Hey BD I got a BNF Model F-18 and the Throttle was not set correctly..NX10. I had to delete that and just set up a new model with my settings ..I could not figure out the Blacked out boxes, and which way they were supposed to go... any direction you could offer would be kind? I really liked the Picture of the Tail Swoosh that was on the BNF Setup.. A video about Throttle set-up would be appreciated!

When setting up throttle and throttle cut,shouldnt have to change boxes.
Also pressing the Clear button twice will erase ALL characters to the right of the cursor when renaming a field. No need to blank out each individual character.

So I have a question with throttle cut and can't figure out what is wrong. My throttle cut is set to -130, when I flip into the setup menu and the plane loses signal with the Transmitter, the throttle turns on. Everytime, no matter what I try. Same thing happens if I turn the radio off, obviously same results. I've calibrated the throttle by pushing the throttle stick into full + position and the turning on the radio. I go through the series of noise controls and then the plane reacts and let's me know it's ready to go. But still the problem persists. I'm lost and can't find any info on this issue on the web. Kudos to you and great video!!
Wesley, you need to rebind the receiver with throttle all the way down on radio. When you have the throttle up at all and bind it programs that amount of throttle to the receiver when signal is lost. So when you go to setup menu receiver thinks radio lost signal,and also why you get a warning before proceeding.

Very informative. I saw a video where a popular TH-camr crashed his plane because he accidentally hit throttle cut during flight. Is it possible to set up an nx8 so that the throttle cut will not work unless it's under a certain percentage? Thanks Paul.
Logical function would be needed. Put on back right where default and probably wont be issue.
Can’t believe you have to use a flight mode to set up a simple warning. Should be able to set a warning to a switch position. “Throttle Cut off” or “ throttle High”

Check audio event assignment for that switch. Cruise callout is set to same position as FM1...
Hello BD, I have a question about setting up flight modes for my hotliner glider. As per 1min 02 - Does the order of flight mode switches 1, 2, and 3 matter? Currently, switch 1 controls the motor (on/off with a two-position switch), and switch 2 has speed, thermal, and landing modes (three-position switch). Depending on the position of switch 1, I receive different messages on my display. My objective is to always start the transmitter with the motor off and in speed flight mode. Any guidance on the optimal setup for achieving this would be appreciated.
Flight mode goes in that order unless changed in flight mode setup screen. Also you have audio call out for flight modes and switch report. So both can callout and also something different if audio events are backwards from callout you want...
can a nx transmitter call out percentage of throttle instead of rpm?

Yes you can turn it up louder.I didnt so it was overpowering into the microphone.

How do you program multiple voices. I have my flight modes for stability on switch B with voice but when I try and set up f-mode for throttle cut on switch H, it will not let me do a separate voice for that switch. It changes switch B
You dont need Throttle cut on flight modes. Go into throttle cut menu and assign. Next go to Switch Change Report and assign the audio.
Flight modes is use for things like separate trims.
When I set up my NX8 Flight mode/Spoken Flight mode/Warnings. Everything operates the way it should expect. When your ready to Fly and you flip the Switch H. The transmitter repeats Throttle cut/Motor Armed. It speaks it 2 time instead on once. How do I fix this where transmitter speaks only 1 time? This only happens on 1 of my models.

After following your video and double checking to make sure I did it right, the cut and motor on are reversed on my Turbo Timber. Please help! Thanks
Settings > Throttle Cut > number highlighted is position throttle cuts. > Change to opposite number

I’m brand new and am learning to be safe the hard way. In an attempt to fix my problem I had the throttle at 0. I remember at the club hearing members talk about reversing the control. I was trying to correct my problem. So I went to Servo set up and reversed the throttle switch, as soon as I confirmed the switch the throttle engaged and the plane took off. 10 feet and smacked a piece of furniture. Luckily the plane survived and no one was hurt. After the simple fix you provided it works perfect. Wish I had reached out to you first. You are making my experience with the NX a great one. Would love to meet you one day.

Can the Knob be inhibited from controlling the speaker volume, so the speaker is not impacted when turning the Knob for AS3X Gain adjustment?
RKnob isnt assign to volume control unless you have manually assigned. Are you referring to the beep it does in the middle of the dial?
@@BDTennessee not referring to the beep. It announces the volume level. Very annoying at a very high volume.
Found it. System Setup > System Settings > Extra Settings > Volume Controls: Select.

You have the throttle cut switch the wrong way round
You can setup the other way if you choose. Switch away motor on and switch towards motor off is normal.
You move way too fast for me. Very good but just too quick with some actions.
Followed your video for flight modes put it on the D switch, works fine with audio warning when changing modes, then followed this video for motor cut and it works fine but now warning and audio for flight modes on switch D no longer work although flight modes work ok, What happened?
Sounds like this one is overriding the other audio callout.
