Nick Varner is the player who Efren said that he would choose as a doubles partner out of the whole US field. That is quite an accolade. Excellent commentary on this one.

I like how they mentioned this young unknown player named "Tony Robles".

Varner's kick at the two in the 18th rack! It looked like he used left spin, reverse English, but somewhere it reversed again after doubling in the corner. I can't say I understand what happened there but it was beautiful.

Andam plays tight safeties! He not only puts you right up on a ball or two, he cuts off the rails so your kicking multiple rails, or juicing up the ball. I played him once, races to 13,he gave me the 7/8 and the break. After about 5 sets( we split the first 4) he got into stroke, every time I came to the table I was either kicking or racking...♥️🙏👉🇺🇸

Too few realize it ... and sadly (as for many Pinoys) he stood in the shadow of Efren's greatness.

Sadly, Andam died in 2014 on a motorcycle to play a tournament in the Philippines.
    There's perhaps ≤ 10 videos of pre-1994-Efren, and only [ONE] pre-1998 1P match.
An action match (with Grady) unclear which year it was; perhaps around 1992.
Think how little Efren we'd have during his prime were it not for Pat + Accu-Stats.
At that, not even a YEAR of what Efren says were his best years is available (his mid-20s).
