Hint's of David's repeated physical abuse are also found in his own phrasing: "You just keep pushing me" implies repetition.

The idea that David has repeatedly hit Chloe before, is very speculative at most. Chloe's and David's comments are very ambiguous. So we can't really make that conclusion based on those comments alone. Also, there are several other factors suggesting that David has not done it before. I could go into relatively great detail here. But I want to keep my comment short. However, one example is Joyce. Since Joyce doesn’t even accept David talking too harshly, there is no way that she would be okay with David repeatedly hitting Chloe.

But now it is very clear that he is breaking the fourth wall when he says that. He is actually asking the player if his previous comment made it too obvious that he is the bad guy.
The US flag Chole is using as a curtain is hanging upside down. According to the flag code, the blue field with the stars is supposed to hang at the upper left, regardless of if the flag is horizontal or vertical. She has it hanging with the stars on the lower right, exactly opposite. She might be doing it out of rebellion or to piss off David, the ex-soldier, who would know how to handle the flag correctly. However, when a ship flies its flag upside down it is an international symbol that the ship is in distress and in need of aid (not unlike Chloe.)
A note to 0:57 - In episode 5, Jefferson also tells Max that if she listened more, “[she] could’ve seen it coming”. Just found this out in my recent replay a couple days ago
I think, many people noticed that before, but in the junkyard, near where Rachel was found, you can find a red/black flannel shirt. It looks very similar to Rachel's. I only noticed it the second time I played.

Oh WOW! Not only did I intervene every time to stop David from harassing Kate, but every playthrough I've seen either did as well, or took the photo but made different decisions as to David entering Chloe's room, because this is the first time I ever heard those scenarios where Chloe mentions having 'surveillance proof' about David's confrontation with Kate. Hello :) I’m pleasantly surprised that there were some details I didn’t know about! I’m especially impressed with Chloe’s and Max’s locker, Kate’s angel room number and Victoria possessing a signed photograph from Jefferson! Makes me wonder just how many more details and meanings are hidden in the game … I can’t believe Kate’s drawing got removed in the remaster :-( You mentioning the license plates makes me wonder if Double Exposure will continue with that tradition, since Life is Strange 2 and True Colors didn’t. I really like these small Easter Eggs, which is why I hope to see them again :) I think the only thing I personally missed in this list is the Blue Jay, considering its connection to Chloe, but other than that, I’m very satisfied with the chosen Easter Eggs :)
It's so cool to see how even after almost a decade, people are still discovering new things in these games! There are hundreds of carefully placed details in Life is Strange and I love seeing the inspirations behind them! As for the license plates, there were license plate references in Before the Storm, so it could be a nice throwback. The small, intricate details are the best. Yes! There were so many theories surrounding the blue jay! Thank you!
I never noticed that ALL of those license plates were references. 😅 Kinda seems unbelievable in-universe, but Don't Nod love their references. Captain Spirit had so much foreshadowing for LiS2 that it's also unbelievable Chris would've done so many things that resemble what later happens to Sean and Daniel, unless he secretly has the power of clairvoyance.
The only thing I don't fully understand in LiS. At least the first one, is how it was predicted as coming before her powers, and there's no real telling that because you used or over used the powers the storm hits. But then the town is fine in one of the endings anyway, no storm. But no real reason why.
I believe that the storm is a perfect example of chaos theory. More specifically, the butterfly effect. A small butterfly flapping its wings could, hypothetically, cause a tornado. By saving Chloe and therefore making a change to what was already determined, the storm occurred. Although Max did get a vision of the tornado before she got her powers, you could theorize that it was a vision of what was to come due to the change she made or even Max peering through one of the many timelines she created. Chloe being connected to the butterfly makes this all the more interesting!
Honestly I think they hint at a few things but none of them actually make sense if you really think them through. Either that's plot holes (which honestly, no game is perfect) or they keep it unclear on purpose

In high school, I started reading Damasio's books (and Stéphane Beauverger, who I believe also worked on writing for Don't Nod at some point?), and played LiS communally over Twitch when my best friends and I ended up all over France for our first year of college. Today, I just finished playing it on my own. I'd never seen the wind signs! I'm getting two blasts from the past... And I thought I was crazy for hearing bits of conversations that hadn't played yet when using Max's powers... Thanks for this, I'm off to watch your videos on your other episodes now :D
Also now that I think about it (spoilers for La Horde lmao) it's particularly fitting that they chose to implement something from that book in particular (over La Zone du dehors) as an Easter egg, since it's the one in which most of the protagonists sacrifice themselves on the altar of their common quest, which ends up being a sort of loop. Sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending, iykyk.

