Any guesses on what this sold for? Give it your best shot!
What was your favorite part of today's flip?
One of your worse pieces so far. So disappointing..
I am going to say $250?? And the best part was covering the blue paint that wouldn’t come off.
My favorite part is you didn’t give up and figured out another design!
Loved everything...except the stencil drawers. It would have looked so much better. Had you paint washed the drawers before stenciling ... Or just left the stenciling out completely. Otherwise, good job!
$850
I have that very dresser. Found it in a barn of property we bought in 1984. Still in the same condition I found it. It may be time for an update.
I’ve always liked the nicks and dings and scratches. It has been in my living room since I found it. Half the veneer gone and third drawer won’t open. Never has. I’m retired now and all the kids and grands are gone.
It’s her turn.
That is awesome!
@@LemonstoLemonadeFurniture had a fire on Sunday. Lost my shop. My dresser was in there. I had just started. Life is weird. Grass fire that spread. Just the barn and 4 old semis that have been parked. When the grass fire hit my oil drums and fuel tanks, it was over! (Truck yard).
Love how this one turned out! There's no way the plywood on the sides would have stained well, so great decision to move forward with paint. Loved seeing you use the carbide scraper. Awesome job with this one!!! You do great work!
Thanks buddy! I almost said “sorry Barry” when I recorded that part! Lol I’ll get better at it eventually.
I suggest using a dryish brush to dab paint on the stencil areas..keeps paint from running under edges of the design. Also it is good to use 3 colors (dark, medium, light) for the design...gives depth and interest that keeps the eye moving instead of just an unlively flatish look.
Love the new paint job!! It looks stunning !
It's SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The color you chose is amazing! The stencil on the row wood was a brilliant idea! The knobs are fantastic! I love everything about this transformation! Thanks so much for sharing
That blue paint did NOT want to go! Great job - it looks fabulous!
I think this piece brought out your creativity! It may have taken more time and energy, but it is my favorite of all the flips you've done! It's the one I'd actually enjoy in my own home. I don't enjoy pieces that look like they came from a furniture store. It's well loved antiques with great patina or painted with charm for me ( and also the market I live in - Mid Atlantic region). Since this is your business and not a hobby, I get that you have to pivot and generate alternatives when executing plan A is no longer a wise decision. What rule says plan B or even C isn't even better! I think this project proves that point. This project also proves function can also be beautiful! Kudos for giving this old piece a new life.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the compliment! I appreciate you being here!
Kara that came out fabulous. I love the stencil it bumped it up a few notches and came out beautiful!!!
I think it came out beautiful!! My favorite part of this flip was the reality of flipping, This was truly making lemonade out of lemons.
Thank you so much!
Whew!!!! Labor INTENSIVE - and it paid off. SO beautiful! I couldn’t find what you sold it for…..I’ll bet close to $900? Thanks for your video❤️
Thank you! 😊
I'm blown away with your transformation on this one. I couldn't visualize what you were doing, which made the reveal especially amazing.
Im not sure about hardware, but the rest is beautiful!
That’s what I thought too. To me the top small drawers look out of wack due to keyhole in the centre. Maybe one centred handle would be better? But I absolutely love the design on the large drawers! I’m going to copy this style on my old waterfall kitchen cabinet.
Even though it was a lot of effort and elbow grease with the paint removal, the decisions you made with the paint wash and stenciled drawers were wonderful! Everything came together and you created a dazzling piece…wow! A real beauty!!🎉👏🎉👏
Beautiful
Excellent
PRETTY!! ❤
It is beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
I think I would have continued to wear a mask for all the scraping & sanding. Nice job!
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
I love seeing the beautiful wood grain!
Thank you for not painting it white like others do!
Awesome job!!! Lovely!!!
It looks great 👍 👌 ❤❤
Thank you so much 😊
LOVE IT!!!
This is the most beautiful dresser I have ever seen! I would love to see a companion piece in the same style. Breathtaking! 💕🥰
Thank you @lorrainegreen6782! This makes me smile! So happy to hear! Hope to see you next time!
It is so pretty now! An unbelievable amount of work but the results were worth it.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
The dresser turned out great. Love the stencil. I love the grain of oak but not the orangey color. You nailed it.
A perfect piece of furniture which exudes beauty and class you really did a great job
Thank you so much!
Really nice !
EZ Strip from Home Depot is quick and easy to use. It saves a lot of time.
Nicely done!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for video I have a much needed project for my daughter dresser now I have new tips and ideas 👍
Wonderful! Good luck!
I thought it turned out gorgeous! I only wish you’d had metal or glass knobs but what you chose was very appropriate and cost effective.
Wow! It’s so beautiful! Great job sticking to it!
Thank you! 😊
CONGRATULATIONS EXCELLENT🇬🇧👀
Thank you! 😃
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
This took a tremendous amount of perseverance and time. Job well done!
