Thanks for this informational video. Is it the same way to remove the license plate cover on Mazda CX-5 KF? The video on the process to remove the cover seems simple but I tried on my KF and it didn’t really work 😅

Hello! Do anyone know the type of the light for truck and for windshield sun protection ones? Thank you in advance!
When replacing the bulb in the rear map.. the clamp came off and where it was attached it pushed up. I can't get to the piece that pushed up without pulling it down with a pliers but it when letting go, it pops back so you cannot get to it. Does anyone know how to pull out the whole box so that this can be fixed?

Bought these and it doesnt work for the 2021 cx5, the reverse and license plate bulbs are not the same as in this video. How do we upgrade?
Is this the same process for a 2021 Mazda CX-5?
Is it possible to change lights for the switches (ie. for power liftgate, i-stop, OFF, TCS Off, Parking Sensor)? If so, what lights do they use? I find them quite dark when lights are on. TY
PS. While at it, would be nice too to be able to change the lights on the door panels (ie. power windows).
Old, but you should have a dial on your dashboard display by the speedometer. Turn the dial when your lights and it should brighten it up

Yes, our LEDs are dimmable, and they would act exactly as your halogen bulbs do.

I'm having a problem installing the tailgate light on my CX 5 2016. There's no way that I can remove that cover without breaking the pegs that hold it in place. The force I would have to apply to remove the cover is way more than what I saw in the video. Any suggestions?

I had to view the diagram in the owners manual...it did pop off and not break.
I am also running into this problem. Can you explain how you made the cover pop off without breaking? It feels like the plastic cover is separate from the switch but the video shows they are all 1 piece.
@@FlyersPh9 The trunk light in that video is not like the luggage area light in my 2019 CX-5. I wonder if that's a different vehicle. Maybe they couldn't get the lens off either. I know I can't.
Michael Artis would you consider doing a video for 2019/2020 trunk light replacement? The whole unit pops out, dangling by its main wires and the clear cover does not look as easy to get off as others in car interior were.
If you add the LEDs on the license plate will that give you a better quality image on your back up camera at night??

okay so I've now damaged my mazda RBCM module which is $$$ to replace. Please put a note in your video to say either disconnect the negative terminal of the battery when changing bulbs or disconnect the light using the connector before installing the LED in the boot / cargo area.
I bought the license plate bulb from you a couple of years ago but I noticed that it on the left side it is starting to blink. Does that mean is getting worn out or could it be that it is just loose? Thanks!
If it’s blinking that means it needs to be replaced.
Does anyone know if the bulb sizes and types stayed the same with the facelift for 2017? Can't find any information anywhere on replacement bulbs for the 2017. :/
I believe so. I installed LED Bulbs in my 2017 Mazda CX-5.

however, the license plate bulbs did not work - too tall to be able to put the plastic cap back on. I too have a 2017...

The lights installed on this vehicle is the 6000K color temperature.
Whats the difference from standard and premium package?
The new Premium 5730SMD LED bulbs are the next generation of new LEDs. Compared to the older 5050SMDs, these LEDs have 3 times the light output per LED. The 5730 LED chip is designed for maximum light output while the aluminum housing helps to dissipate heat effectively for the longevity of the bulb. The new 5730SMD LEDs have a Constant Current Circuit design which helps maintain brightness if the voltage fluctuates within the circuit and has voltage surge protection up to 18V. And of course, all of our interior 5730 LEDs are backed by our 1 year warranty.

Hi! Yes, our LEDs are designed to fade on/off just as your halogens do. The majority of the interior uses a 29mm festoon type bulb (3022).

Unfortunately, we do not have an install video for your vehicle just yet, as we have not yet gotten our hands on one out here in Los Angeles, CA. However, the installation process is virtually the same for all vehicles. The halogen bulbs are very easy to access with our trim took kit, which comes complimentary with all of our interior LED packages. I would recommend having a watch on some of our other DIY videos, and you will gain a general knowledge of how LEDs are installed. I have linked our How-to Page below for your convenience.

hi, i got problem while unplug the lamp from license plate number. do you or anyone have suggestion how to unplug it? it's really difficult and take me 4 days 4 times to try it out.
Check out 11:06 in the video, you have to pinch down and pull the bulb out with your fingers.
Are these compatible with 2018 Mazda 6?

What kit is this? The Mazda interior lights stock are garbage and I need new ones for Ridesharing. But I don’t want them to be blasting peoples eyes out. I’ve always gotten Sylvania bulbs for all my cars for inside. Ddm for outside but the Mazda doesn’t need led exterior bulbs. What’s the benefit of your brand vs Sylvania?

So the 2018 doesn't let you get to the reverse lights like that. There's no panel. Are you about to find out how and where for that model? I just bought all your lights and want to install those. They are great by the way.
We will try and get our hands on a 2018 CX-5 for an updated video. However, it is likely you can access the reverse lights by removing some of the back paneling. If you are still having issues, feel free to email us at help@precisionled.com with some photos and we will try to help further.

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE DOING THIS TO A 2020 CX5 the LICENSE PLATES LIGHTS ARE ALREADY LED don’t force try to force it. The COVER is NOT meant to come off you will just ruin the light cover and possibly the paint.
be very careful replacing your lights in your mirrors.. i did this, and my passenger said the mirror was now useless. as she was blinded from being able to see herself.
