    You are really good and you are the only one, among many, to explain everything perfectly. I bought 5% lactic acid but I have never done a chemical peel and besides I have a little sensitive skin, I will do as you advised: mix it in the moisturizer (Cerave lotion). I should buy salicylic acid, as I have combination skin with blemishes and young skin, but I fear it is too strong for my skin. Right now I am using the probiotic serum with 4% niacinamide from Vichy but then I will switch to the serum from The Ordinary, the latter mixed in the cream. Grazie mille e ciao ciao 😊

    • @melzlikebee
      @melzlikebee ปีที่แล้ว

      we Matteo, ti consiglio in realtà di mettere prima il Lactic Acid e poi abbonda con il moisturizer dopo aver messo l'exfoliant (perché se mischi, potresti "cambiare" la formula, più che altro potresti alterare la funzione dell'exfoliant)
      Ricordati poi la crema solare.
      Per il Salicylic acid invece, io ho provato la maschera di The Ordinary con 2% (che trovi ovunque con questa percentuale) e non è irritante come pensavo. (anche qui abbonda di crema idratante, comunque lo sto usando da poco quindi ti dico quel che ho visto in questi giorni. ✌️

    BINGE watching your videos… so informative. I’m loving these series so much 🥰 i just have two questions:
    1) can i use vitamin C and TO alpha arbutin in the mornings together ?
    2) can i use my 8% mandelic acid 3 nights a week, and then BHA 1 night and then retinol 1 other night? idk if it’s too much actives for my acne prone sensitive skin (PS i’m also darker skin!) I saw in your other video lactic acid is better for darker tones than glycolic, but hopefully mandelic is also better for darker skin!
    Also suggestion for a video is acids / retinols you’d recommend for darker skin tones, i don’t see many videos like this and it would be sooo helpful for many :) Also, if you could do a video on choosing between AHAs / BHAs based on skin concern! keep doing you! you’re doing awesome!!

    • @Lauragement
      @Lauragement  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hey! I'm glad you like them! 💕
      1) You can, although I would not do it... and use them in separate routines
      2) yes you can definitely use mandelic acid for your dark skin, since you are acne-prone, I'd recommend 2 nights BHA, 2 nights mandelic acid and 1 night retinol ;) Make sure that your morning skincare routines are not too much and focus on a lot of hydration in the rest of your routines!
      Okay, it's noted, that would be super helpful indeed!

      Hey! Are you talking about the Niacinamide or Lactic Acid Serum? Just know that a product works by consistent use and continual use, if something works for you, then keep it up! Don't stop using a product if you don't notice anything weird or any irritation/damage in your skin. Also, you don't need "breaks" from products if everything is right for your skin😉

    what about Rose Water? Dr Dray said that it is overhyped, she said that it might even TAKE moisture of the skin, making it kinda senseless. I have been using rose water for years, but am questioning it, maybe its just BS of the beauty industry?

    • @Lauragement
      @Lauragement  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly, you're right! I think rose water can even cause "harm" to some people because most of the times it's derived from the fragrant part of the rose or even has some fragrant components added like essential oils or fragrance, and this could cause sensitivity or irritation. But if it's been working good for you and it's just rose water from the non-fragrant part of rose, then continue using it! It can actually bring some hydration and be good to your skin right after cleansing 😉

    Thank you so much for this video, I need help. I started using lactic acid in January and I thought I was purging, I have acne marks on my cheeks as that’s where I break out the most and after using lactic acid for almost 2.5 months I’m still breaking out. Now I have more acne marks and my skin looks worst than before. What can I do to improve this

      Hi! I'm sorry you're going through this... I think you should stop using it for a good month and see what happens, focus on repairing your skin barrier. How often did you use it?

      You're over exfoliating likely, cease using any aha and repair skin barrier

    Should I apply it on a dry or damp skin?

      On damp skin, but if your skin is sensitive more preferably dry :)

    Hi, I've bought the following products but I have no idea in what order/routine I should use them : the ordinary niacinamide 10% + zink 1%, the ordinary hyaluronic acid 2% + B5, COSRX BHA blackhead power liquid, the ordinary glycolic acid 7% toning solution, cerave moisturizing cream and COSRX advanced snail 96 mucin power essence. Could you make a suggestion in what routine I should use them?

      And how many times a week should I use them?

      Hi, I've created a Coaching Business where you can book me for a 1-1 skincare coaching session, and that's definitely something I would do there! Here's the link if you want to check it out: www.yourskinbylaura.com

    Also, do we put moisturizer on after the lactic acid and do we put this on damp face or dry skin after washing and drying with a towel?

    • @Lauragement
      @Lauragement  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      because you have dry flaky skin I recommend doing it after the moisturizer or mixed with it.

    Hey would you recommend that I use this under 25 but have some hyperpigmentation around my mouth area.
    Even if I do use it should I still apply to the rest of my face even though it’s not needed there

      Hey, yes it's fine for you, and you can use it all around your face!
