first statement, as it is not supported by paleontological research to date. As for the second statement, I grant you that there is a lot of junky food in this video, but then it isn't typical of a plant-based, nor a vegan, diet. It is suggested by way of illustrating that the common meater idea that vegan food is expensive is false. How much nutrition training did your doctorate of medicine provide? If adequate, you would be aware of the reams of research concerning the health damaging effects of an animal-based diet, which, because it _is_ some of the cheapest food available in the States, is directly correlated with unfavorable health outcomes among the demographics that shop at dollar stores. Your business education/experience, though it may be a considerable accomplishment, apparently did not include American economics, or you would be aware that it is poor _omnivores_ ,whose diets feature tons of those "cheapest" meat and eggs and dairy, who shop for cheap plant foods at dollar stores. I would be surprised if your rebuttal is clinical or fair, as the closing salvo in your op, referring to veganism as a "fad"--ridiculous in every sense of the word--confirms a bias so compelling, it has driven you to condescendingly lecture total strangers who have nothing to do with you about their lifestyle choices. Why carnists insist on coming to vegan YT and inserting their opinions into comments threads, is a mystery to me. It's futile.
tamcon72 ik im kinda late to the party but just wanted to say that there is no doubt that a *whole food* vegan diet is the healthiest diet period (as in eating primarily whole grains, legumes, fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, &plant proteins). Granted, eating certain food from the vid thats full of sugar and chemicals is probably as unhealthy as eating meat, eggs, and dairy, but the guy that commented on you before said something to the same affect as if the guy in the video was yelling "everything vegan is healthy" the whole time. In reality he made several comments throughout the vid noting that many of the foods were not natural, nongmo or organic and were full of sugar and chemicals, but the vid was SIMPLY to show that you can be vegan on a budget. Obviously, omninores can eat "healthy" to and extent, but as they still eat meets eggs etc., any omnivorous diet cannot be as healthy as a whole food plant based diet. Meat eaters (and I say this as a meat eater myself) continue to make excuses to justify eating meat, eggs, and dairy because meat tastes good. Arguments such as veganism is expensive is absolutely debunked by this video. Another common argument is humans were made to eat meat, but actually humans were made so that they CAN eat meat if they so choose to, or if their life situations require them, but we don't HAVE to eat meat and research shows that although we can live off of meat, no diet, include vegetarianism or pescetarianism can be as healthy as a plant based whole food diet. 😊
Annika Wolfe I think he's saying that while he does eat a vegan friendly diet, he is not vegan. Because veganism is not a diet, it's a way of living/thinking. And while you can eat vegan friendly foods, that doesn't make you a vegan. Because you might not actually care about animals being slaughtered. Some people eat a plant-based diet just for personal health or for the environment.
NojoNinja you’re thinking of whole food plant based. Plant based means you eat plant based or vegan food but don’t take part in the vegan lifestyle like purchasing non-food vegan items, avoiding sugar processed with bone char, or eating a plant based patty whose company tested on animals. Those are just a few examples.
Im not sure if the dollar tree near you has a freezer section, but the ones here do and they have veggie burgers, some snacks that are vegan like pretzels and frozen fruit All for $1!!!!!!
Great share! I too haven't been there forever. They have more vegan options now, then I remember. The two hot sauces you showed are pretty good. Thanks for sharing.
Some even has nice vegan meat/seafood in the frozen section! We love to get our Vegan shrimp there. Bok Choy is cheap and nutritious, also the variety and price of mushrooms is great.
DreamingTata VeganMama I saw that vegan shrimp and meat section at the Vietnamese market recently, but I was smh thinking..."nah, I don't have a good feeling about this!" The manager said they fly off the shelf. I bought some jars of black bean sauce and some sweet potato noodles. I also saw they had non dairy red bean popsicles which I bought. They're great! I also found vegan udon noodles in individual packs on the fridge there too. 😉 Ah, yes...also got the interesting mushrooms and some purple sweet potatoes. (White on the outside, purple on the inside.quite a unique taste and more nutritious)
So awesome to see you use Lydia's products! I live in Petaluma CA where her business is based and frequent her store often. LOVE her products and love her.
