Everything he's demonstrated in this video and previous videos I do at the company I work for and have done for years. I push these techniques heavily to guys that I sometimes mentor. I get some looks from these guys sometimes and even an occasional eye roll. But as this gentlemen demonstrates, these are the correct ways of doing it. I don't tin my wires but I always use crimp ferrules wherever practical for the reasons he's stated in the video. I can't tell you how many times I've looked in other control panels that I didn't wire and there are frayed wires all over the place at termination points, not enough insulation stripped off, too much exposed wire, etc etc. This is why you take a little extra time and effort and crimp ferrules on your wire ends. Use good quality tools and always use the right tool for the job. As he demonstrates, not every wire stripper tool is created equal. I have a few of the Klein strippers of various sizes like the first tool he used. I rarely use them because of the inconsistent results. They work good but you have to be careful with them as they can easily damage wire strands. The second stripper tool is an absolute must for panel wiring. Repeatable results every time and makes quick work of wire stripping when you have hundreds of wires to terminate. I don't have that last tool he demonstrated but I'm going to get one now.
I have to use the Klein strippers. All my parts in cabinet are different and requires stripping different lengths. Thank you for the great information.
Thank you RSP Supply, very good educational videos. I'm beginner, so it is helpful. A few notes: The demonstration is very important, the best tech videos always shows the work, not only talking aboute it. The narrators speech is very good, well understandable for not native language viewers. It would be great, to make soma really projet, an industrial control panel for a real work, and shows step by step. It would be very interesting and didactic. Unfortunately RSP is very far for me, so cannot order any product. In Europe we also use some different standards. For exaple we use different cable coloring: L is mostly black or brown, N is offen blue. GND is always green AND yellow.

first tool - in my 15yrs career used it once, I pushed to ban it in engineering workshops across the company. Several times I simply cut those with angle grinder... It is better to use stanley knife than this crap...
