Your video makes me want to fly from the US to Bangkok just to ride a bike in Lumphini Park! If (When) I get to Bangkok it's first on my Banquet List of things to do! Thanks so much!❤
Thanks Jeroen! Always good seeing you on your bicycle riding around the parks. We’ve all been waiting for this one! And bonus shots of both Dusit Thani and One Bangkok developments.
Very nice! My wife doesn't like cycling in Bkk, but maybe on a sundaymorning it is not too busy like you mentioned. Thanks for the vid again, will stack this one upon other idea's of yours.
Thank you for this. I too noticed the beautiful drone shots. I wanted to bring my drone when I come to Thailand but unfortunately, according to my research, all drones in Thailand have to be registered no matter what the weight and liability insurance is compulsory. Did you find all of it a difficult and time consuming process (and costly?) or is it straight forward and relatively fast? I am spending a few months per year in Thailand, is it worth going through all this to bring my drone? I'm currently based in Oz and we are lucky here; CASA registration and liability insurance are only compulsory if you are flying drones commercially. I'd love to hear if you have any input on this. I'm sure there are other drone enthusiasts following your channel 🙂
Always enjoy watching jereon,,,,peace and happiness 😊😊😊😊 I’m liking the music in this videos too 😊😊😊😊😊how long did the dusit hotel take to build jereon
I've been googling, but I cannot get recent information on opening hours for bikes in the parks. Lumpini I got 10 AM to 3 PM from this video. Is Benjakitti from opening in the morning until 5:30 PM? So all day? I was walking through Forest Park about 4:30 PM yesterday and the spandex crew was ripping around the corners. Your early morning rides have inspired me, I am going to buy a folding bike so I can keep it in my condo and take it on the MRT, etc. In the meantime, I'll give this shop some business. And as others have mentioned, love the drone views!
@@globaltravelmate Thanks, I was hoping to edit before you answered. I walked the park again this evening and saw the signs since I was looking for them this time. 6 AM to 5:30 PM. Checked out the spin bikes, they are nice and spinning is a great workout but without a fan blowing directly on me, I'd be a wet mess.
Perfect timing. Just this morning I was thinking I need to check out bike rentals for both of the parks, as I will be visiting next month. And here you are, with all the information I needed. I also want to ride the Green Mile for some Instagrammable moments like the kids in this video: th-cam.com/video/LBSrgQvErZM/w-d-xo.html
Do not attempt the "Green Mile" if you are bicycling with women, children, elderly, or the out of shape. For some it has been a death sentence. The multiple stairs are long, steep, and dangerous. Due to construction, there are several dead ends that are no fun to discover. It's not worth trying to tour both parks using the Green Mile link unless you are up for a workout and are not accident prone.
Do you have to wear the dork helmets when riding a bicycle in Bangkok or not by law? I know motorcycle helmets are required by law but they are only enforced on farangs, not locals. Thanks
@@globaltravelmate Do you know if you can get a Bolt/Grab car ride big enough to put a mountain bike in to drive you from the Sukhumvit/Asoke area to this park? I don't want to ever drive a bike on the open Bangkok streets since I'm not suicidal. :) And fyi you'll be one of the realtors I use for showing me two-story duplexes in the 50K-80K baht per month range. Hoping next December for 9-10 days trip to fact find exactly where and what areas I want to live in. The Room 21 Sukhumvit (12th-26th) floor duplex 117M-120M size is the current front runner. The Lofts Asoke I love the 1bdr/1.5 bath unit but way too small (76M) and I really need at a minimum a 2bdr/2bath and I don't love the Loft Asokes 2bdr/2bath layouts at all and no 180 degree views like the biggest 1bdr unit. And their 3bdr/3 bath penthouses are amazing but $5K-$6K USD a month is a little too much professional Bangkok baller level where I am just at the amateur Bangkok baller level. Hopefully, in 14 months more places will be built that are like these two. Thanks. Future Thailander from Texas.
My advice: Never never ever rent a bicycle in Bangkok. Only if it is electric. I did it twice, and both times I was fed up after five minutes. It is exhausting in the heat.
The use of the drone to show the parks relation ship to each other is a game changer. You could show routes and more . Glad you did it
This is great for exploring the Parks on a bicycle.
3:06 Check out the fridge. Singha lemonade is outstanding and sugar free. Only availible in Thailand.
You should try!
Love it!
Now I have a idea how the parks are connected, thanks to your drone video, will do it in November😊, thaaaaank you 😊😊👍🏼🇹🇭🤘🏼🚴♂️
Great video Jeroen, I been to this park many times good to see you can rent now a bike I wish the shop was already open when I was there.

It is really close to the park. Might try it out!
Looks like fun ride. We used to rid bikes all the time during teenage year in Bangkok.
Cheers from Thai in California!

ว้าว บรรยากาศดีจังเลยค่ะ 😊
It’s such a nice Park the Lumphini Park for Walking and Bicycling. 🙏
Great episode!
Love it!! Thanks again! 😃👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼❤️🤍💙🤍❤️ Will be renting bikes to explore. Let's gooo! Can't wait!
🙏🏼🇹🇭
Lovely video, but rather expensive rentals. Are bikes still available in Queen Sirikit park?
MotorBike rentals cost 200 to 300 a DAY
This is exciting, I had looked at the bike share station on Rama IV but that isn't available to tourists. Thanks for the info!
Love it❤❤❤
Good Jeroen 👍👍💪monitor lizaaaaard hihi 🚴 ciao to the next videoaaaaa😅
Good to know, thank you
Just A bit expencice compared to daily scooter... rental
350 Baht for 2 hours? This is the rental fee per day for a scooter in Phuket! Wow!
Saw this shop in July while walking Soi 4. 👍
Thanks jeroen 👍
FYI the 10 am opening time at Lumpini is for bicycles. The park is otherwise open pretty early for runners/walkers
You are correct. The park opens every day at 4:30
Finally!
I live in Tokyo, there are really not that many bike paths like that here. There are not many bicycle rental places here either.
Very nice👍😊

Please go to Skylane (top 5 bycicle track in the world) it has 22 km long.
It's nice indeed. Filmed there about 4 years ago. th-cam.com/video/ZMIgssq-DIM/w-d-xo.html

Quite expensive
Heb ik Hans en Bianca niet ontmoet toen je weer even thuis was? Bij Molly Malone?
Jazeker William, en nu zijn ze een internet sensatie! haha
Klopt! 🙂
Are you on Strava?
Haha, Hi Paul. No I am not on Strava. I had to google it and thought you asked me if I took some kind of drugs. 😂 Looks like a cool app.

Hoe gaat ie Hans? zegt ie.. Fietsje drie maten te klein. Zit bijna dubbel gevouwen. Reactie Hans 👍🏻..... 😂

Imagine Bangkok becoming bike friendly and have ch bakfiets 555
Bike rental is expensive.
Maybe if they recoupe the cost they’ll lower it

I don't think by law. In the park you should be fine, but I personally would not go out in traffic anymore without a helmet.

If she's from Enschedeeeee you probably spelled her name wrong, should be Biancaaaaaaaa😂
People drive cars and trucks but ride motorcycles and bicycles.