Basically it’s a perfect description of Nathan’s photography: dark, death-centered, but still deeply philosophical. Plus, ‘Six Feet Under’ may refer to Rachel’s grave. I’ve just realised it now 🤯

I'm a bit too lazy to go through all the other comments, but: secret dialogue is also featured during Max's nightmare in Polarized, specifically when she walks through the Blackwell halls. It is only discernible when Max rewinds. There are 9 different segments of dialogue. One of them is Samuel saying, "poor girl, nobody should vanish like that." There's also a series of lines between Daniel and Logan centering around Logan demanding money from Daniel.
Idk if this was mentioned, but when walking the halls of blackwell, when max is listening to music you can look at posters and one says something along the linesof "i lost my tablet with all my dead cat photos on it please return " and at the end of the game when u are walking thru looking for the whale diner you can find a note on the ground that says "sorry for taking ur tablet i just saw cute cat photos and i really like cats i don't have any so i was jealous.
It was foreshadowing future events, and I picked up on it right away, and it was clear max could possibly be his next target, , because he looked directly at max when he said it, most definitely sus
One thing i noticed,max in the classroom is central with victoria to the left of her. When jefferson kidnaps max she is central again and when victoria is knocked out she is on the left of max again
I have played LiS about 10 times but i still missed some of the secrets that you mentioned, great video! Btw, i want to share one, that i indeed believe to be, a secret. In the very last scene of the game, if you save Chloe, you see them driving out of Arcadia Bay. In one of the last images you can see a small upside down blue car that has been destryed by the storm, and a corpse covered by a red towel. I believe it to be Warren, since the car is basically the exact same model. Then when that scene appears, the car and the body have the focus of the scene for a couple of seconds, as like the developers wanted us to see that. This is not confirmed but i truly believe that to be true. Then Warren was one of the most important characters...
I honestly loved the game especially in the last chapter when max goes through multiple realities to fix things and then has her nightmares only to make the ultimate sacrifice in the end ❤
Not only the clock go backwards when rewinding but also the clouds and the birds in the sky - at least in the original, don't know if it is still the case in the remaster.
The locked dorm room door- It's always funny when a developer's "European-ness" gives itself away in tiny details like this. It happens in LiS2 as well, but one that really amuses me is in another game, Beyond Two Souls. At one point, Jodie says "I'm gonna go outside. I'm desperate for a pee." Americans don't talk this way, lol. Tell me Quantic Dream is French without telling me Quantic Dream is French. Anyway, this was cool! The reverse audio one are the types I really like. Didn't know that. (and omg what a voice you have!)
i never noticed that Daria quote in Chloe's room but honestly I am not at all surprised shes a Daria fan. I am a huge Daria fan myself and hloe is the character I relate to the most in games

The blue butterfly only shows up 2 times, right before the big moment where Chloe gets shot and max gets her rewind powers to save Chloe and at Chloe's funeral landing on her coffin, it's also the same shade of blue as her hair, the butterfly is definitely Chloes spirit
Chloe getting smacked is a big reason as to why i can't understand Chloe hate from fans and critic. she lost her dad at a formative time in her life, Max and her family moves the same week which wasn't max's fault just a crazy one two combo, Rachel lied to her about frank and eventually vanished out of nowhere, and had Stepfather who was legitimately a dick to her. I know they try to change his character in BTS but honestly that felt like a retcon to gain sympathy which i didn't because the hitting, surveillance around the house, baseless accusations against Kate, STILL HAPPENS. the one good thing he did was save Max, and kill Jefferson base on your choices
Wow, I was surprised to learn about a lot of details I haven't heard before. Favorite one was about the blue butterfly legend of it granting a wish, which I interpret as leading to unconsciously Max triggering the wish by wishing to prevent the shooting - maybe more specifically by a desire to have another chance where she would act instead of passively hiding in the corner during Nate and Chloes confrontation.
Someone had also posted a video somewhere that in the Beta version of Life is Strange David physically pushes Max against the closet door and pins her there instead of her running into it and him pointing at her aggressively. Was kind of sad 😕
I honestly love this game so much, i still buy the game on every platform, i always buy the original version too whem possible too i prefer it soo much nore than the remaster, the original keeps its character and charm

