I don't think I'd be uncomfortable with an Insta focused cycle but I'm so impressed you guys roll around BKK like that. I was a messenger in NYC and BKK scared the crap out of me when I was there, but you guys make it look chill :)
Never imagine in my life seeing road bike BKK tour. I have seen several simple, single gear normal bike BKK tours over the years and I also did BKK bike tour by myself 20 years ago a few times on Sunday when biking back from Thonburi side of Bangkok to my town in Pakkret, Nonthaburi on a MTB, the so-called Nonthaburi-Thonburi-BKK loop over 2 bridges across Chao Phraya river.
Johnny, great content. I love it. You've inspired me to go to Japan next year. While you're in Thailand, check out the Thai Audax scene. Amazingly, 70-year-old people are doing 200 up to 1000km events.
This video sold me on going there for a cycling trip! Going to see if I can plan a visit around the same time as the Taiwan KOM, then hop over to Thailand after that event. Great content, man!
@@JohnnyZeeLee Awesome! Yup, Chiang Mai was my intended destination for Thailand. I might forego the TKOM to have proper time to explore the routes in CM. (Including your vids, I've been seeing a ton of cycling vlog footage of CM, looks incredible!) Cheers from San Francisco!
Bangkok has definitely cleaned up a lot over the past couple decades. Back in the late 90's and early 2000s you literally couldn't breathe the air out on the streets without a mask if you didn't want asthma like symptoms.
@@HappyRodi I forgot I also shot with a Sony ZV-E1. If you tell me the time stamp of the video, I can tell you which camera I used. Generally, any of the shots when I/anyone speaking into the camera, it’s the Gopro. The shots in the coffee shop were from the Sony. Other shots while riding were from iphone
My wife and I just came back from a Thailand trip. Amazing place. We stayed in Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket, and back to Bangkok. Bicycles of any type seemed to be a rarity and I was very surprised. Doing a Google search seemed to show Chaing Mai as the only place with a cycling scene. Especially mountain biking.
In Bangkok most people go to Skylane to ride. It’s a 23km dedicated bike lane close to the airport…both Bangkok and Chiang Mai have big cycling communities
your video makes me wanna join a ride like this when i visit.... i have all the cycling gear but is there a place i could rent a road bike ? thanks a lot !
I tried riding in bangkok, i got about 4km before i got hit by a motorbike doing a no look u turn which is the most common uturn in bkk. She just looked at me and rode off
@@JohnnyZeeLee google gran fondo new york and sign up for the race its 100 miles...winner gets like 10k bike... 2nd third place winner gets something too... :)
I think more selfies were taken than miles were rode. Nice footage. Stay safe.
Great B roll ! how you keep it steady on those shots is beyond me.

Also a messenger and BKK is fuckin' crazy. Still would love to ride there though. My gf wasn't with it though.

More reason for me to bring my bike with me when I’m in Thailand.
Great Video!

Yes my friends often tell me about the audax riders in Thailand 🤯
That was a fun video. Fun group ride. All those girls look like models!
this channel seems to have a chill vibe. so i'll subscribe. greetings from hotter-than-hell Texas. Ride safe. Ride hard.
That looks like great fun, chilled and unpretentious. The guy with 2 cameras whilst riding made me laugh.😂
Do you have a strava link to that route?

That’s great! Although this particular video was in Bangkok, if you’re serious about doing some nice riding, I recommend Chiang Mai
cycling in BKK is literally the most dangerous place, I'd rather cycle on a ridge than Bangkok (and I'm thai)
@@vip3rnb762 worse than New York? 🤣
@@smouvemouves Safety wise, ABSOLUTELY lol

even Bangkok looks peaceful on Sunday morning and so much cleaner than NYC
Indeed
That's because it is ❤

Where was the trip you were planning / discussing with the guy in white?
It was to Munich. I have a video about my trip to Germany.
Nice video bro are you back to Chiang Mai?
is there a cycling instagram/strava group in thailand/bangkok?
please, what is the music at the beginning?
I enjoyed your video. what is your camera? The color of the video and photo is good.
Pretty simple camera setup. GoPro Hero 11 and iPhone 14 Pro

Was this part filmed with an iPhone 14? Have you been nominated? I want to shoot like this too

Cycling there looks better than Singapore 😅
Nice channel subbed

Great Ride. 🚵
Nice video! I hope I can go back to thailand
I'm here in Korea now I know about a riding style of Thai. Looks happy everybody.
Too nice! Your camera choice?
I used a combination of iPhone 14 pro, GoPro 11 and Sony ZV E1
hi ! I happen to be traveling to bangkok for more than once this year....
your video makes me wanna join a ride like this when i visit.... i have all the cycling gear but is there a place i could rent a road bike ? thanks a lot !
In Bangkok I would check out skylane. For sure they’ll have a shop where you can rent bikes. Official name is Happy Healthy Bike Lane
You gotta try city riding in the Philippines!
Philippines is on the list 😃

Did you keep riding after that incident? I'm looking to move there and get around on a bicycle.
Chill and fun!
Good stuff! Love your content :)
2 coffee stops! How far did you ride 300km ? 😂
😂
Give me a shout next time you’re in Thailand! Will be cool to do some trips and explore 🙌
OH WOW NICE VIBE IN THE CITY
Love your vdo ❤
Cycling? For photos and eating I would not put on my cycling clothes 😅
Feels like almost everyone is wearing a kask helmet
Very good. !!

Great coverage, but too much selfies and non-stop pictures taking.......)))))
BKK? Why? It’s only the highest traffic fatalities in the world 🌎
Are you on a death 💀 sentence?