This is an outstanding video ! Coincidentally I was just wondering if it is possible to be vegan shopping at stores like Dollar Tree. Thank for doing this research. I am working towards becoming vegan and have to do it cheaply. Please research more dollar store type retailers and share your findings. Thank you for this video.
Daniel Dickerson - Put “vegan dollar tree haul” in a TH-cam or Google search. There are a LOT of those videos. Check out the ones posted by Josef Lincoln (friend of Chris T.V.Z.)-his are great, and I love his friend Mike!
Daniel Dickerson If you plan to eat enough veggies to buy them in bulk and you have an Aldi near, that is a fantastic option. I can buy 2 weeks worth of good, healthy food for like $20. You just have to commit to eating it all because you buy your veggies in bulk instead of singles.
Randomly came across this video and this was awesome. Insightful and helpful. Vegan on a budget is a real struggle. Had no idea dollar Tree had this many items 😧
Be careful on the beans - I can usually get them for 79 or 89 cents elsewhere - not a huge difference, but it adds up when buying for a family. Aldi's spices are also only a dollar and they have a better variety.
Thanks again for another insightful video. @veganzombie. But be mindful the Monet crackers have enzymes, which may be rennet (beef) or pepsin (pork). And we have to be careful assuming some of these corporations who also process animals on their equipment are thoroughly washing, or washing equipment at all, before they process vegan items on that equipment.
This is awesome! I’ve been wanting to eat more of a plant-based diet (for ethical, environmental and health reasons) but it always feels like it just isn’t cost-effective. I didn’t realize just how many vegan-friendly foods were sitting at Dollar Tree, of all places! Thanks for the head’s up!
I believe they're a product from India, BUT people whom have ate them swear by how good they are! I'll have to take a look myself next time I'm in the area.
Just looked it up. The brand is Chef Ernesto. It is a product of India. The ingredients look relatively healthy. Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (Palm Oil), Carrots, Green Beans, Corn, Bell Peppers, Onions, Salt, Green Peppers, Sugar, Ginger, Cellulose Gum, Spices, Citric Acid, Turmeric & Mustard Seeds. No artificial ingredient which is pretty amazing for a dollar.
This is my first time watching a video of yours! It was amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. I had no idea a Dollar Store would contain so many vegan options!
I think Trader Joe’s has added a few vegan items. I just picked up a refrigerated turmeric salad dressing marked Vegan. Lots of date/apricot & date/coconut bites.
My dollar tree has a brand of vegan spring rolls in the freezer section that are amazingly clean and tasty. I always buy them. They are Jennifer's Garden.
OMG I am so glad you did this video! I love Dollar Tree but never even thought about looking in the frozen food section. I just ran there and bought a bunch of fruit, veggies, spring rolls and veggie patties. I'm so happy lol. 😂
Omg! This was so helpful to me ! My professor just told me veganism wasn’t socioeconomic . . . In Her Face!! I’m totally going to dollar tree and stock up for the next (weekly🤢)slumber party 4 my daughters.
I can't afford a $8 vegan cheesecake or a $6 pint or vegan ice cream... $14 goes to potatoes apples and carrots . Don't get me started on meat substitutions, b12 vitamin supplements and protein powders. I got to make $110 last a week sometimes a week and a half near the end of the month because of all bills. I got 3 mouths to feed &live on the poverty line. My husband has a good job but things aren't very cheap. We are very fugal barely making ends meet.
First time watching you. So entertaining and lol'd @ Mon-ett👍! I LOVE your coverage and points of bone char sugar and palm oil issues. New subscriber. Much Love✌
I never thought about the dollar store as a place to go for vegan products/groceries. You've really helped me save on my budget with this video, thanks so much!!