another detail is so blink and you miss it's crazy. And i think this is proof that LiS2 was wrong with saying that only, David, Max, Chloe, and Victoria were the only ones who confirmed to survive the storm. So right before Max leaves the bunker after David beats/kills Jefferson base on your choices, Max will grab her phone with the time reading 12:17pm. Which means that the Storm had became active somewhere in the time Max wakes up which was the morning which means that the Football Game didn't happen since that was slated to happen at 7pm. The storm being more vicious causing Fire and smoke to pollute the air making you think it's nighttime. anyways, you might be asking why Warren and Alissa were in the town, well given how Max leaves in the middle of the day to hang with chloe and even stays the night one time, i assume that Warren and Alissa were both in their lunch period when the storm had activated. So why do I think more ppl survived? well, basically because of Blackwell Building and Dorms and the Hospital being brick build building and those are typically more secured in times like that. which means to me, if i didn't see any studen in the town by chapter 5 that means they are most likely alive since a student would be in the dorm, or class, or in Kate's case, in the hospital. that's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it
Life is strange has helped me through alot of hard times with max and chloes friendship thing thats weird as hell is after life is strange came out i ended up becoming similar to chloe in the way of i realized i was pretty punk rock i lost a father figure in 2013 when the game takes place i dealt with alot of fake friends even someone i saw as a brother slight difference with rachel being a fake i just wasnt gay for him my best friend/sister is a big tomboy like max just shes straight slight differences but still weirdly similar so yeah game holds a close feeling to my heart and i really hope chloe can get her happily ever after in the next game like how i see it is the storm was caused by rachels selfishness and anger her power being unleashed after she dies since she appears to max as a doe only way to save the bay is to give rachel what she would of wanted revenge and chloe and rachel seems to be why max got her power truly screw the fake that is rachel chloe needs her happily ever after decknine better let us give chloe that happily ever after in double exposure. also other funny thing is the makers that made life is strange like the dev not the publisher is french and due to their rebel spirit i respect the french people alot as for the pyramid and all seeing eye feels evil and ever since i could remember i knew of the evil going on just not the extent of it till the truth really came out with how the pedos started to get exposed then i called that the big players like the president and streamers was bad i had a bad feeling with dr disrespect and i was right stuff is really strange my life is truly strange. i loved LiS from the start, saw the first trailer (on my xbox 360?? i think) and immediately knew i wanted to get it. I even still have the CD and the art book from the original collector's edition on xbox one :3

Basically it’s a perfect description of Nathan’s photography: dark, death-centered, but still deeply philosophical. Plus, ‘Six Feet Under’ may refer to Rachel’s grave. I’ve just realised it now 🤯

I'm a bit too lazy to go through all the other comments, but: secret dialogue is also featured during Max's nightmare in Polarized, specifically when she walks through the Blackwell halls. It is only discernible when Max rewinds. There are 9 different segments of dialogue. One of them is Samuel saying, "poor girl, nobody should vanish like that."
There's also a series of lines between Daniel and Logan centering around Logan demanding money from Daniel.

Idk if this was mentioned, but when walking the halls of blackwell, when max is listening to music you can look at posters and one says something along the linesof "i lost my tablet with all my dead cat photos on it please return " and at the end of the game when u are walking thru looking for the whale diner you can find a note on the ground that says "sorry for taking ur tablet i just saw cute cat photos and i really like cats i don't have any so i was jealous.

I have played LiS about 10 times but i still missed some of the secrets that you mentioned, great video! Btw, i want to share one, that i indeed believe to be, a secret. In the very last scene of the game, if you save Chloe, you see them driving out of Arcadia Bay. In one of the last images you can see a small upside down blue car that has been destryed by the storm, and a corpse covered by a red towel. I believe it to be Warren, since the car is basically the exact same model. Then when that scene appears, the car and the body have the focus of the scene for a couple of seconds, as like the developers wanted us to see that. This is not confirmed but i truly believe that to be true. Then Warren was one of the most important characters...
I honestly loved the game especially in the last chapter when max goes through multiple realities to fix things and then has her nightmares only to make the ultimate sacrifice in the end ❤

It happens in LiS2 as well, but one that really amuses me is in another game, Beyond Two Souls. At one point, Jodie says "I'm gonna go outside. I'm desperate for a pee." Americans don't talk this way, lol. Tell me Quantic Dream is French without telling me Quantic Dream is French.
Anyway, this was cool! The reverse audio one are the types I really like. Didn't know that. (and omg what a voice you have!)

