something a hustler / drug dealer would say . he didnt even know how the process of chroming works . the parts are not dipped in chrome like people who dont know how it works think . they are placed in a chemical solution combined with an electrical current that causes chrome molecules to stick to the prepared side of the part only because the non prepared side of a part will not adhere to the plating process but the dumb plaintiff did not know that but he said the judge didnt know .

My Dad always wanted to work on refurbishing vintage vehicles. He waited until he was retired and started his journey to purchasing his dream car, a vintage Willy's Coupe. It took two vintage cars, and I don't exactly remember the brand; however, he had time now retired to work his way up, on his time. One sold within 24 hours of listing, and the other was actually purchased while my dad was sharing pictures of the restoration. He proudly has his Willy's, and works on it as he feels, he's in his 80's; however, it's completely restored and drivable now, it's just those little "perks" he wants to still add.
Shout out to Officer Douglas McIntosh. He doesn't get enough credit as a silent servant on PC. I admire the way he conducts himself. I was never a fan of Officer Byrd on Judge Judy. He always seemed to be so grumpy/grouchy, even towards JJ. Perhaps it was an act for the show 🤷🏾♂️. Douglas just seemed to be much more pleasant, but yet firm when needed. Just my opinion.
Stainless can be chromed, but it would be inappropriate to do that if you're restoring a car. That should have been a conversation at the time of drop-off because maybe the guy wanted chrome instead of a proper restoration. Not communicating that bit me once, I accepted that I should have asked so I didn't charge.
I remember Justices Ginsberg and Scalia were being interviewed together and the person asked them if they ever wanted to bring an expert of their own into the case they were deciding. Both of them cut off the interviewer and said 'nope'. They were both adamant that expert witnesses were the job of the litigants, not the jurists or courts. If the subject matter isn't important enough for either of the litigants to expand on, then it isn't for the court either.
It can be, but depending on the shop they may choose to not ever chrome stainless steel because of the process in doing it differs slightly and they don't want to chance it. Some shops might err on just polishing it instead of chrome.
The Plaintiff saying the judge isn't an expert on chrome, obviously he could have saved himself some time by learning a bit about chrome himself. From Google What is chrome on a bumper? Chrome-plated bumpers start out as steel bumpers which are then electroplated with one or more layers of nickel. That's topped with a very thin layer of chromium. This withstands stone chips and weathers better than paint, but it's not flexible. The chrome goes over the dull nickel used at the time and only polished on the face. This leave the back side with a grey color like the back side of aluminum foil. The defendant was wrong about stainless steel Stainless Steel can be Chrome Plated, but if you are looking purely at making it brighter and more decorative then it may be better to simply polish it.
Plaintiff tryna sound like he know what he talkin about but he can't understand why he needs EVIDENCE to prove his case. Instead he's "an expert on his money" lol lost such an easy case all cause he got stones for brains
I'm not 100% sure what year this episode is from but $800 to chrome 2 bumpers and a lot of miscellaneous parts sounds really cheap. I had the rear bumper of my GTO rechromed in 2005 and it cost almost $400 by itself. And that was in the Midwest where prices are usually cheaper than most areas. As far as chroming stainless steel, it is the same as plating any other type of metal but polishing is far more common.
It's much harder to restore a classic car now as most of the reproduction parts are Chinese and very poor quality. Used to be they were all Japanese or Tawain made
The plaintiff was absolutely right about her not knowing anything about chrome. He came to the wrong judge as usual with black litigants looking for justice. Who advises these black litigants throughout the duration of this show or lack thereof.
All you see is color sir Adrian. Literally both men in this one were men of color in different ways. If he wanted an expert to get what he wanted in court, he should’ve brought one.
This is arbitration. Both litigants signed a contract to be shown on people's court for their case. Court is evidence based, not emotion or morality. You of all people should know that, Adrian! Damn jester!

And when I saw the plaintiff first walk in, I I got “leisure suit Larry” vibes😂😂

Exactly. Just googled if stainless can be plated and the answer is YES, but it's suggested that it's most likely better to polish it instead.

Defendant" I didn't know who was suing me until I got here"!😂
But if it's dipped how can the back not be dipped
He's claiming it was, it just looks like it wasn't, because it hasn't been polished yet
Should've got a full list of parts taken 🤦♀️
Defendant sounds Guyanese
The defendant has a Guyanese accent...
And he was slightly smiling when he was showing the parts not chromed. Right there i knew he was not possibly telling the truth.
"A lot of parts" on the paperwork and plaintiff didnt count the parts he left🙄....get lloyd and harry outta here
Thanks for serving chromed justice. Gotta dip.
Judge is not an expert on chrome but you didn’t bring ONE!🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😅😅
This. You have to have your own experts in court. 🤣 The judges aren’t trained to be experts in every field.
Right. It kills me when litigants think the judge is supposed to add up expenses or plead their case for them etc.
Proof is what I say it is,I was waiting for him to punch Douglas
I had a 1955 Harley-Davidson panhead and I had it all chromed out it cost me $100 back then
Judge is right. His evidence is slack. You're the weirdo that didn't inspect all the pieces when you went to pick it up.
It's called greed
He's a freaking lie Stainless steel can be chrome plated...
The plaintiff is illiterate. What's the point of coming to court with zero proof? What a foolish man. Lacks wisdom and common sense.

the defendant said all those pieces are aluminum, and they will rust.. aluminum doesn't rust it oxidizes.
That's a quibble. Rust is oxidation. But we only use the word for oxidization of iron. So, you are correct. But his meaning was clear.
judge is not an expert on chrome
Aluminum doesn't rust.....
IDK Why he didn't just get an expert testimony?