Man you really went through everything that’s vegan! Most videos that I see like this they only show like a couple items. This is nice to be able to see everything!
New Frozen Foods Section th-cam.com/video/RdRcI2LfjOo/w-d-xo.html
The Vegan Zombie new sub!!!! Great videos!

The Vegan Zombie thank you for the video. I decided to go on the vegan diet. This is very helpful. I've been on the vegan for about a month. I feel so much better.
The Vegan Zombie òf,
So helpful thanks 😘
Somebody should open a Vegan or Organic Store and everything cost $1-$2. We need healthy choices.
Yes! That would be a wonderful idea.
And the farmers need to support their families.
processed crammed with chemicals should be healthy and fills my stomach...
Agree with others....brilliant idea!
Jiujun Tang fuck farmers they hurt animals
I'm a teenager and I live walking distance from a dollar general store, so this was very helpful since I need to cook for myself because my family is not vegan. Thank you :)
Nice work. Good for you!
He was in the Dollar Tree, not Dollar General
Lol My family ain’t vegan either. I just started being a vegan today. lol
isabella pizzo Good for you.
cool wanna be mutals
My Dollar Tree needs to step up their game!
Right! Mine does not look like this
Mine doesn't ether!

Robbie N. I approve of this comment
"Fresh bread with all these chemicals in it" LOL
thanks for clarifying that "may contain" doesn't mean that ingredient is in the product.
Mike Prat I was thinking the same exact thing. I’ve never actually thought about it from that perspective.
Mike Prat You don’t know how happy I was when he said that! It’s going to open up a world of possibilities on my next grocery shopping trip!! 😁
The 1 ingredient that sticks out if High Fructose Cone Syrup
In everything, I swear
Just wanted to say that my girlfriend and I both exclaimed "What?!" aloud when you said you hadn't tried either Louisiana or Tapatio hot sauces.
I've never tried them either! My go to hot sauce has been Sriracha. I LOVE Sriracha! 💖
I know I thought the same.
Lynorran Eldritch yeah like literally if you haven't had Tapatío WHAT hot sauce have you had?
Many native northerners either don't use hot sauce or aren't familiar with those two brands.
Same, i was shocked 😂
I love how non-judgmental you are about the eating habits of others. You simply provide the options and let others follow their own preferences. Very awesome.

When did good become a synonym for unhealthy?
When I was younger, things like grass fed beef and fresh broccoli were 'good'
I am a proud vegan and I work at dollar tree! I love this video❤❤❤
😂😂" watch out for zombies!"
Awesome video!

the most vegan food i've ever seen in only 1 isle lol
lol, me too
I just got a KFC ad b4 this. Um no thanks we don't want your dead flesh
It's too bad they didn't have the frozen section in that one. Ours recently rebuilt and got a frozen section added. I buy all of my frozen fruits and veggies there now instead because only a dollar for the same size bags!
Mine even has jerk patties and veggie parties. I need to confirm whether or not they are vegan.
Mine has Jennifers Garden spring rolls (frozen) and they are so good!
Yes mine has the veggie burgers (vegan) and the spring rolls as well =)
Julian-Aime R the veggie patties are vegan =)
So hooked on the spring rolls!
“Junk junk junk junk, DOLLAR” I love this man 😂😂

I am vegetarian since 1994 but am seriously considering becoming vegan.
I'm going to have to visit my local Dollar Tree. This was fun, Chris.
im actually glad i clicked this...i originally clicked it to get a laugh but instead i got educated lol 😭
Same
Once upon a time, I've ate well on goodies like beans & rice, pasta & tomato sauces & veggie soups, to name a few dishes. The spices take food to a new level too. Bon appetite at the Dollar Store! :)
I'll never stop eating beans, rice, pasta, and soups. NO WAY! :)) I love polysaccharides.
