This is so good! So confirming what the holy spirit has shown me in scripture. I love the wisdom God has given John Bevere. I've read several of his books. Focusing on ourselves leads to depression and anxiety. When we serve others we are filled with Joy because we are doing what God designed us for. We aren't here for ourselves. We are here to plant seeds in others that grow - that's how we multiply. We aren't here to become a better version of ourselves. That is a big lie. We are to die to ourselves daily. We are to be born again by believing in Jesus as the only truth and only way to God and only way of life. All other ways lead to death, physically, spiritually and eternally.
Any Area on your Life that you Fear is that you own not surrender

I can’t help but to thank God that I am listening to this. I believe my words yesterday disconnected me from purpose. The fear of God came upon me in my sleep, I thought it was the devil. I woke to my morning time saying I need to know what that is. I sang a bit Holy Spirit you are welcome here…I was led to John talking about The Holy Spirit from 7 years ago. 7 years ago I was in the Napa earthquake where I heard a voice say it’s ok Lynda it’s just an earthquake you’re going to be ok. I was going to a church where I mentioned Holy Spirit and was met with just follow the outline. I left that church and was led to a woman in another church who spoke to my spirit. She was eventually kicked out of that church. I feel God is saying it’s time Lynda! Wake up! I am commenting to ask for prayer and to just thank John for never giving up!

I honestly don't believe that I have any gifts...... I'm not good at anything.... And I don't have a purpose or vision... Give me a vision then maybe I will be able to understand where I am supposed to go in life...

So does this mean if you don't sing gospel music as a Christian musician for example, you're not stewarding your gift correctly. 🤔
Great question! Thanks for asking! Not at all. The point is, everything we do should be done as unto the Lord, keeping in mind our stewardship of this short life. The point isn't to simply make "Christian music," but instead, live as a modern-day Joseph, Daniel, or Esther, maximizing our craft with excellence, and stewarding it to its fullest potential. It's more about living a focused life before the King in any sphere in which we find ourselves.
Great question indeed! I think over the past few decades we have somehow turned worship music into just the congregational music we sing at church. But when you look at the Psalms, the music covers every aspect of life. That’s because worship is everything we do and not just the declaration of God’s attributes through music.
Like brother Bevere said, it should come from an intimate relationship with our God.
The gospel is about the price Jesus paid to bring us abundant life, so live that life with gratitude to him and make music based on that.
What do you do when no one wants your gifts and you are in a situation where you don’t have opportunity to use them where you are. You have no way of moving and you’re literally backed into a corner.

@Bella77260. It's such a blessing that you have identified your gift, many are still struggling with that. Now that you have recognized others are resisting it, take a step back and ask God for guidance ( let it go and trust it in his hands, when it's the right time he will give back to you...then you will be fruitful) while waiting draw closer to God and let not your heart be troubled. 🙏

Perhaps there's the need to consider how the Hebrew mind views life........there's no divide between secular n religious life........all of life has to be submitted......(see how he says...bless the LORD o my soul..n all that s within me bless his holy name
