    The Auto clean function is activated by holding down the "Extra rinse" button for 5 seconds, whilst holding the button watch the display and you will see the words " Auto clean" scroll. Wait till it finishes scrolling and the machine will automatically lock and the display will now read the duration "1.10" once that all happens just leave alone till done. Remember 🎵🎶🎶🎵 "washing machines live longer with Calgon." 🎵🎵🎶🎵
    (I did actually put mine in the drum.) Make sure it's empty tho when in auto clean mode.

    Good video, just bought one of these this week, the first night, it ran all night, and was still going in the morning. When I eventually got it to stop and open the door, the clothes were still wet, tried to do a spin and drain at lunchtime yesterday, it was still going at 7pm last night. Wish I'd bought a reconditioned washing machine that is far easier to use and more economical. Considering sending it back. New technology on everything is far too complicated, for the most simplest of tasks. I chose this model for the colour, brand and price, wish I hadn't now. Had I watched this video prior to purchase, I definitely wouldn't have bought it.

    I have a new Hotpoint NSWA 945C also 9KG. I just did a wash using liquid and after it finished the wash the liquid was still in the compartment. I used the blue plastic partition and the liquid was in the correct compartment.

    I bought the 9kg model and there was no liquid level plastic part in my bag. Overall I m happy with the 45 min 9 kg was and the 20 degree full wash. I use Calgon in my machine every month and sometimes run a bottle of vinegar too as I live in a very hard water area. I like this machine.

      The liquid level isn't in the bag , it's in the draw in a little slot on the left to take out next to the conditioner trap

    Just watched this having had the machine for about 2 years. We solely relieved on the 2 quick washes all the time thinking it was convenient. Had no idea what invertamotor was and how the washing machine reads the load. I have notice using the smaller loads my waste pipe is getting very gunky and smelly. I will definitely be using the other cycles from now on 👍🏻

    This machine is not bad but it seems to have a common problem with the following: during the cycle it will beep 3 times but for no apparent reason, no error warning and the cycle seems to go as planned but why is it beeping? After much research as Hotpoint don't offer much help it would appear that the Circuit Electric Board at the top/front is very sensitive, if there is any slight bit of dust, grease or dirt on it it will beep beep beep ... Very annoying indeed, but I have heard of this happens you have to take damp cloth and wipe thoroughly the front top panel and knobs and buttons. If it still goes Beep Beep Beep during the cycle press the Delay button and it will stop for the remainder of the cycle! It took me ages to find this out so in case any of you reading this experience this issue I hope this may help.

    I have the active care version of this washing machine. I have had it for just over a year. Would never buy hotpoint again the clothes have never been so creased no matter what cycle that I use or how low the spin speed is.
    The seal was over lapping the drum when we first got it and would smell of burning after spins. Now it can sometimes get stuck on 1hr 12 on cycles and won’t progress any further so you have to manually rinse and spin. Hotpoint have said no faults with the machine.
    Previously had a Samsung which was so much better. Will be buying either a Samsung or LG in future. Hotpoint certainly aren’t the brand they used to be.
    Anyone who is considering hotpoint needs to really think twice.

    I have the 1600 spin version of this machine, the only problem I have found is that the fabric softener doesn’t seem to penetrate the clothes very well so the fragrance doesn’t seem to go on the clothes, softener goes in ok but doesn’t seem to leave the laundry smelling fresh. Any ideas??

  • @janetcox1699

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Normally what most machines will do is to flush the soap drawer compartments out with a small amount of water at the end of the program.

    • @siobhanrose9515
      @siobhanrose9515 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree. What happens with mind is weird. First off i don't use fabric softener ever, I put Washing powder directly into the drum not the drawer. I make sure also I don't use too much but *sometimes (not always) when the cycle is finished and I open the drawer to air it out the blue fabric softener part has quite a bit of water in it's one time it was literally full of water, Why is this happening?? I know some water will he left just a trace of water but this is too much and I can't figure out why? Does anyone know 😢 So annoying

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are after the full 1400 spin then i would stick with the Cotton programs as you should be able to select the full spin to extract as much water as possible. Also make sure that it is a decent load in the machine. If your load is too small then it may not balance properly so it will not spin at the full spin speed.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be that the program you are washing on has a small load capacity? It is standard to add time to a wash if you are putting in a larger load than is set on the machine for the program you are selecting.

      I have a hotpoint too. Honestly it's very easy but you have to prepare. The one big thing I hate is I cannot get a tray shallow enough to fit under the machine to catch the water once the filter door has been opened, so I rely on old towels to soak up the water. So what you do is open and remove the panel at the very bottom of the machine it will come off, slowly turn the round shape knob anti clockwise and you will see water spill out, once the water has stopped you get an old rag and wipe just inside the area and make sure you can gently turn the fan manually inside. Oh and make sure the power to the machine has been turned off !

      Does sound odd, i assume towards the end of the program the water will empty from the machine? sometimes the water will stay within the machine to try and soak the clothes. Sometimes if the water pressure is too low or the tap is not turned on enough, it can struggle to take all the conditioner away as well.

      This does sound odd and i would check to see if the transit bolts have been removed from the back of the machine. The main reason a machine will move is if the transit bolts have been left in which will damage the machine and will not be covered under the warranty.

    How do you unlock the dam door mid cycle?!

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can't normally unlock it mid cycle as it will have water in the drum and it will need to be emptied first. You will need to cancel the program and drain the water before selecting a new program.

    • @Azazl187
      @Azazl187 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lords-electrical this seems unusual. I've had machines before where you pause the cycle and the door unlocks after a few minutes where you can either remove an item or add one. What happens if a phone is in a pocket? You wouldnt be able to get it out and essentially would have to run the programme or take the machine apart. This seems like a design oversight from Hotpoint

      First of all is there power to the machine? if there are no lights on at all then it could be a faulty socket or a blown fuse. After that i would see if Hotpoint are willing to help out if its still under a warranty.

    How do I use a program to self clean the machine?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If a machine hasn't got a dedicated self clean program then i would normally recommend just selecting a Cotton program, putting it on a 90 degree wash with no items of clothing in there. That way it will put the machine through a high temperature program to clean the machine

    Why some washing powder stay after the washing finish ?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Couple of reasons for this. First of all make sure the water pressure is enough to take the powder through the machine. If its too low then there may be residue left at the end. Also you may be overdosing, so may be worth reducing the amount of powder you put in the machine, as modern machines don't need as much detergent as older machines used to.

      Assuming your machine has it, then the Eco 40-60 is normally the most efficient wash. It will take a long time to wash but it is an efficient way of washing.

    Why does my washing machine bleep during cycles

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not too sure, but sometimes it can be that there is an issue with the water supply or it could be the waste outlet that may be blocked if it is struggling to pump water out
