Sure. I tend to check out people's channels if they're active on the channel, or seem like they may be interesting. However, I'm very picky on what I subscribe to, and I just don't watch every kind of video just because someone asked me to. Same goes for shout-outs, I cannot fairly shout-out somebody for no reason other than they asked, it would be unfair to anyone else who were to ask and I would be unable to do so. A shoutout from me will not gain you much viewership or subscribers.

86 Ironhide *does* have internal weapon storage (sorta), there's tabs on the underside of the van mode that can allow the weapons to act as exhaust pipes.
I feel like the DK-2 Guard version of the Earthrise mold works a lot better. The vehicle mode feels less messy when everything is black instead of having a bunch of mismatched reds and random black bits.

It’s funny because before Siege …there was no great reinterpretation of G1 Ironhide. Now we have had 3 in less than 5 years. The Studio series version is brilliant.

It's true that color matching is hard but when it comes to red, they've already done it before with Siege Sideswipe and Earthrise Cliffjumper.
My favorite part about ER Ironhide is the shield can half transform into the base and you can get a diaclone mode out of the bot to have a toy and show accurate Ironhide in one.
You should do an old VS new on the SS bayverse Ironhide and the first Bayverse prime
The paper weight is clearly worth the Voyager price point
'86 Ironhide honestly makes me almost glad I missed out on the Earthrise version. Not a perfect figure by any means but I'm more than happy to have him in my collection.

Ok- look- people are upset that SS86 Ironhide is a voyager at deluxe size... But here's the thing, the parts count is far higher than the old earthrise figure. More parts=higher cost. Additionally, the siege figure, because of those parts, is HEAVIER.
I do agree that MAYBE it could've came with some blast effects for the blasters or some other accessories and such, but other than this, I have NO PROBLEMS with this figure.
I wouldn't say the parts count is FAR higher... maybe a slight bit higher. And they're also about the same weight, as I showed in the video. Soooo... I dunno. I'm not convinced it was WORTH IT, but I was sold on it nonetheless. lol

Yeah he's less hollow for sure, it uses the bulk of the car much wiser than just putting it on a big shield on his back! lol
I hate to say it but if you can admit it to be more than a deluxe, it's a voyager....there isn't an in between price point. I like this ironhide and I'm looking forward to the Ratchet repaint, stupid Amazon canceled my order on the ER ratchet.....it was a stupid time!

Well the original iron hide was actually a really good diaclone figure being a troop transport and a mech with the ability to see a pilot, essential a mini battle convoy
But eh it shows how the approach of just rebranding other toys can be dumb
It's not really dumb, they probably had a reason for not having pilots in their Transformers line. Remember, child safety was and is still a thing so small figures like that can be big issues.
@@aweirdredtoad3637 well I need to disagree like lego gets away with with a lot of similarly sized or smaller figures. Almost all blind bag minifigure I have seen are pretty similar to that in size
Not to mention that there still are, a billion diaclone pilot sized accessories in other toy lines.
@N ex There's no similarity between Lego and Diaclone figures. They are different sizes, one is primarily made to fit Lego pieces and the other made to fit inside vehicles or cockpits.
Edit: And Lego doesn't "get away" with their sizes of their mini figures, they are made to fit the blocks and such. There's an age range for the sets with small figures.
@@aweirdredtoad3637 also even if my previous reasons are all totally invalid, it still doesn't change that taking a toy from one toyline renaming it and saying that is totally something it wasn't designed to be, you will end up with some stupid designs
@@aweirdredtoad3637 lego mini figures are 4cm in height diaclone pilots a little under 3cm, lego didn't have duplo figures at the time, and was aimed at a slightly broughter demographic, it is something different yes but not incomparable

Hey J4 the piece on the right leg of the studio series one on mine is really stiff and I’m starting to get some stress marks on it since I started transforming him yesterday when I got him
They should've gone back classifying figures by size, and then use another categorization for heavier parts count/engineering on the same scale, just like Bandai with their Master Grade and Master Grade EX. They're both 1/100, but one is more extra than the other.
Example :
Voyager and Voyager EX, Deluxe and Deluxe EX, etc.
That way, we can differentiate the increase between scale, engineering and parts count.
The way Hasbro did it really makes people left infuriated. By classifying a figure in one scale category but having "extra stuffs" (parts count, accessories, engineering, etc), above the usual class on the same scale (ex. having a Deluxe figure categorized as a Voyager just because of the extra engineering, etc), just makes people heavily disinterested in that particular figure.
Having something like Voyager EX Class, you should've at least expected the scale to be the same as Voyager, but you can also expect it to have "extra stuffs", like engineering, accessories, parts count, etc.

Combiner Wars Ironhide wasn't too shabby...better reuse of the Off-road mold than the likes of Trailbreaker...yesss. (I personally missed that one, simply because when the Optimus Maximus wave was in stores, I only saw Ironhide & Sunstreaker once each and never again.)
Yeah, these classes stopped being about size back when Studio Series first came out; annoyingly, scale also went down the toilet when you consider that SS15 2007 Ironhide is entirely too large.
I wouldn't say that the vehicle mode on SS86-17 Ironhide is too much better; you have to consider that there are some unsightly hinges on both sides of the van exterior. For a Voyager, they absosmurfinlutely should've engineered THAT better so those hinges aren't visible. SS102 RotB Optimus Prime has the exact same problem, too.
You're right about this being the definimative mainline Ironhide (...for now), though. Ditto that for Ratchet, even though Siege Ratchet somewhat dogwalks Earthrise Ratchet & SS86-23 Ratchet in accessories.

Studio Series 86 Ratchet is a core class.
For now. Likely they'll make a Core Class Ironhide and a Voyager Ratchet some time down the road.
Do you *really* think Hasbro would make a brand new Ironhide mold and *not* repaint/retool it into Ratchet?
Or the other way around for the Core Class mold.
There is more vehicle mode weapon storage between the rear wheels
Deluxe class/ Voyager class ----- simple answer , CASH GRAB by the company. Plain and simple. The ER one being hard and expensive to obtain, people were ready to throw cash just to have the character figure coz compared to the aftermatket price of ER, SS is still cheaper option and readily available.
