So I listened to Life Is But A Dream a little last night and just finished listening to it. It is a very different album lol I enjoyed it here and there. A 3 out of 5, leaning to a 3.5 out of 5 is where I would put it. Is it creative? Sure I suppose. I think it’s better than Hail to the King, hands down.
What I don’t get is the fury of these type of fans. Like they need to calm their tits. It’s music. Not everyone is gonna agree with everything. These are probably 13 year olds or 50 year old incels using usernames as a mask to be tough. Typical nonsense. They need to grow up.

As someone who has a death bat tattooed on their right forearm, i feel for you. I think hail to the king is a top 3 a7x album and i get told im a “fake fan” for having that opinion. Hating on someone for having a different opinion about music is ironically what the band members of avenged sevenfold are against. M shadows literally said he doesnt care about negative reviews and he and the rest of the band puts out the music they want to. If these fans listened to him the world would be a better place.

Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band ever. They inspired me to pick up guitar and get better at singing and I agree with a lot of the things you said. Some points you made I don't agree with, but everybody is entitled to their own opinions. If we all had the same opinion, life would be hella boring.

I love this album, but i think there are better prog albums out there. Bands like Ne Obliviscaris, Leprous, Persefone, Polyphia, Pink Floyd, Opeth and many more of them, have amazing discography's. But the most important thing is to enjoy what you like, and not what others want you to like.

As an A7X fan, I’ve been incredibly disappointed and saddened with how toxic some parts of this fan base has become. I guess I always knew it was there, but I didn’t see it until after LIBAD came out, and the absolute vitriol that’s thrown at those who even have a slightly negative thing to say.
What I think they need to get is that we aren’t against them trying new things or experimenting, but also recognizing that when people say they enjoy their classic sound more, it’s not the same thing as wanting CoE2, or Nightmare 2. We just want good quality music, not whatever clusterfuck LIBAD was. The Stage was risqué, but still felt like A7X, and it’s one of my favorites.

I personally found Nobody a very goofy song and find myself laughing at some of the composition, especially M. Shadows vocal delivery. I don't cringe as much as I just find it comical. Favorite part of this song is the barbershop harmony and Syn's main lead riff and the solo.
Edit: I like Nobody for it's goofy arrangement, but Matt's vocals are very iffy on LIBAD and the album is weird. Don't listen to A7X that much but love Shepherd of Fire and the HTTK title track, rest of HTTK does literally nothing for me, haha
