    One thing I would like you to do with your series is as with every technique it has its strengths and weaknesses. Having a wide base and angled helps against drop steps and aggressive back downs. What does it make you more susceptible to. Pump fakes, late close out on fadeaways? Great series by the way.

      You nailed it, makes you more susceptible to fade-away and Hakeem Post Spin (where he uses his baseline foot as his pivot, inversing the drop step foot work)

    Best advice I've seen on defending the bump. Will apply this for drive and bump situations!

    Does anyone have any extra tips for really small players. I’m only 5 ft 3 and I’m trying to make JV without being a defensive liability

      You have to be able to pick up the other point guard full court

      Thanks for the help - also do you think the forward stance or upward stance is better for an undersized guard?

    • @LockdownDefense
      @LockdownDefense  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Definitely forward, if you contain the ball with upward stance you won’t make an impact on the ball in terms of impacting vision and comfort

      Use the upward stance if you can pressure and just contain and contest pullups

    How effective would be putting an arm bar or blocking one of his arms. Since posting up is typically a 2 handed play they won’t be able to finish and would be forced to spin around and take a jumper which you would be expecting so you would be ready for that.

      I would only be worried about how steep that angle would need to be to take away the arm. Could open up a clear leg-whip for a drop step