Amy Love sameeee
Does anyone know if the spices there are full of flavor? Or are they kind of watered down, because they are in the Dollar Tree?
Flint Interpreter the garlic powder is on point and full of flavor. I only buy mine here.
You named one dish. When will you name the others?
Frankly, the dish you named is only a 'dish' if you're a hobo lol
Good to know about the sugar without hone char, very helpful! Great video!

Damn I should start shopping at the dollar tree.
I will try my local dollar tree here in Los Angeles California.
I'I always stock up on pasta ,sauces , condiments ,juices, frozen fruits and veggies ,soy milk ,almond milk and alot of other things when I shop there so I thank the gods for dollar tree lol
marie clover -
Always stock up on the soy milk for cooking. Haven’t tried the almond milk yet-is it thin or at all creamy? Looking for something to add to my coffee and chai.
Thank you for your help!
where do you buy your vegan pasta, I find it hard to find any without egg?
+Charlena Wright it's just like regular almond milk....
Careful with cheap tomato sauce... they contain a lot of food starch and hfcs.
this video is actually highly needed though for us regular people who should be vegan too..
*Dollar*

Ocean state job lot, homegoods/tj maxx! I always find so many accidentally (and intentionally) vegan items at both places.
T Eye Those coconut bars and butter cookies are what my sister eats and their good for young children the ones that shouldn't eat chocolate yet.
Hey Chris! Greetings

Job Lot is awesome for Bob's Red Mill products, too! They're always the best price I can find.
TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Marshalls and Burlington are great places to find premium, inexpensive, organic and vegan items

You are a wealth of information.. And the added humor is such a cheery note. It's 4 yrs later and Dollar Tree has raised the prices.!
I just love these videos! For people who are learning its so helpful for them/me to see things from another perspective.
Great video. I was there yesterday. Spent 20 bucks and got 3 days worth of stuff for my family. Planning is key.
Soy milk...for a dollar??!! Jelly...for a dollar???!!! Ten packs of oatmeal...for a dollar???!! Pecans...for a dollar??!!! Pink wafers...for a dollar???!!
Total on a budget store.
I always eat too many waffers 😳
Can’t even shop in the store without saying FOR A DOLLAR??!!?!? like 30 times
Kaitlin Brown Lol!!! Sometimes they have stuff half price too!!!!! I bought a whole bunch of seeds there once for 10 cents. It's crazyness.
Lizzza comin' atcha
Im glad you distinguish the difference between healthy and junkfood it really helps me out when knowing what to choose based off of what I can find! Thanks @TheVeganZombie !!!
Many Dollar tree have a cold section now too and it has tons of vegan stuff, maybe you can do an updated video one day with one of these stores ?
Definitely. This one didn't have one. Bummer.
You are SO appreciated. I had no idea I could find so many vegan items there. Thank you for your efforts :)
Hey VZ show us your meal u created from the dollar tree store???...😋👍💙
Curlygirl582 I’m a fan of the VZ. Most of the stuff that I cook on my channel are from the DS.
Vegan On a Budget k
I get my frozen veggies there, the frozen mixed veggies are delish. I have had a lot of health problems and decided to clean up my diet to healthier foods. I love TH-cam and all the great vegan cooks , and learning its not all about soy. I can make a great seitan. Making oatmeal sausage tomorrow for breakfast. I have cooked my whole life, and this is like being a baby, taking baby steps to better health. Over half way to 70, and having the time of my life in the kitchen....😀
Tfs I love shopping at dollar tree and Kroger clearance racks for vegan food
I love this. No in-depth analysis on each of the items. You just kept it simple. Nice
Whaaat? from the comments it sounds like everyone has an amazing dollar tree. My dollar tree (I've been to like 3 so far) has nearly nothing?? this video and the comment section genuinely surprised me XD my closest dollar tree has a whole isle dedicated for chips.
