You presented all your points very well. Many of which were eye opening. I have full faith we will get Chloe is some great capacity. I would love to see 30yr Chloe. Seeing how Max's personality has become more loose and free, I wonder how Chloe has changed. I think a lot of fans would be shocked if she morphed into this kinda mellow, straight and narrow person. Similar to Kate but not religious. I can also see an adult Chloe joining maybe the military or some kind of service where she can help others which could explain her absence feeling. In her story this may help her connect more with David if he's around this game. Something I remember from the dev stream was the mention of big twist so it honestly can go anyway at this point! Can't wait for this drop!

Hello :) My personal theory is that Max and Chloe DID part ways before the start of DE … but determined on your choices, they can reconcile their relationship and get back together again. This would explain Chloe’s absence, the existence of new romance options and even some of Max’s dialogue options (although I’m 100% convinced that all the dialogue we’ve seen so far, especially the one with Safi and maybe even the one with Moses, is only in the Bay route). So, I’m pretty confident that Baers will see her again. :) I really love your “long distance” theory, with Chloe giving Max a chance to fulfill her dream. I also love that you mentioned the different demographics for the game; as someone who is going to play the Bay route first and the Bae route second (absolutely love Chloe, but love Arcadia Bay and its narrative slightly more), I’m already super excited to play the latter! Hell, I’m not even sure if I’m going to romance anyone despite starting with the Bay route, considering it’s going to be very hard for new characters to top Chloe XD Thank you for this video, and I really hope we can say “YOU CALLED IT!” in a few months :)

Best case senerio would be if they had a dialogue option in-game that subtly helped you say what ending you chose, and the story would have completely different effects depending on what you choose Though it might be a bit too ambitious, and that's probably not what's going to happen, I'm still so hyped! I'm pretty sure Chloe will be in the game. Not as a huge focus of the game, but she'll probably pop up for many players at the very end of Chapter 2. I think she might take Max to Away where she'll see Daniel too, who can help with stopping the asteroid impact. But people think I'm crazy with my Asteroid Theory. 😂 Even if asteroid theory fails, yeah, Chloe will likely show up in some way, at least for players who didn't sacrifice her.

One of them is that actually Arcadia Bay itself was dying even before Max got her rewind (unemployment, the Prescots' erosion of the area and the fisherman already had flyers on how there was no more fish in the Bay). So I always joked, if the Fates are that whimsical: what if letting the Bay getting obliterated was meant as the "price" to stop an asteroid to hit the Earth later? And there you have it! xD xD

From the plain trailer, the unspectacular gameplay, the shallow answers in the live stream and the history of the company. The phrases "New players need not worry though, because Life is Strange: Double Exposure is a fully standalone experience that requires no knowledge of prior games to enjoy. " and "Welcoming in new players from the very beginning, while giving fans the story they didn’t know they wanted." say it all, and gives me such contempt. They don't have even the courage to stand by their own popular franchise. As for "respecting" fans' choices in LiS 1: merely acknowledging or giving a nod (pun intended) to the LiS1's endings, would be neither the "respect" nor the "honor" those endings deserve. - We can see see it in the trailer: "New powers! Whatever: we have a mystery to solve!" while we deeply know that both the Maxes that made it out of LiS 1 would have PTSD and tons of doubts in front of the extremely high stakes that the resurgence of new powers would entail. And no, that's not boring: conflict is what makes a story - not "powers, yo!" and LiS has always been a story more than a video game. - This conflict should be big part of the story, but it can't - otherwise what will the delicate new players do for the first part of the game? "Giving fans the story they didn’t know they wanted" - The fans will pay 30$/€ for the ultimate edition (that gives access to the first two episodes 2 wees before official release) for fear of unavoidable spoilers and then they'll be pot-committed to eat the rest of the story they didn't ask for. That's where fans are relevant. If Chloe were in the story they'd put her in trailer because that's would have made more pre-sales and sales.
