Do u know if they plan to fix the Xbox seeing the monitor at 4K? Was planning on getting this for my PC and Xbox series X, not worried about the 4K but monitor would be useless if u can’t use 120 HZ and HDR.
I am continually being told that you should not go over a 25 in monitor for 1080p gaming. People claim that anything bigger than that size will look pixelated. How true is this? The 25-in version of this monitor is sold out so I was going to get the 27-in
Not really true anymore. It was in the past but monitors now these days have that problem. The "Standard" for competitive Gaming is a 27inch Monitor and a lot of pros prefer a monitor that offers 1080p 144-240Hz (Because they don't care about quality, they care more about speed) I prefer both Quality and Speed which is why I really like the EX2710 because of 99% sRGB, HDR10 Support, IPS Panel, and offering 144Hz
Wait, so you’re able to turn on 4K even though the setting for this monitor is 1080p? You think you’ll be able to have 120 hz, HDR, and free sync with the Xbox Series X as the current Xbox CAPS at 60hz? I wonder if that’s the reason you can’t have all three options on. Great review! I current have the ASUS VP28UQG 28” 4K monitor and I was looking to investing into this BenQ for the Xbox Series X. Thoughts?
So it's not True 4K. Its upscaling it and the One X detects it as "4K" because of the HDMI 2.0 Port. The Series X should be compatible with this monitor to use 1080p 120Hz with HDR & FreeSync Support because technically HDMI 2.0 supports it so it should but I can't say for sure until we get the new Consoles
Quick question.. I'm in a predicament between this monitor and the HP 27xq. I have a ps4 pro atm also a PC and hopefully a PS5 in the near future. I mainly play FPS like Apex Legends. Which monitor is better? The BENQ or HP 27XQ. Thanks
I like the details you are specifying in the review. Appreciate it :-) . Especially that "For those who don't know" part for each component you are explaining.
Its a great option to get started definitely and you can get a nice PC and have a monitor that won't hold you back. Most people do 1080p 144Hz so that'll be fine for you
@@Tech_HD1 I mean since its bigger does it mean its worse? Is the pixel density bad on ex2710? I bought the 27 inch and idk if I did the right choice or not.
AMA should be set at the highest. AMA stands for “Advanced Motion Acceleration” and so going higher will improve the response time. So like for example, “High AMA” maybe have your response time at 3-4ms but “AMA Premium” will bring it down to 1-2ms depending on the Monitor. I hope this helps 😁👍🏼
Hi just wanted to ask your opinion on which monitor is overall better for the price, this one or the EW2780? Love the price of the EW but I want that 1ms response time, I’m going to be using this with my PS4 and eventually the PS5. Is it worth the extra $70 or so? Also if you’ve tried the EW is the input lag or response time bad?
So I reviewed the EW2780 and I saw you commented on it and I would definitely prefer the EX2710 due too the Higher Refresh Rate so that's great for Gaming especially for the Next Gen. Its brighter and more color accurate and the response time isn't so noticeable but everyone wants that. I would say for the price, spend a little more and you'll get something much better. You can use my code as well to save you a little bit extra as well but you need to buy that through BenQ site but just an idea
I just got this monitor and the first thing i noticed was that the moniter has a warm tone ive tried every setting and everything looks warm unless i put bluish which makes everything bluish now.. my question is yours the same?
I think you can use the freesync premium if you connect the monitor through DisplayPort and if you have the some of the 2019 or later nvidia GPUs. Not sure tho lol

So the main thing I see with the Acer and MSI Monitors is that they aren't too bright. Only 250 Nits compared to 400 Nits on the EX2510 which doesn't sound too much but when you put it side by side, you can easily see the difference. The other thing that I don't see is they don't support HDR which is a personal preference but for Console and PC Gaming supporting it, I see it as a necessity. The Acer Monitor doesn't specify anything about Color Accuracy unlike the MSI and BenQ. I think the BenQ would be the better option, then the MSI, then the Acer but it's really up to you

