Similar to E4M7, this map has everything for an epic finale of the entire game: - imposing marble citadel - heavily guarded entry - lots of heavy guards (barons) - a huge supply "fountain of life" preparing you for the fight of your life - a heavily guarded boss finale And it falls short with the difficulty ratio.
Congrats on finishing Ultimate Doom on Nightmare! 🎉🎉🎉 This series inspired me to take on Final Doom (which I only played once on HMP, back in 2013) on UV. Bit of a grind but fun to get back into. 😊

One single mistake potentially undoing all your hard work thus far. This was edge of your seat action. Truly a doomer who stood the test of mettle!

"Dang it foiled again and I tried to have a real level this time...." - Spider Masterdork. Can't wait for Doom 2 it'll be interesting for sure and a little more fair than say... plutionia and TNT.

Godly run and series! I am glad I watched the DOOM 2 run first because I agree with your assessment on MAP 30 if I hopefully recall it correctly. I prefer DOOM 2's map design but there was something snappier about watching you blaze through DOOM's Nightmare! Probably more compact maps coupled with more backtracking which creates more urgency not to let too many previous rooms to be repopulated and the lack of DOOM 2 enemy roster giving Demons more of a spotlight as bulky fast running roadblocks as you backtrack/progress. Awesome job on both!
This was a fun series. Nightmare makes you really rethink the maps, and it's neat to see how all items and your strategies differed from Peter's approach.

This series has provided with very enjoyable daily decino watching! But that's not all - you've also pushed me to finish my first ever playthrough of Episode 4 so that I don't spoil myself on all the secrets and chainsaws! And it made watching E4M6 even more special since I've also died about ten times to various causes in the process of learning that map!

Great job on Ultimate Doom. Whether Sigil or Doom 2 is next, I'll be here for it. I'm mainly interested in knowing how you will do MAP29 of Doom 2 as that one is pretty difficult. I would like to get the platinum in Doom 2 on Playstation and the current tactic on completing MAP29 is to do 27, 28, and 29 in one go (because you start 29 with the BFG and plasma) but I'd be interesting in seeing how pistol starting 29 on (coop) nightmare would go. Anyway, great job again. Looking forward to the next one.

You telefrag it and then hit the teleporter in the lava that takes you to the red switch. Or ignore it entirely
