"replace them at least once a year", "it's always good to stick with the factory blades, because they were engineering and designed for your vehicle". Bull crap alert! Viewers of this video: buy aftermarket wipers with silicon blades since they last FAR longer than OEM crap. And that whole 'engineered specifically for your vehicle' is also a line of BS. Those OEM blades are made by another manufacturer, and they make them for a variety of vehicles, not just Subaru vehicles. To make your wiper blades last longer, clean your windshield regularly, don't run them over ice, and don't plow them through dirt (that's why they have windshield cleaning squeegees at gas stations). And while you're at it, another important thing to replace somewhere other than the dealership: tires. Invest in a good set of tires to match your car, and they'll be exponentially better than OEM crap.
+ciphernemo BTW, I have a 2011 Legacy, and I didn't need to replace my wiper blades until just now since I maintained them. That's more than 5 years of having the original blades, because I take care of them and my windshield. Now that I purchased silicon PIAA replacement blades, they'll last the entire lifetime of the vehicle if I keep my windshield clean.
zakyum, if you have questions regarding your Subaru and you are located in the Puyallup area, we would be happy to assist you. We are located at 720 River Rd, in Puyallup, WA. Thank you!
The blades last only for year and still it's better than after market products? What a load of bullshit.... I have a huge respect for subaru but dealers/sales guys like these are the people who destroy that good faith.
Best Video for showing how to change the wiper blades - (except for the traffic background noise).
Thanks. Finally found the right video. I had to go through 10 videos to find one with the correct “tab”Why aren’t blades universal?🙄
Thanx, couldn't believe how simple these were to replace
Thank you for posting this.
I would have been messing around for 20 minutes before noticing that little tab to press !!!
We are happy to help John Lang!
I like the enthusiasm Tom
Tom you rock. Rear blade on Outback was cinch to replace thanks to your video.
Happy to help!
You left out the part where it falls off ten times and flings into traffic the first time you use it.
Lol
Thanks for the advice on the rear wiper replace.
My 2017 Outback does not have the tab he mentions here.
Thank you very much! Everything is clear now!
I wish the camera was zoomed in when you were inserting
Isn't it much cheaper (and less wasteful) to replace the wiper inserts? In full disclosure why don't you show both methods?
why don't you show people instead of just complaining.
Thanks for the info. great video
My 2011 Outback thanks you and so do I!
2GigglyGirls You're very welcome! Enjoy your streak free windshield!
Thanks!
wouldn't it make SENSE to tell you the YEAR of the vehicle?

Waste of time again, you show this 3mm tab from 5 feet away
Absolutely no need to replace whole assembly.
You talk to the viewers like they're frail old men and women with dementia... "this is the blade!"
Thanks!
