I am 55 + years old now, and also an old timer skateboarder, I skated back between 1975 - 2015. But still skate often for the exercise. However, in the early 1980’s I use to make my own fingerboards for my skate friends. I would make them from layered paper and crazy glue, and would use a head gun to mold the board onto shaped wood mold that would give the concave and shaped kick tails. Now the trucks were made from carved aluminum and wheels were made from old cassette reel spools. So, essentially I can consider myself is an unknown pioneer to this finger boards, but I figured that someone else would pick-up after what I left behind. Cheers!

It's just an amazing piece of tech that get's you straight to where you want to be. Ultra high precission with less effort. I'm pocessed too. I spent like 2 hours just with a rail or the desk appreciating the subtle and precise control and the ease of how you can do tricks. the g15.12 is close, but the g16 is outstanding. if you have some wheels whit a bit more weight like the RV2 you can even crazier pops. it's defentiely the best allrounder board
Mike makes every board with a single deck cast, by hand. They are meticulously crafted and thats why options vary when picking out. Ive seen the process first hand. 😊

hey could you make a video about split plies? I tried it and my board just snapped.
I got a G16, and was blown away. I simply skate better with it. Hands down favorite shape. A heads up, for me, I like a mini wheel on it since the kicks are steep. Try it with BRT’s, illpill minis, and your favorite grip. My favorite setup

I love it! been rocking this deck in all maple for about a week with classic inverted dynamics and illpills. I originally got blackriver trucks to go with it but I tested it with both and ended up swapping with another setup for the dynamics. Dude if you just give it a little tap and lean your fingers back it hops right onto them in an upside down ollie, kind of like a super rocket'ed cheater ollie where you just sort of hold it and you can literally run across the entire room before reintroducing gravity. I mean I dont use it to ollie that way... I'm just saying the physics on this thing want it to go steight up and fall toward you, which I really dig. I was comparing this same little tap on some of my other setups and all the rest go up and then flop left or right of you but this one comes perfectly back towards your fingers. I dont know if im explain that right in words ha. Anyways this deck is mad dope, im really digging it. I have another heavier setup with a sorry deck I use for staying very low, which I also really love, the g16 with dynamics is like the opposite of that setup, I've been going back and forth between them both.

I just got a tech deck pro series and after 1 hour of using it the core wheels broke and the trucks fell apart the board is still nice tho. Trying to get nice new trucks and nice bearing wheels.

I got one of the G16 too I’m a bit upset I didn’t get the color way you got 😩 I love the black and white and colorful bottom plys but I got a pretty cool cream, burgundy bottom ply that matches my stickers so I guess it’s cool 😢it shreds great though!

Same. I have the G15, G15.12, and G16. There's some magic in my G15s. They are thicker and heavier and just feel so much more premium compared to my G16. They used to extra lacquer them or something. Or maybe because Mike was actually making them then. Idk. But I much prefer them over the G16.

You don't have to pick a certain option in case one of them wasn't in stock, that's wrong. You pick 3 bottom plies that you would like to have and flatface tries to give you the one you asked for. And most of the time, they don't accommodate. Each bottom ply you get from them is always random. That's also not a split ply, that's a premium ply. Split plies are different from the premiums.

This board is so good i dont even want to ride my other boards anymore been looking to buy another one and try this board with dynamic trucks ( the highkicks with basicly no concave does take time to adjust 2 )
I have one with BRR and one with Dynamics. The dynamics on it are a game changer. Doesn't even feel like the same board

This is my main deck using dynamic V2 trucks with Flatface G8 wheels and it's got s lot of pop I'm new and I can't hardly Ollie any of my other "regular" style boards. Any update on how this has been performing for you?