@@Tech_HD1 aw man just got mines in, had it set up then realized there wasn’t :/ wish i’d read this reply earlier, anyways what color mode were you using with your xbox?
Any monitor or TV would work for the Switch. That console doesn't require so much and not many people are really worried about the refresh rate or response time
Awesome video! I have been looking into gaming on a monitor. Just got the PS5 on launch day and I have this monitor coming in on Wednesday. As a noob, any special settings you would recommend? I will mainly use it for Cold War with friends but also be playing slot of the PS plus collection. Thanks!
Nothing major. Just have it set to Game HDRi since it'll support HDR and in the settings of the PS5, have it set to 1080p 120 Hz. You can also set it to sRGB for the most color accuracy
Did u try it out mate? Please let us know if 120hz works on cold war ? Many monitors that have 144hz dont work with 120hz on cold war even tho they have 144hz
Would this be better than a 4k monitor? I'm looking into buying my first monitor but idk what to go with my friends are tell me to go with 144hz but I want something good for gaming that will run good on ps5
The major issue is there no Monitor that supports 4K 120Hz at the moment since there no Monitor that has HDMI 2.1. So for the time being you can either go with a monitor that caps at 4K 60fps or get a monitor that'll do 1080p 144Hz. The PS5 and Xbox Series X caps at 120Hz at 1080p/1440p as well so its up to you
Hello, I just bought this monitor and I loved your video review for it. I was wondering what settings do you recommend for the xbox series x? I have HDR turned off and on FPS mode but should I change the brightness and other settings as well? Thanks
Thank You! I appreciate it 😁 I do the same thing and keep my Brightness at 100 and Contrast at 50 which is standard. I don’t mess with that as much. AMA set to High or Premium. Everything else is Standard for the most part
Will the benq ex2510 be good for the ps5? I plan on upgrading after a few years once they release monitors compatible with hdmi 2.1. Also, what are your color settings for this monitor?
Yea so that's the major thing I let everyone know when they ask me if it'll be good for the PS5 & Series X is there no HDMI 2.1 Port. This will be great due to the 1080p 144Hz (Most Consoles go up to 120Hz). The 99% Color Accuracy, HDR10 Support, and 1ms Response Time is a plus since you don't see that many monitors offer that at that price point
So for the Series X, keep in mind that it still caps at 120Hz at 1080p and 1440p but at least we are able to play at 2K 120Hz so the EX2780Q would be the best option. I personally mainly play on that monitor and it works great. 5ms is a bit higher then I want but I'm used too it and isn't that bad. I'm hoping for them to come out with a 4K 120Hz Monitor with HDMI 2.1 Support to specifically support the Series X and PS5 but I have no clue when that will happen lmao
Now then just joined the channel any chance you have got any settings for the BenQ 25 inch monitor I’m still playing on my PS4 pro at present keep the great video’s up JJ London

But you're mainly getting the newer consoles for the latest features like 4K 120 fps (and of course the newest games lmao). Otherwise, just stick with a PS4 Pro for a while at that point
Is the ex2510 the same thing just different sizes?
Yes
I ordered this monitor for my Xbox Series S. Will I be able to play "some" games at 1080p@120? Do I need to change the hz settings on the monitor and on the console for this ? Thanks !
Yes. You just need to set it to 1080p 120Hz on the Xbox and the monitor will automatically display it as that
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I loved the video and thought it was well made. I appreciate the help. I had a hard time finding a monitor I thought would support 1080p@120 with a HDMI 2.0 port but this is it!
@@nickbalant9606 Thank You 😁 I appreciate it. Yea HDMI 2.0 Supports up to 1080p 240Hz and 1440p 144Hz so you should be good 👍👍
is there a fps counter on this monitor?
No sadly
@@Tech_HD1 aw man just got mines in, had it set up then realized there wasn’t :/ wish i’d read this reply earlier, anyways what color mode were you using with your xbox?
@@cmtf3926 is fps counter that much important bro? Since new gen consoles can go up to 120 fps
@@buraktrabzonspor6164 not really, it’s just nice to know when you’re “framing”, it’s a personal interest usually
@@cmtf3926 thanks man, anyways are you happy with this monitor mate? Gonna buy it for the ps5 im resesrching for days now lol
I have a GeForce GPU so would this be a good monitor my first monitor so not sure.
Yes, since this monitor does support G-SYNC
Recommend if I just wanna play my Nintendo switch on it? idk what tv or monitor to buy :(
Any monitor or TV would work for the Switch. That console doesn't require so much and not many people are really worried about the refresh rate or response time
@@Tech_HD1 ok thanks!
No problem👌👌
Yes pls Let us know im thinking of Getting this monitor does it work? does it display 120Frames on it?
Would this be better than a 4k monitor? I'm looking into buying my first monitor but idk what to go with my friends are tell me to go with 144hz but I want something good for gaming that will run good on ps5
The major issue is there no Monitor that supports 4K 120Hz at the moment since there no Monitor that has HDMI 2.1. So for the time being you can either go with a monitor that caps at 4K 60fps or get a monitor that'll do 1080p 144Hz. The PS5 and Xbox Series X caps at 120Hz at 1080p/1440p as well so its up to you
@@Tech_HD1 kk ty ill go with the 144hz
Great review mate ! . would you recommend getting the ex2510 over the tuf vg249q ?
The are very identical in specs but go with the EX2510 since it has an HDMI 2.0 Port so that's more up to date
What settings are you running for games like CoD? I think the FPS colors looks over saturated. 😒
Just sRGB mainly. That'll have the highest color accuracy
Hello,
I just bought this monitor and I loved your video review for it.
Thanks for the info. Keep up the good work!!! I just subscribed to your channel.
Thank you! I appreciate it 😁😁
Will the benq ex2510 be good for the ps5? I plan on upgrading after a few years once they release monitors compatible with hdmi 2.1. Also, what are your color settings for this monitor?
Yea so that's the major thing I let everyone know when they ask me if it'll be good for the PS5 & Series X is there no HDMI 2.1 Port. This will be great due to the 1080p 144Hz (Most Consoles go up to 120Hz). The 99% Color Accuracy, HDR10 Support, and 1ms Response Time is a plus since you don't see that many monitors offer that at that price point
@@Tech_HD1 Alright thanks. What are your recommended color settings for the benq monitor you used?
@@Carlos-zy1jo I usually have mine at sRGB but then Gaming in HDR, Game HDRi would be preferred
@@Tech_HD1 hey is there a big difference in image quality/sharpness between ex2510 and ex2710 as i dont know which to get
Like can you really notice it when gaming?
Bro would you recommend me this monitor for playing warzone with xbox series x? Or do you think that is better the model 27800Q? Thanks a lot
You mean the EX2780Q? Just wanna confirm that's it
@@Tech_HD1 yeah sorry i mean that one! Is it a good compromise between video quality and performance? Thanks!
Hey congrats!! Fantastic video!! Plis I have a question:
Are there any difference between 27 and 25 monitors or not? Thanks a lot!!
Thank You! And nope, no difference. Just the size
@@Tech_HD1 okay thanks so much man!! So I’ll buy one 27” for play ps5!! Congrats again!!

