I saw the original cast on PBS, and actually met Chip in L.A. I grew up in the theatre, and was never one to be a snob when it came to other venues of acting. So I thoroughly enjoyed Rob's film version. That's a great cast!

This is such a talented cast, it seems hard to single out one performer, but I would like to take a second to give a shout out to the actor playing The Steward. The Hollywood Bowl site says that his name in Daniel López. He is just so handsome and charming, I found my eye being constantly drawn to him. And that's a hard thing to do amidst all of these performers.
You know those comments where people are like "I'm here for...." It's really annoying so I make a little difference : I'm here for everyone because they are all really talented but I've known the show because of Gaten Matarazzo, Sierra Bogess, Cheyenne Jackson and the guy who plays Link in Grey's Anatomy bc yes I still don't his name and I'm ashamed of it... 😅 But anyway great cast and great show ❤️! Hope y'all have a great day anyway 😄💞

Often times in stage shows depending on subject matter, etc, the actors are older. Often times little red riding hood is played by an older actress even though that character is a teen.
In the original production, Jack is meant to be a mentally challenged adult. Hence the mother's line "Sometime I fear you're touched." Only in recent history did they open Jack up to younger performers as a way to make it more family friendly. The show loses some of its depth when Jack is a child, in my opinion.
