Nice tutorial on how to prevent the hood from not fitting correctly. I am sure that is a problem lots of modelers will have building this kit. Thanks for sharing.
So glad I found this! I was watching the race today and saw a great video on these cars. I haven't built a NASCAR model since 2012 and discovered this kit and ordered one. I can't wait to get into it and add some plug wires and stuff too.! Thank you!
That's what modelling is all about, also the amount of resources we have in this day and age is something modellers from older generations couldn't even comprehend .. you can be frustrated from a problem with thinning some paint then do a quick youtube search and walla, someone had posted a solution to the exact same problem for you to use without having to leave your workbench!
Thanks Luka, nice recovery! Pulling assembled parts apart is always frustrating to correct faulty assembly. Really looking forward to Part 5 of the series!! Please, keep wrecking the hobby!!!🤣😂
@@TheLukaCeeChannel I pulled mine out and took a look and saw an identical mark on the drivers side pilar I'm thinking vents all though no lines to indicate vents and nothing n the decal sheet for them.
@@greggreene3342 I am not sure what it is. But I know that it is not an ejector pin marl. I have see the molds and seen the body pop out. It wouldn't even make sense for one to be there.
I built real NASCAR race cars for over 25 years, I was wondering why plastic scale models almost always look like the roll cage tubes look to big, is it just a optical elision.
Just as well I watched this beforehand otherwise I would have been sanding and grinding that hood and getting stuck into that bottle of JB inbetween times.
I'm really disappointed with the hood and the cooling system on this kit. The ducts don't line up with the hood vents. If we're having to lock down the air intake with glue it's going to make a lot of the detail disappear for those who want to cable and plumb the engine. I guess it's good to know now before folks go down that road.
Even after we finally get to sit down, it seems a little wobbly on each corner and the ones high or ones low. I guess that’s what we have to deal with with styrene
Thanks for the request Rick Salvino, and thanks for delivering Luka Cee!

Wonder how you get the side windows to fit, I dont know if they go inside but the are too big for the outside
You will see in my upcoming Part 5 video.
Thx Luka
Great tip. My thanks.
Anything for YOU, Pat!
All "Problem Alert" videos are sincerely appreciated.
Did you notice the ejector pin mark on the lower part of the windshield pilar??
It's not a ejector pin mark. It's supposed to be there.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel are they air intakes?
@@TheLukaCeeChannel not seeing the injector marks in this pictures of the real cars.

Check out Darrin Cook's (The Grumpy Modeler) channel. He's building his with all of that removable. He's making it work.
And to think I thought you may need a bigger hammer! 🔨👍🙂
LOL! You know it, MAN!

And if all else fails, just put a hood scoop on it
If that's the kind of builder you are. Whatever works for you and your ability.
Sounds to me like it’s just a poorly engineer kit