Very thorough job here! You might also check the freezer section! More vegan and vegetarian options! 👍🏻👍🏽👍🏽
So much sugar and hydrogenated oils... OOF! I will be purchasing those taco shells though. That's a nice bargain.
That, "Monet", part had me dying! Thanks for that!
Maaann you forgot the frozen food section. They carry the same frozen veggies and fruit as walmart for just $1
I live in a small town and yeah Kosher salt, tomato paste, sunflower seeds, dried fruit etc and our Dollar Tree just expanded to have a frozen food section.
Our Dollar Tree has a little refrigerated frozen section on the back wall and there's a few items in there that are usually acceptable
in the frozen section there are some vegan spring rolls that taste pretty good.
Oh cool, thanks! This one didn't have a frozen section.
Oh yea i used to survive on those when I first tried going plant based. They arnt the healthiest but taste ok and have a good texture if you cook them right.
Omg!!! I live on those spring rolls!!!!
I couldn't find them here :(
also the brocc. is tough and woody
I quit palm oil over 3 years ago. Glad I did.
Please post the research--bear in mind we have probably already encountered it somewhere--concluding that "people were made to live off meat," and that "it would be much healthier to eat even the cheapest cuts of meat and eggs than most of the garbage shown in this video."
I won't even expect any evidence backing up the first statement, as it is not supported by paleontological research to date.
I'm not vegan, but I do eat plant-based.
Whole Food Plant-Based Man sooo vegetarian?
Annika Wolfe
I think he's saying that while he does eat a vegan friendly diet, he is not vegan. Because veganism is not a diet, it's a way of living/thinking. And while you can eat vegan friendly foods, that doesn't make you a vegan. Because you might not actually care about animals being slaughtered. Some people eat a plant-based diet just for personal health or for the environment.
@@aabracadavra I eat vegan foods. I do not do vegan activities like boycotting zoos or wool jackets.
plant based means ur vegan but u don’t eat processed
NojoNinja you’re thinking of whole food plant based. Plant based means you eat plant based or vegan food but don’t take part in the vegan lifestyle like purchasing non-food vegan items, avoiding sugar processed with bone char, or eating a plant based patty whose company tested on animals. Those are just a few examples.
Im not sure if the dollar tree near you has a freezer section, but the ones here do and they have veggie burgers, some snacks that are vegan like pretzels and frozen fruit
All for $1!!!!!!
Francine Juliet yeah this one didn’t have one.
Great share! I too haven't been there forever. They have more vegan options now, then I remember. The two hot sauces you showed are pretty good. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Chris! Have you ever done a vegan shop at an Asian market? I would assume there would be a ton of vegan options.
Michelle D great idea!
Some even has nice vegan meat/seafood in the frozen section! We love to get our Vegan shrimp there.
Bok Choy is cheap and nutritious, also the variety and price of mushrooms is great.
I have this one here. th-cam.com/video/eBNoAcc-xP8/w-d-xo.html
I shop at H market or 99 ranch and find a lot of vegan items.
Daniel Dickerson -
Put “vegan dollar tree haul” in a TH-cam or Google search.
Woah!!! It’s nice to see a well known/high sub count youtuber in northern New York!!
I swear every 2 minutes I was laughing at something 😂 Good video Chris!
Haha, thanks!
Tapatio hot sauce will change your life!
Why? Were you high? It was a pretty straight forward video with a neutral tone.
wtf what are you smoking
Monet veg crackers are bomb with chickpea salad on top omg
I saw the thumbnail and I was like “that dollar tree looks familiar” and knew exactly where that was 🤣
Randomly came across this video and this was awesome.
Organic spices are 2$ at aldis! Beats 6$ at walmart! And they claim if you find better prices bring the receipt.. What a load of crapitalism lol
At my Walmart they have $0.50 spices
absolutely enjoy your videos walmart, target now dollar tree etc you rock....
The enzymes are all vegan friendly. From fungal and bacteria.
