Add on different snow loads too. In the U.P. I need 70 psf snow loads. Trying to leave rafters exposed. So would like tongue and groove over osb. Do a 6/12 skillion/shed roof/mono slope roof. Lots of names for same roof. Simple passive solar design.

Use Web floor trusses and channel HvAC and plumbing through these. And keep your open floor plan manageable such as 26x50 feet. Then small bump out rooms such as 13x14’.

Are there still incentives for solar on a new build in Ontario, Canada?

Hey @BCContractor thanks for watching! When I started my business, my first client was somebody I had done side jobs for in the past. That lead to a relationship with a designer and then things grew from there. When I started my business, I had already been in construction for 7 years and was leading custom home projects. When I went on my own, I had to go backwards in terms of the type of work in order to build up a reputation as a business. Ideally a newly licensed builder would start somewhere they learn high standards, building science and good habits!
