@@janetrose7024you probably have this long figured out, but I was having the same issue. Seemed to me that you’d pull up in the opposite direction at the arrow point. So if the arrow was pointing upward, pull the arrow part back!

It's held on by the two circular pegs in on the side. You just need to pull up with a touch of muscle.
