Hard to believe they get that sonic wall with that much melody from essentially three musicians. I'm trying to think of three piece bands that produced such a harmonic and congruous wall of sound. Rush, Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Cream come to mind. Chris Wolstenholme's bass lines are killer.
wow, an unboxing ! like I said, I think it's much more fun to go hunt for canadian food and souvenirs, pack them and send them to you, so you can enjoy our goodies. More fun than clicking on some buttons to send virtual money! Thanks for the Muse music, I haven't heard that band for a while ! and by the way I haven't touch a vinyl record with my bare hands for ages, can't remember how it feels...
I bought this a couple of weeks ago as I found the CD totally brickwalled/ compressed and as I have also been disappointed with the vinyls,but not this one , it sounds great! Btw a great band that I have seen 6 times .
I don’t know about you Jim but I have been disappointed with the last 2 albums tbh, especially after the brilliant Drones, I found Simulation Theory very Mediocre and Will of the People to be pretty Moribund !
I love LP’s because of the cover. Nice and big. But for music, I stick to digital. Everything I have is in my cloud; so much easier and I don’t have to stand up and change the lp. I know a few songs by Muse but they weren’t played that much on radio here in the Netherlands. I might disappoint you but the singer’s voice gives me problems. Same problems as with Peter Hamill and the singer of Tool. They make me feel uncomfortable. Probably has to do with me being highly sensitive. Oh well, enough other music to choose from.
To be fair, I can listen to music everywhere because a) I have a large digital collection, b) Spotify mops up everything else that I don't own digitally. I have a lot of CDs that are ripped to hard drive. But still, for me I really really love having the music as a record. Each to their own !
Damn this takes me back to my Uni days. Dem feels. Muse were one of my absolute seminal bands up until 27-28ish. New Born was the ultimate for me

Great remix. I hope Absolution gets the same treatment in 2024, as it suffered from similar mixing issues of OoS imo.
