Great video! My only concern was the claim that twisting the strands will prevent short circuits. However, the length of exposed wire is just as important. Using a proper gauge & removing just the right amount of cladding is just as important to ensuring both a secure connection & avoiding short circuits.
Hi, thanks for watching and we appreciate the feedback. I agree the amount of wire stripped is very important. We do cover that in detail in other wiring videos. It is hard to cover everything in all the videos so I'm sure many videos have additional content that could be added. Hopefully with the entire series we can cover everything and be a great source of education. Thanks again!!
You’d get shot for this in most EU counties. 1) Cables should use crimps or ferrules. 2) ELV (24v DC) etc and LV (120Vac) should be segregated and not mixed like they are here in trunking.
Thanks for your question. You don't have to put ferrules on the wire but it is best practice. You can also twist the wire before putting it in the terminal. It is important to make sure it doesn't birdcage where some wires don't enter inside the terminal. Ferrules are the surest way to ensure that the connection is complete but not required in most cases.

It all depends on the client. We put ferrules on many jobs and not on others. I agree that ferrules are the best practice but some clients want to save money and not use ferrules. Both ways work fine as long as the builder is careful but ferrules are the best way.
Finally some great content! Thanks :-)
Thank you very much sir
Very beneficial video .. Thanks
You are doing a great job.Keep it up. :)
Good job👍👍👍
But,Better to use core end lugs .
Thank you very much✌

this is obviously a US panel my guy..
Don't you ferrule your wire before sticking it into the block ?????

I think this is not safe !!!!
Adding ferrules to every connection adds to cost and most time if the job is done right it would be unnecessary.
Maintenance would be so much easier with ferrules
Yes, always use ferrules. They cost so little, and makes everything so much easier!
you need to put terminals on the wire.
Depends on the customer. We like using. Ferrules but many customers don’t want them.

What about lugs?
Write the important things in the video, which appear next to you when you explain.
use ferrules man

uhm, i thought it was tips and tricks. But it's just basic knowledge.
