    Looks really good. I like how the laser print head can move in y axis. The mirrors have to cover less distance and it should be very accurate.

    I was going to say what if you used two lasers instead of one, but I see you’ve already done that with the new Form 3L.

    At 4:03 when you are removing the pattern, did the machine have to print that big handle? Is any of that resin reusable? Thank you

    • @t1merickson
      @t1merickson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 'big handle' you're referring to is part of the print. Only the lattice like structure is what's needed to keep the print stable.

    Are those filaments are safe for the kids? Example I printed some toys for my kids to play with and forgot to wash they're hands and just eat. Or if a small dog accidentally chew the toy is if safe for and not gonna harm his health?

    How long does the resin tank last? how many tank refills?

    • @Formlabs
      @Formlabs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tank lifetime is dependent on which resin is being used. Lifetime for Form 3 tanks is comparable to Form 2 LT tanks.

    • @johnrazvaliaeff
      @johnrazvaliaeff 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was just on their website. It says the LT tanks need to be replaced after every 2 liters. So that's basically 2 refills then you have to spend another $100 to get a new resin tank on top of the $175 - $200 per liter. They didn't want to be upfront with you and tell you the pricing.

    • @owencoyne6223
      @owencoyne6223 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      John Razvaliaeff that's incorrect. It's ATLEAST 2 liters with the Rigid, grey pro, and Elastic materials. You usually get about 12-15L with the standard resins and about 8-10 liters with the engineering resins.

    • @melkadri
      @melkadri 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I called them and I specifically asked about consumption and he was very vague when it came to it. Once I did my own due diligence I saw that these printers are not viable for production, rather than highly specific industries that can justify that material usage.

      Scott Klammer no. You need an ADAM or DMLS machine to print metal.

    • @owencoyne6223
      @owencoyne6223 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scott Klammer Also, only Tool steel and Stainless steel can currently be printed, and the machines that can do both, with the accuracy of the SLA technology cost about $200,000-375,000
