He's the most accomplished QB in NFL history. Having said that, he also had a lot of Lucky breaks that went his way. Things that he had absolutely no control over. Like Adam Vinateri hitting 2 game winning field goals from long distance with time expiring.
And Pete Carrol throwing at the goal line instead of running Marshawn Lynch for the win. Result, Interception.
Or the 1st Superbowl victory against the Rams when he fumbled in the divisional round playoff game against the Raiders.
That's 4 Superbowls that he had no control over those circumstances yet benefited from all of them.
He's still the most accomplished of all time however he had so much fortune.

Hey man not everyone thinks the same. Different things motivate different people. People always wanna talk about the competitive thing cuz of jordan but thats not what motivates tom. “Not everyone thinks the same”
That crosses my mind every time Pat talks about needing to choose enemies and find fuel etc….he’s been successful while in his head space so he probably doesn’t realize…but I’m certain you can ascend and pile up wins without thinking about “enemies”
To me it seems a little lowly to use my energy thinking about other people that aren’t within my camp….unless I’m trying to learn
You can lead and build without thinking about beating people…..in business some people are driven by freedom not winning

PBD's lack or understanding on how many elite athletes get passed the type of competitive spirit for which he assumes Tom has (because he himself has it) shows that he never played sports. If you make your achievements about being better than the other guy or crushing the enemy it will rob your joy and your productivity. It has to be about improving yourself for its own sake, as Tom said, to compete with the person in the mirror, and then allowing the results to come. You also become a team player that considers a rising tide raises all ships. That's why he keeps arguing the point with PBD but PBD just can't get it. The most arrogant jerks in sports make it all about beating others and win or lose, they have no peace.

So anyone who is is also at the top knows it’s because of their discipline, work ethic, and sacrifice where you are just trying to get 1% better everyday. You don’t have time focus on others because you’re focused on WINNING and being YOUR best self 🔥 💪

This title and video is super misleading... Tom Brady literally spends the whole video describing that he's motivated by the process of self improvement and process. He compliments his teammates and what PBD would call 'enemies.' Valuetainment literally puts in quotation a headline that only PBD spoke, "I'm Driven By Enemies," and tries to make it look like Tom Brady said that when literally he not only never said that, but everything Brady said was in complete opposition to that...
PBD: "I've gotta ask you this, "What drove you more? Getting one more than Belichick or one more than Michael?"
Tom: "It was neither! I promise you!
PBD: "I appreciate the answer. But I'm selfish and greedy. I gotta push back. Let me tell you why. Okay, so I'm writing a book that's gonna come out... It's called 'Choose Your Enemies Wisely."... Goes on to promote the book and try to get Brady to comment. "So let's say that's really the reason, Tom... So Belichick or Michael?"
Tom: "If Belichik gets another Super Bowl it doesn't take anything away from me... The man in the glass, that's the one that motivated me."
PBD: "Here's my interpretation. Having one more than Belichick means more to you than having one more than Michael Jordan. Is that fair?"
Tom: "No" and goes on to describe the respect he has for his 'would be enemies.'
Valuetainment Headline: "I'm Driven by My Enemies"
What???? Brady never says that once in any way, form, or fashion?

Toms work ethic is second to none. I have followed him from the beginning. I just started watching football and Tom was the underdog coming in as the last picked qb in the draft. I saw the work he put in and when it was his time, he made sure no one was going to take his spot. Even when Belichick wanted a new qb, Tom showed up and always played better than the young gun coming in. He kept winning and somehow the story flipped and somehow people hate him, he barely spoke. Now 7 time champion, 10 time conference champ. Just crazy to think he could've had all 10 rings.

@@fromthefrunchroom yep. While in business, it's NOT a zero sum game. In sports, you can respect your opponents, and you compete hard against them, yet not wish them ill, and every one makes great money. Yet, when you win, the other team loses. That's just sports,. In business, you can make yourself and clients money. Sure, you have competition that loses out, but it's not like you have to "crush your enemies" to win in business. You have to compete hard, but no need to see them as "enemies". In sports, a few athletes need to hype themselves up like that to perform at their best, but most don't. Pat doesn't get that not everyone thinks like him! I like him overall but it's crazy how he can obtuse at times.

Guys, as someone who had many failed businesses and is now running a successful one, this advice about being processed driven vs results driven is absolutely gold. Get a good process going based on what has worked for you, if you win great, if you lose, tweak the process. But don’t get hung up on the goal. That’s why so many people quit.