I disagree with you about the butterfly being Chloes spirit. Chloe was the raven. Rachel was the doe. Max is the butterfly.
Max is a doe, you can hear that literally in the game, when she talks with Samuel. He say his spirit animal is a squrrl, and that Max's is a doe,
The blue butterfly only shows up 2 times, right before the big moment where Chloe gets shot and max gets her rewind powers to save Chloe and at Chloe's funeral landing on her coffin, it's also the same shade of blue as her hair, the butterfly is definitely Chloes spirit

Chloe getting smacked is a big reason as to why i can't understand Chloe hate from fans and critic. she lost her dad at a formative time in her life, Max and her family moves the same week which wasn't max's fault just a crazy one two combo, Rachel lied to her about frank and eventually vanished out of nowhere, and had Stepfather who was legitimately a dick to her. I know they try to change his character in BTS but honestly that felt like a retcon to gain sympathy which i didn't because the hitting, surveillance around the house, baseless accusations against Kate, STILL HAPPENS. the one good thing he did was save Max, and kill Jefferson base on your choices

Wow, I was surprised to learn about a lot of details I haven't heard before. Favorite one was about the blue butterfly legend of it granting a wish, which I interpret as leading to unconsciously Max triggering the wish by wishing to prevent the shooting - maybe more specifically by a desire to have another chance where she would act instead of passively hiding in the corner during Nate and Chloes confrontation.
My exact interpretation as well! Another chance with Chloe. A second chance to make things right, to be there when she needed her most.

Someone had also posted a video somewhere that in the Beta version of Life is Strange David physically pushes Max against the closet door and pins her there instead of her running into it and him pointing at her aggressively. Was kind of sad 😕

another detail is so blink and you miss it's crazy. And i think this is proof that LiS2 was wrong with saying that only, David, Max, Chloe, and Victoria were the only ones who confirmed to survive the storm. So right before Max leaves the bunker after David beats/kills Jefferson base on your choices, Max will grab her phone with the time reading 12:17pm. Which means that the Storm had became active somewhere in the time Max wakes up which was the morning which means that the Football Game didn't happen since that was slated to happen at 7pm. The storm being more vicious causing Fire and smoke to pollute the air making you think it's nighttime. anyways, you might be asking why Warren and Alissa were in the town, well given how Max leaves in the middle of the day to hang with chloe and even stays the night one time, i assume that Warren and Alissa were both in their lunch period when the storm had activated. So why do I think more ppl survived? well, basically because of Blackwell Building and Dorms and the Hospital being brick build building and those are typically more secured in times like that. which means to me, if i didn't see any studen in the town by chapter 5 that means they are most likely alive since a student would be in the dorm, or class, or in Kate's case, in the hospital. that's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it
Why was the drawing removed in the remaster?
Life is strange has helped me through alot of hard times with max and chloes friendship thing thats weird as hell is after life is strange came out i ended up becoming similar to chloe in the way of i realized i was pretty punk rock i lost a father figure in 2013 when the game takes place i dealt with alot of fake friends even someone i saw as a brother slight difference with rachel being a fake i just wasnt gay for him my best friend/sister is a big tomboy like max just shes straight slight differences but still weirdly similar so yeah game holds a close feeling to my heart and i really hope chloe can get her happily ever after in the next game like how i see it is the storm was caused by rachels selfishness and anger her power being unleashed after she dies since she appears to max as a doe only way to save the bay is to give rachel what she would of wanted revenge and chloe and rachel seems to be why max got her power truly screw the fake that is rachel chloe needs her happily ever after decknine better let us give chloe that happily ever after in double exposure. also other funny thing is the makers that made life is strange like the dev not the publisher is french and due to their rebel spirit i respect the french people alot as for the pyramid and all seeing eye feels evil and ever since i could remember i knew of the evil going on just not the extent of it till the truth really came out with how the pedos started to get exposed then i called that the big players like the president and streamers was bad i had a bad feeling with dr disrespect and i was right stuff is really strange my life is truly strange. Also if you notice chloe pushed nathan back and got shot like that aint what you do max noticed and when chloe pulls the gun in chloes room you see max push it to the side the correct way did she learn from watching chloe die? or does she just have common sense!!!
