The second popular member of MAMAMOO are MoonByul (that why she the first member in MAMAMOO that have international solo concert because her company know how popular she is and her fans are willing to spend money on her). When people talk about MAMAMOO, the name that will come first either Hwasa or MoonByul. I'm not here to undermine other members popularity but even Wheein herself said she the last member that people will notice in MAMAMOO (she talk about this in variety show that she and SNSD Hyoyeon are both in). And if you ask other Kpop fans, some of them don't even know who Wheein is or they can't properly tell her name. So, I think 'she has insanely popular group members to compete with' and 'she is just slow starter' point that you give aren't the real issue at here. The problem with MoonByul music is her music is not mainstream type and to make it worst when company don't promote her music and support her solo career. Also if you aware, there are only little percentage of MooMoos who truly appreciate MoonByul as an artist. Just search any video or twt that talk about MoonByul sexuality, shipping between member, her look and appearance and you can found a lots popular video and hit twt that focus on above subject. But if you search popular video or hit twt that focus on MoonByul as an artist or her music, you will found just a few of them

I had to introduce them (e.g. my friend) to Byul's solo songs and now they liked them as well.
