    Best video I’ve seen yet regarding changing the shift switch for 2013 CX-5. Precise and to the point! Only thing is I wish you would have shown the bad switch and the part that was damaged.

      I Kobe’d the old switch in the trash can as soon as I got it out, 😂. And I try to make the short and to the point. I hate videos that have a bunch of filler in them.

    Hey man, this video saved me time and a lot of money. Thank you so much. One thing I want to add for anyone else watching that I saw, there is a small clip under the switch when removing it. That may help people get it out easier. Also the dumb little spring thingy (no idea what it is), it's at the top left of the configuration, that needs to come off before taking the switch out.
    Thank you for the time and effort you put into this. I owe you one homie.

    Let me tell you! The struggle we had for YEARS with this issue was becoming unbearable. We found your video and ordered the part and about 15 minutes of "labor", we were in business! Thank you so much for helping with a problem that was literally challenging. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

      I’m glad yall got it fixed! Having to hold it and turn it off, or forgetting and coming back to a dead battery is terrible! Enjoy the peace of mind!!

    Man great video! My Mazda has been doing this all summer, and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out the issue. Such a easy fix, and thanks for the detailed video on the replacement!

    at 4:29, theres a separate part with a spring that flies off and falls down when you removed the neutral switch. You can see that part by your left index knuckle. People should remove this part before popping off the switch. And watch very carefully how you remove it so you can place it back exactly the same way. Great video but people just need to be aware of that one little part.

    Thanks for this. I unfortunately ordered the KDY0-46-040 when it should have been KDY1-46-040 for right hand drive :(. I found this out the hard way after removing everything. Not being able to use the new switch, i used some epoxy resin to repair the rubber on the old switch, waited a few hrs for it to cure, and re-installed. All is well now!

      I’m glad you were able to repair the OG part. I never would have thought to think that lhd and rhd would be different part #’s.

      @xazos 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DariusBuildz Yeah same. And what's worse is RHD is very hard to find and when i did, it was very expensive. The epoxy should outlast the whole car i would think ;)

    Good video. Just to reiterate another commentor, don't get aftermarket for this part (as many parts). OEM Mazda is the way to go, other wise you'll be doing this again real soon.

    Hello. Is it the same switch for the CX5 2.2
    diesel 2013

    • @DariusBuildz
      @DariusBuildz  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I am not sure as we didn’t get the 2.2’s in the States. The part number is in the video title so you should be able to cross reference to see if it’s the same part number.

    I wouldn't recommend buying the Amazon switch. ... I did mine last year with that model and it wasn't long till it didn't work either.

      I’ll keep that in mind if they tell me it’s messing up again.
