I’ve been wanting to get the 1989 Batwing from Jazzinc but I keep seeing videos of people getting different products from them with to many imperfections or problems. The BvS Batmobile had issues with broken axels and bending over time, the Millennium Falcon cockpit having paint issues, as well as the 1966 Batmobile paint. This things makes me raise to many questions for the Batwing like will it arrive with paint issues? And if not will the figure hold up over time? I don’t know I think I’m gonna pass. To high of price with to much uncertainty. I know this is a small family business but the price demands good quality and better QC.
Luckily, I don't have any blemishes or imperfections on my 1966 Batmobile that I'm aware of. The entire paint job and stripes look smooth and straight. It's very possible that your Batmobile could've been a B-Stock, and it somehow got mixed up with an A-Stock model...
Unnaceptable for it to arrive in this condition. I completely understand your concerns. These aren't small imperfections you pointed out - but some of them are rather quite big. For the price you paid it's normal you expect QC and just, honestly, (near) perfection. I'm happy to hear Joost did right by you, and it's still a pretty beautiful looking piece for the collection. Thanks for the in depth review and honest opinions, Fab!!
Looks like "orange peel" which is typically caused by OVER spray. Shouldn't have to...but it can be easily fixed. A little sand and buffinging. QC should have caught that. Hate to see it. 😞 and I'm on the waitlist. Regardless, Handsome piece congratulations.
That's exactly what he said...over paint...he offered me a refund or partial refund...I took the refund to avoid having to deal with reboxing it and shipping it back ..hes always great!
Don't think Hot Toys would have responded the way Jazzinc did...and not only that, b ut to get an option of a partial refund or a replacement is top quality customer service you wont get elsewhere, or perhaps may even be pushed back to the retailer or country distributor if it were Hot Toys.
Sideshows customer service is number 1. That's who would've taken care of it, not hot toys. And they would've offered me a full refund, an exchange or return as they always do. My issue isn't having to take care of it bc he offered to do so. My issue is that it should've NEVER left the warehouse looking like that. 👊🏼
Hello!! Thank you for sharing!!! This looks awesome despite the blemishes! Also Do you live in the United States? Did you have to pay import tax? Also was shipping expensive? Anyway thanks for a great review!
That's truly disappointing! I would have expected a better finish. The sponge like texture, is due to overheating during the baking process. Time and temperature play a massive role in getting a smooth finish.
@@FabsFigures $150 is a decent apology. Quality control, got away from them on this one. They're doing great things for sixth scale collectors, by producing items that other companies won't touch. However...we expect these things to be almost perfect! Especially for the price. Keeping in mind, there's no such thing as the perfect figure or accessory.
Fab's great video. It looks like a great piece but, shame on them for letting product go out with these blemishes. For the money you spent you should definitely have them resend you a new one. it reminds me of when the 1989 batmobile came out . Alot of people had gotten their products with scratchs and nicks. Anyway once again great video and thanks for doing this for our community !!
Thank you my friend...he offered me a replacement but in January so I just took a partial refund, he really wanted me to be happy but I waited so long for this thing I didn't wanna wait even longer for another one
Yea it sucks but he gave me my partial refund and that's it...never getting anything from them again and moving on. That's what happens when you try to support "small business" 😅
@@FabsFigures I love their "open-door" transparent approach and updates. The fact that we can message them and actually expect a response is a plus in my books. A company like Hot Toys, not really that much. It really was a no-brainer to pick this 1966 Batmobile up from JazzInc. Who else was doing this and with the consultants and experts involved. I doubt HT would have. I could be wrong of course. And I love their Bat-Signal. This was an impromptu purchase only because it has the 1966 Bat Signal included and I already have the 1966 Batman & Robin figures and Batmobile, lol. So I figured, what the heck 😂. I do have the 2022 Batmobile on order as well as the Signature Limited Edition BvS on tap for next year. Looking forward to these two.
@Jedi CRI yea all that is fine but it doesn't make it ok to give us stuff like this as a final product especially now that it's licensed. I own their BVS Batmobile deluxe and the vulture figure they made...those 2 products are great...even the tires on those vehicles went flat which SUUUUCKS...didn't happen to me thank god! (Yet at least...hope it never does) but nothing justifies paying those prices for items that are gonna go to crap or even be made crappy, granted he did offer me a replacement but that should've never left his warehouse looking that way, it's very disappointing.
@@FabsFigures yup I agree. Not all are done in-house and are sub-contracted. I think if all were done in-house, quality control would definitely be much tighter but that's another subject matter.
@Jedi CRI lol yea but even that is no excuse bc as a company you're always responsible for your product no matter where its done but it is what it is at this point...can only hope they get better in the future for other customers
I appreciate that you shared this with us and it's a good discussion between the 1/6 collector community overall. I'm sorry you're disappointed.
