OMG! You don’t know how much this means to me! I have never seen any cleaning videos that have addressed people with any disabilities saying that it’s ok not to be perfect and what you can try to do on good and bad days! Thank you so much for making me feel like it’s ok not to be ok and the world won’t end if I’m not 100% every day! X

Almost fainted today doing dishes. Needed to hear the “you do not need to earn your rest” thank you

" You don't have to earn your rest. " Very much needed to hear that. Been really struggling for quite awhile. Thank you.

A million times, thank you😭💚 Even living on my own, I continue beating myself up for not reaching my mother's cleaning standards. The difference is that she's not going to acknowledge my disability ever. I needed to video to be reminded that I get to design my life, keeping my health in mind and the things that matter most. 😌 I certainly don't remember my mother for the way she kept house. When I'm low energy, stressing about meeting someone else's expectations when I literally don't have the energy to causes me to neglect my own priorities - and there's not even anyone else around! These are great, practical tips that I can apply to simplify my life by focusing on what works best for me. I cannot thank you enough.

You are 💯 in charge of designing your own life-and you only get one of them. So design a life that works for YOU. ❤️

I can’t thank you enough. The constant guilt and sense of failure have ground me down for decades. I get a decent day, and I go overboard, because I don’t know when I’m going to be lucky enough to get another one. Then, I cripple myself, and I’m crunched and in bed for weeks. Like others, I welled up with gratitude. It’s like you gave us all a big hug. Again, thank you so much. I don’t think you know just how many people you have comforted, and continue to comfort. Now, where did I put that damn kleenex?

Thanks for this reminder. I am sick with the flu right now on top of a chronic autoimmune condition +ADHD so the struggle is real. Really needed to hear just do what you can and that I don't need to earn my rest. 🌷

I never considered prioritising my “Place of comfort”; it was always kitchen, bathroom and laundry. It is demoralising, though, that when you finally get to sit down, all you can see is dirt and disorder in and around you. From now, I will change my priorities.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It made me cry, I feel so bad about myself when I can't get up everyday and make my house all clean. I have a guilt for not being able to clean every room all in one day. This helped me to realize that I'm the only one putting this guilt on myself and trying to reach a standard that is just not possible for me right now due to chronic pain. I feel lazy if I can't just push through the pain and fatigue and just force myself to work until I literally can't anymore. I need to work on being more kind and understanding with myself.

Thank you Katie, I too suffer from RA and fibromyalgia, so you know that you can never really plan ahead, I have to take each day as it comes. Sometimes nanny naps are really essential as night time sleep is not always good. Thank you for the good advice and I am now a new subscriber.

So many comments here exactly echoing how I feel! I too am crying 😭
I also have two autoimmune diseases and chronic anxiety and push myself to conform to other people on the daily because there are very few (in fact I have yet to find another channel) influencers who understand this standpoint.
I have found my happy place in your channel 🙌🏻💕💕

There’s 3 of us here but my bf (who is a great cleaner when he does help) works 6 days a week. He’s a carpenter and understandably is wore out on Sunday . My adult son is with us atm, because he’s dealing w his own health problems and I’m the only one who understands that. Then there’s me, with quite a few chronic illnesses 😢 I try, but if I have a day with any energy I still can’t finish half a room because it hurts to stand long. I’ve never been a cleaner but before the health problems I COULD clean the apartment in a day when it got too bad. Now I’m 52 and I just want a comfy place. We’re not in a nice apartment building, and we could afford something nicer but I can’t move right now so I’d like to at least have a decent home that’s comfy and cozy. My mom and sister keep their places spotless, but I just want clean and messy (just not mini hoarder messy)
Anyways, I just found your video and I’m going to watch more. I’m going to keep trying!!

I haven't ironed anything for over 13 years, I just wash the clothes then hang them up to dry.

I got myself a robo vac and wondered why I waited so long. When I do have energy to clean “Poindexter” takes care of the floors.

What if you have also a job? You have firstly go to work, only after you come home after work, you can clean, cook, etc. And you have to go to work every work day... The boss expects you to be there...