Great. Thanks for reply and checking into the company's products.
dang this selection is not bad at all, i hope my dollar tree has all this stuff too
Tapatio is good! Real Mexican sauce from Mexico, one of my favorites.
HEY! Don't forget about the spring rolls and veggie burgers in the freezer case!!! Thanks for the fine video Chris! Loved it!
I get artificially flavored chicken bouillon from there. Love it! I make my own "chicken nuggets" with it for my kiddos.
Diann Hazelton Whuuuuuuuuuh?!
What’s the brand and product name?!
Gotta hunt for that now!
I’ve been looking for a new, more inexpensive brand than the one I currently use. Thanks!
Pampa is the brand in a clear jar with yellow label and yellow lid.
The are the same as this jar in this post www.amazon.com/Pampa-Instant-Seasoning-Cubes-Chicken/dp/B01GAI7Z7Q
This is awesome! I’ve been wanting to eat more of a plant-based diet (for ethical, environmental and health reasons) but it always feels like it just isn’t cost-effective. I didn’t realize just how many vegan-friendly foods were sitting at Dollar Tree, of all places! Thanks for the head’s up!
you can get veggie burgers in the freezer section of my dollar tree.
Heather Tipton wow really, I have never seen them here. I need to take a better look
Amy Love sounds wonderful. I will def. look for it next time. Thank you
Make sure they don't contain egg. Surprisingly, alot of "veggie" burgers contain them as a binder.
They recently started stocking Miyokos in my store. Their butter is the best I have ever had, even my diehard omnis like it.
My dollar tree has a brand of vegan spring rolls in the freezer section that are amazingly clean and tasty. I always buy them. They are Jennifer's Garden.
Vegan resource guide vrg.org clarifies who is and isn't bone char free sugar and why.
OMG I am so glad you did this video! I love Dollar Tree but never even thought about looking in the frozen food section. I just ran there and bought a bunch of fruit, veggies, spring rolls and veggie patties. I'm so happy lol. 😂
I haven't been to a dollar store lately - I should go back!
VoteGreen Hey check out this vegan channel th-cam.com/video/Uq7lJjX1RhE/w-d-xo.html . Her dishes look a amazing and she’s from Toronto!
The Mango Chile Lime flavor is the best 😍
Omg! This was so helpful to me ! My professor just told me veganism wasn’t socioeconomic . . . In Her Face!!
I’m totally going to dollar tree and stock up for the next (weekly🤢)slumber party 4 my daughters.
That's pretty ignorant of her to say.
@Jenn Linn beans, rice, pasta fruits and vegetables you mean?
@Jenn Linn thanks for your reply ! I am on the broke almost vegeterian meal train right now cause I get it. Meat is expensive!
@Jenn Linn same!
They also have frozen vegetables and vegan foods!!
Stay safe , watch out for zombies. Lol totally subbed ❤️
First time watching you. So entertaining and lol'd @ Mon-ett👍! I LOVE your coverage and points of bone char sugar and palm oil issues. New subscriber. Much Love✌
Take a shot (of water) every time he says "dollar"
I would have never thought, dollar tree would have so many vegan friendly items. Thanks for posting, great video
The bread had high fructose corn syrup in it....wtf?
Most super cheap breads have HFCS, b/c it's so cheap
Instead of going and buying stuff from dollar tree which is full of sodium can just plant seeds and grow your own vegetable plants
Take a shot every time he says “dollar”
I'm from Arizona, and both of those hot sauce brands are Reeeally popular. (Lousiana Hot Sauce and Tapatio)
The Monet and Mulder joke were golden!
I never thought about the dollar store as a place to go for vegan products/groceries. You've really helped me save on my budget with this video, thanks so much!!
5:01 "And I found some of this gnyachi"
*dies laughing*
Man you really went through everything that’s vegan! Most videos that I see like this they only show like a couple items. This is nice to be able to see everything!
Dollar tree takes coupons but you will have to look hard to find them. Walk out paying nothing.
