Thankyou for your review. I bought one of these to replace my trusty Bosch which lasted 15 years or so. Fitting was straightforward though I did have to release and then re attach the water inlet due to a small leak. I have had an issue when doing a full load spinning at 1400 there became a smell that permeated my washing and did evaporate after a day or so. The smell was burnt onion, strange I know. It is a pleasure to use and I usually go for the eco long cycle and the 3 hour plus time usually drops an hour after 15 minutes running, as I guess the load is not too heavy. I always now use the 1200 spin as it gives an easier time. At 1400rpm the power is awesome but I want it to last.
Hotpoint renewed my five year old machine due to a recall and gave me thisfor free love the thirty minute wash great video but you forgot to mention the self clean by pressing the rinse button for five seconds what a great company Hotpoint are
Just had this model delivered today, used 3 times, so far so good, love the 45 min cycle. Steam option great used it on my towels on a 60 white wash. A good machine for price, didnt need a SMART machine, only 2 of us.Video was very informative and precise didnt need the booklets 👍🏻 👍🏻
I don't live in England anymore but you are so far ahead in energy saving machines. I am about to buy a Miele dryer because they are 60% more efficient than the vented units here in the US
I just purchased this exactly the same washing machine this week it does wash lovely but when it was on a loud spin cycle it was walking had to hold it in place till I watched this video it said something to take 3 bolts out from the back it never said in the instructions so glad to have found this you tube video nice to know about this information thank you so much 😀 😊
Yes they are known as transit bolts usually 4 of them which stop the drum from bouncing around when the machine is being delivered . Don't throw them away as you may need to use them again if you move home 😊
Very good informative video 😁 I replaced my old Hotpoint machine with the black version of this washer about a week ago and it's a great machine with plenty of options. One thing to mention though is that although the wash programmes are on the whole quiet the spin cycle literally screams at you...very high pitched compared to my old one so if you live in an open plan apartment you may need to go out 🤣
My lovely Maytag died after 15 years or so and I have been loaned the Samsung Bubblewash 8.5 (from my son who isn’t needing it at present) looks a lot like the model you are showing, so interesting learning. I have had to get used to the long time cycles and I’m sure it will just be my norm soon, though with having solar power, I like to run everything in daylight and living in New Zealand where we can dry outside all year round, I may have to do the load, late the day before so I can hang it out as early as possible the next day for maximin drying. Not ideal where wrinkles are concerned, but seems the only solution so far.
ive never been in the market for appliances and the like as i have what i need but i love watching these videos, very relaxing to listen too good voice. plus ive actually learned a fair bit from you on different things lol !
@@lords-electrical Does it tell you when you have reached the weight limit? The instruction say don't exceed this, but I was wondering how I know when I have reached 7kg. Thanks if you can help.
Hi :) Thorough video. Thanks. Maybe include where one is supposed to put the laundry liquid in? That's what I came for. However, you did help me find out which washing machine is in my home. Thanks for that :) Now I can look up the manual online.
Had this machine in black fitted today and the motor seems to hum / buzz quite loudly when washing and the when the drum is starting to move compared to our previous Indesit machine . The actual spin is a lot quieter however. We called Hotpoint who stated that is normal and the motors do make that noise in these. Anyone else noticed this on this model?
Hi my old Beko 6 kg packed up and am getting a new 8kg Beko. Insurance replacement. I'm older and am quite nervous about all the bells and whistles. My Beko fridge freezer also packed up 14 years old and Beko don't want to replace it, but put another compressor in. I looked at the plastic door seals after the engineer was here, and they are very compressed. Also an insurance replacement. I am really unhappy that Beko can decide to not replace such an ancient fridge. Could you please help me with this problem. My husband who is totally disabled and who insured everything can't help me. I now see that Domestic and general have been milking us for 10 years and in need it has been terrible. I really enjoy your videos. I looked at a 1 year old video of problems we have and will try to remember that I will not treat the new washer like the old one. Keep up the good work.
Excellent presentation as usual. One alarming thought that did cross my mind was that he BABY programme could be misinterpreted by people who never read instruction booklets to mean you actually can wash your baby !! I hope not but there's always one out there somewhere
Does using the steam option increase the chances of machine rusting or breaking? Also what is the length of the hose as I will need to pull out machine to get at boiler refill. Thanks
Very useful video but in what compartment do I put in the washing powder as the manual is not clear, please advise it is a brand new Hotpoint NSWM 743 UBS UKN
Why on some of the programmes the time symbol below the lock symbol is solid and then then other programmes the time symbol is blinking constantly and doesn’t finish the cycle?
Good video!! I subscribed, my old hotpoint washer dryer broke the door lock burnt and it’s going to take 6-8 weeks for the engineer to come and look at it if it can be fixed or not
Hello can anyone help please? Iv seen this model NSWF743U and another model NSWM743U. Are they the same? I can't find anywhere what the M and the F stands for! Thanks
The specs are pretty much identical, but normally a letter difference will mean a different model per retailer. Having a look the NSWM is mainly AO.com and its different companies or John Lewis. The "F" model is for all retailers though.
Heya! Yeah I bought it from very. I'm hoping it's the same or it won't fit my space for the machine as someone's made the hole incredibly small. I can't buy the normal 60cm wide or 85cm high so I'm hoping this one will fit xx
Another useful well presented video, the wash cycles on these new Hotpoint machines seem to take far to long, 3 hours+ is a long time to do a wash, far to long IMO. I shall keep looking for my replacement machine for my old Hotpoint WT540. have you any machine with more basic and faster washing cycles?
Hello there! I just bought this machine in black 3 weeks ago and already the door won’t close it’s not in line with the hole .I really don’t know what happen here could please advise. Thank you . Joyce
This sounds very odd that the door is not lining up with the hole. Sounds like there is a fault with the hinge on the door or if someone has leant on the door at some point bending the hinge?
