I have lived in Panglao, Bohol for 2 years now and no where else I would want to live. But i do try avoid going into Tagbilaran as much as possible due to the traftic. And there is a Robinson's being built in Panglao at this time. But Bohol does have the best of everything, the city, the beach areas, the mountains and the airport and ferries which are just short trips to anywhere in the Philippines as well as other SE Asia countries.

Great video, and it looks like you both really enjoyed your time in Bohol! I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up moving there eventually, even though Roxas City is nice. However, it’s quite windy there and very exposed to typhoons. Bohol is likely to develop into a major tourist hub and a prime destination for foreigners looking to settle down. With its large size, numerous opportunities, proximity to Cebu, growing city, and modern mall, the potential for growth is immense. Truly, the sky is the limit for this beautiful island!

First time Philippines i stayed in Alona beach, in September for 9 days. Typhoon was crossing but it wasn't so bad just a bit windy and rain for the first 3 or 4 days, then it calmed down a little. Although no sun until the last 2 days. It's just a beautiful place and the people are very friendly and helpful. It reminded me of when I lived in Ko Samui for 6 months in 05, just peaceful and relaxing, But Thailand did have much better infrastructure even back then, I think if I do return to the Philippines I,ll visit their again, because I made a life long friend and it's so cheap to stay there. I only spent 1300 Australian in that time. And that was holidays. So I,m sure you could live a lot better if you stay for a long stint.

Bohol has a problem of water and electricity. Stayed in one of a family owned hotel in Panglao there are times I need to call in the middle of the night as the water is out. Also heard and read from FV posting that they have problems with turning on and off of the electricity that breaks their appliances down. My opinion if you want to live their you need to make a self-sufficient home. That means solar for electrity and deepwell abd filter for water. Probably the thing we would do when we finally decide to build a house in pur land in Bohol Island.
@hallfamilycibolo Jonathan travels all over the world, though he has spent much time in Bohol. He has had some great videos on Davao and Boracay, among others. I enjoy his vids. Anyhow, he is very entertaining and Filipinos love him ... he is genuine.
Malls in America are dying and the malls in the Philippines look like they're doing robust business... The demise of brick and mortar will prove to be a very sad chapter in American culture. It will also lead to the demise of many small family businesses that rely on foot traffic to sell food and other items. The reduction in face-to-face communication between store employees and the buying public has already created an entire generation of people that don't want to talk. And now you can buy a car online and just go to the dealer and pick it up without even shaking anybody's hand or talking to anybody. Bohol is fantastic. Been there two years in a row now. Living private in the countryside not far from Tubigon. Enjoy it very much.
You didn't go far enough into town. The have ICM. Island City Mall which is the size of most SM. Ask around about that one. Easy to find

Correct. ICM is a big mall

There is currently a Robinsons being build at Belleview Lifestyle Resort in Tawala. It is due to open in a few months time.
Wow! Bohol is nice! That view from your room is just incredible! I look outside my window in Ontario and all i see is dirt and snow😅

The new Robinson Mall will be on Panglao, not too far from Alona Beach. SM will be in Tagbilaran. Still no Landers or S&R to my knowledge.
They have a new complex condos just off the beach sales around 60,000 Canadian

You still need to walk along Alona Beach at night. All the shops, restaurants, and bars are great.
I will add that to the list for the next trip.
If you move to Bohol you can put up a business, even motorcycle rental there is quiet good business
To be honest we saw probably 100 motorcycle rental places in these 5 days