asus tuf vg27aq vs benq mobiuz. Which is better I so confuse cuz I would like to buy a new monitor , help!!!
Console or PC??
Is gfuel for kids or only for adults?
Both
Can I run 1080p and 120fps on the ps5?
Yes, that's what I do
@@Tech_HD1 Which do you run for color accuracy, hdr?
@@Tech_HD1 did you test it? and are you sure that you got 120fps on ps5 with this monitor?
Does anybody know if u can turn on a additional extra crosshair on the monitor? Would be cool the know!
Unfortunately no
Nice video! What settings would you recommend when usinh this monitor on ps5 for mostly fps games?
FPS Mode to give you the lowest Response Time
@@Tech_HD1 how much is the response time ?
@@TheQueen-iy8pw 1-2ms
@@Tech_HD1 does it support ps5 120fps on 1080 I’m thinking about getting it for ps5 ?
Yes, 1080p 120 FPS. Unfortunately not 4K 120 FPS since there no HDMI 2.1 Port
What about pixel density at 27inch?
EX2780 or EL2870 for PS4 pro.. mostly playing cod & diablo3
Your talking about the EX2780Q vs the EL2870U right??
Does it support free sync and g sync?
It supports FreeSync. It doesn't say anything about G-Sync but people say it does so I would assume so
Does this run 144hz or 60 hz out the box? I dont have a pc to change display settings.
I would recommend to check the display settings just in case. Normally it does it automatically but you can manually change it just in case
will this run at 120fps and 1080p on the PS5?
We'll have to see but it should since 1080p 120 FPS doesn't require HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.0 Supports up to 240 FPS at 1080p

1080p@120hz over hdmi 2.0 on this monitor.
I will buy this monitor too for XSX (ex2510)
Just waiting for a HDMI 2.1 Monitor that supports 4K 120Hz🔥🔥🔥

1080p looks good enough, 4k is for me overrated
We will have to wait and see. That will take full advantage of the Xbox Series X and PS5😊
Will this be good on PS4/ps5?
Yes. But will only support 1080p/1440p 120Hz

Hi. EX2510 IPS or XL2411P TN?
Game - CS 1.6 Only, Work - Outlook, Browser.
Tnx
EX2510 100% Prefer IPS over TN any day lol
So you can use 1080p 120hz hdr?
Yes
The 4k models of this monitor are just not very good. They use TN and VA panels.
Anyone know how to make fps mode work. Its greyed out for me.
I don't remember exactly but you have something enabled that needs to be disabled in order to be able to use FPS Mode
You have to enable performance mode on your console
Awesome! Just ordered one, just the EX2710S variant which is the same but 165Hz
Can i use a monitor bracket / vesa?
Yes
Is this gonna be good with the Xbox series x?
Hopefully
1080p@120hz so yes. 4k is overrated
With all due respect, you don't know what you're talking about. Few misinfo I quickly caught:
9:00 HDCP 2.2 tricks consoles thinking it's a 4k-HDR monitor
11:45 brightness cuts in half with backlight strobing is common
13:42 G-Sync compatible only works with DP, but you are running with included HDMI cable
Watch RTINGS & HDTVtest to learn more basic monitor knowledge bro...
I appreciate the feedback man. Unfortunately I'm not perfect and I try to get as much correct. I wasn't aware of the HDCP 2.2 and the Cutting the Backlight and I worked with BenQ directly and ask questions and the reasons why weren't as detailed. However, any of the clips you saw with me using the monitor next to the PC, I had it connected through a DisplayPort, not HDMI.