I have this model, from having a leak which was the big black pipe on the internal drainage coming off. From this the machine started to shake quite violently ( I believe the drum moved out of place when I had to reattach the large black tube to the external drainage) The machine is now failing to take in any water! Is this a valve problem. I have checked the pressure on the water pipe into the machine and this is fine with no kinks. Is this an easy fix, Help please!
Did you remove the 4 transit bolts from the rear of the machine which stop the drum from bouncing around when delivered, they must be removed before use.
Interesting as ever but I don't think in any of your videos you have mention water hardness issues and treatments such as Calgon tablets. A lot of these machines seem to use liquid soap so what do you do about hard water treatment? Put the tablet straight in the drum?
Hello I have a similar machine 8kg but I tried putting it on today and realise that the key lock icon red light is on when the washing machine is active I dont know why does it mean there is a problem???
Put my new machine on today and through the cycle the digital display went off then on again was showing 38 mins left the it jumped down to 15 mins it's new only had it delivered on the 7th March can anyone tell me what's wrong and should it have done that ?
That can be standard. When a machine starts it doesn't necessarily know the load size or dirtiness of the washing. What it will do is to monitor the load as it progresses and adjust the time accordingly.
Hello I have a question Why my washing machine starts rinsing the laundry in about 12 minutes to the end, then spins and draws water again for a while and this rinsed laundry no longer smells because it is rinsed back by clean water (45 min cycle)
m getting F05 on the display ,I wonder what is this? Please also go through some of the popular faults that is appearing on the display screen and how to handle these?
I set White cycle wich display indicate 2 hours. But after more than 2.5. The display showing almost for 1h, than is 1 more minute and conditioner stil is in the detergent drawer? Any clue whats wrong?
Could be a couple of things, just check that the load you are putting it in, is suitable for a full load. If the load is smaller then it will take longer than the initial time. Also check to make sure the tap is turned on enough that is supplying the machine. If the water pressure is too low then it may struggle to wash properly and take in the amount of water required to take in the detergent from the drawer.
Just ordered one today, with my curries voucher. I had a hoover one touch 8kg and had a few issues with it, looked after it well but it’s only 3 years old but it does get used a lot! Sadly, it’s being signed off and it’s got a mass amount of rusting due to a slow leak inside the machine! Curries have been a nightmare with warranty. Would you recommend registering this with the manufacturer for warranty instead? I really don’t want curries insurance again!
It is normally at the bottom of the washer, but you need to get a screwdriver to remove the plastic flap then you should have access to it. Be careful though as you can easily scratch the machine.
My want to buy a new washing machine / washer-dryer, for a let out property, the measurements : 85cm x 60cm x 52cm, could you please recommend a couple of washing machines/ washing dryer? Thank you.
Just bought this machine recently. So far have used twice and noticed after each use that quite a bit of water remains in the rubber sealant part. Has anyone noticed this on their machine?
Where's all the Miele? I've looked at all your videos, but there's none for Miele appliances. It would be great to see you present their washing machines or dishwashers. I love the brand... definitely worth investing in for peace of mind.
If there's one thing I never wash, it's a duvet. My opinion is, throw it away and buy a new one. If you must wash it, take it to a laundrette that specialise in it. Washing duvets at home is a nightmare, it 'walks'the machine all over the floor and can damage the drum bearings. Drying it takes forever and those 'bedbugs' never really disappear, unless you run a wash over 80 degrees C.
They don't have a half load option as they will take in the amount of water for each wash load. More efficient way of washing now compared to the old half load option.
@@lords-electrical I want to know how you know the machine is at max load. It sayS don't go over 7kg, but no-one weighs their washing. Does it give an alarm. You DID NOT MENTION THIS. Hi just got this washing machine today but can you tell me when I wash on the delicates can I turn the spin to off and just use this cycle as a hand-wash. Thank You.
To be honest after the abysmal customer service with the tumble driers I wouldn't purchase anything manufactured by the Whirlpool group. Took them well over a year to offer me a replacement lower spec. drier when I had said that I wanted my one fixed. I had already replaced it by then.
I have this machine less than a year. Its the worst machine I've ever owned. Used the long hot white wash and clothes are still stained, used plenty of soap pwder ect. Plus 1400 spin leaves clothes rather wet, so I am very disappointed.
Terrible washing machine. Will destroy and stain your washing. Hotpoint engineer will blame oil/grease stains on soap powder. Laughably incompetent company DO NOT BUY HOTPOINT IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY.
Overlooked some obvious points. It says don't overload maximum weight. My question to this man is: how do you know? I don't know anyone who weighs their washing. Does it give an indicator or warning if it is too full? He did not mention this. IMPORTANT. I have asked him below, and had no reply. Another thing is the dispenser drawer. I want to know HOW IT WORKS, not how to pull it out!!!! The instructions say: remove plastic partition for liquid and put into slot B for powder. He should have shown this most obvious function. I am still no further forward, so just put my powder into the large hole and hoped for the best. I would like a demo of how to remove this plastic partition and where to replace it, which is powder, liquid etc. Too much rattling on about baby cycles. Don't subscribe or give him any advertising time, if he can't be bothered to reply to your queries.

Please the 7kg machine wash and dry clothes please
these are not good modles these are made to brake down ofter a year/or a few months
Sorry to hear you've had issues with your machine, we've sold a lot of Hotpoint washers with very few problems.
55 minutes for a spin and drain!?!?
@alwl89 Machines typically don't do a load sense on a spin and drain cycle though, unless this one is different?
It does 2 to 3 rinses and full spins soo 15 min rinse and 10 min spin I believe