@deniseparker6346 Thank you! I appreciate you watching! Hope to see you next time!
The stencil is my favorite part! This turned out gorgeous!!!
Love it
Thank you for this amazing video! I’m so glad you’re not using a fancy surfpro or a paint sprayer, and that you’re showing an alternative way to paint your pieces when they don’t go according to plan… stuff most channels wont show. And also, the finished result is absolutely gorgeous!! Subbed. ✅
Glad it was helpful! Oh yes gotta show all the ins and outs! Lol it’s a learning curve for sure!
I love, love, love how the colour you used on the stencil work is the same time as the grain! This piece is gorgeous. Great work!
*tone
Looks great
@jackiejordan6950 Thank you! I really appreciate you being here! Hope to see you next time!
Gorgeous flip! Love how it turned out.
Thanks so much!
I love how it turn out! The only thing I would change would be the knobs with something more like a jewel type, to give the piece a more feminine look, since it is so chunky. Either way it looks great and very classy! Nice work!
I love what you've done it's absolutely beautiful but wondering if you can show it in a brighter light just to see the details and the colors in a different light. Thanks
When I first saw the colors you'd chosen, my expectations were low. And how wrong I was! I absolutely love this piece and it would fit in well in my home. Great job!
Very lovely
Thank you! 😊
Very nice
Now thats bad ass
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
and Mrs T WOW what a great job you have done here. The piece looks really lovely well done
I use my heat gum with my scraper and it helps a lot
Some strippers are flammable...assuming yours is not.
Love this but would prefer vintage brass knobs.
No! One must almost always get the old finish OFF, within reason, to get a fab result. ❤
Love it🎉🎉🎉
I have to be honest! At first I wasn’t sure about the direction you were going in! But the finished product looks GREAT! Love it!
Thanks so much!! I wasn’t sure about my direction either!! Lol I’m happy it sold so quick. Thanks for watching!
Omg, I didn't think it was going to come together. It is truly beautiful!!❤
Thank you! 😊 so very much!
Using a stencil really gave it a warm tone on tone look that's timeless. It really looks lovely. I'm guessing it sold for at least $375.
Bon travail👍🌷🌷
Have you ever considered have a soda blaster around for those spots you can’t get with scraping and sanding? I think you have an air compressor so a small soda blaster would only be like $35. If you have a powerful enough compressor they work like a charm.
This is an amazing piece. Love the finished design. 😊
Very nice.
Thank you
Beautiful piece. You loved it back to life. 💛
Loved it, very fresh and airy! BIG job I can see. Well done.
I think this is just beautiful and I love the stencil too...
Love your shirt!
Thanks!
Turned out beautiful!
I love you work, keep it up.....
Thank you so much 😀
This turned out beautiful
Love the finished product
Minimum $500. Well worth it, stunningly beautiful bet it went fast too.
Very pretty
It turned out great! I have a dresser that was painted blue and I mean blue everywhere…on the inside the drawers…streaked all over the place and I’m having a hard time removing the paint. It’s so frustrating when you have a piece like that but you did a great job!
This piece turned out beautiful 🎉
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
Wish I could find one like it to paint white and put it in my sewing room to add more wood to the top and make a sewing table. Beautiful!
That's a great idea!
GOSH , I just LOVE it, well done, it is amazing ! Great Job, yes yes, make more like this one, awesome idea !
Thank you! Will do!
Wasn’t sure about the stencil but it really looks good on those 2 long drawers. Nice job and thanks to your neighbors for gifting it to you. It’s beautiful.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
LOVE THIS PIECE! I think it might be my favorite so far. Thank you for all of the knowledge you share. You’re a joy to watch❤
Thank you Kimberly! You made my day!
Wow that is such a beautiful transformation. Such cool skills
Thank you so much 🤗
Even though I liked the blue, I really thought your end result was perfect. Nice job for sticking with it, and I appreciate the new idea.
Thank you!
I loved it! ❤
tip #2 Use JASCO premium paint and epoxy remover is a red metal can... it really works and is the best i tried so far...the blue can u used is smelly and does not work as should be.
Also, piece should have been checked for lead based paint. There are kits for this; relative simple to do.
Often this is industrial paint used to paint equipment and is not meant to come off.
yes, i think the paint was epoxy base so that is why was so hard to get it off.@@xxx-il9dv
This is a very pretty dresser and your design decisions were perfect for it!
What a beautiful piece of work!!
Thank you very much!
It is amazing. Totally worth it. I love watching and learning from you. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Nice! The way that paint was hanging on I wonder if it's lead-based. Be careful with that dust you and kiddos.
It’s very, very pretty.
This piece demonstrates the reality of furniture stripping! The reality of what's under that paint! And the reality of a change in direction can make lemonade out what seems like a sour lemon!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
Absolutely has to be my favorite of all the flips youve done! I gasped when the stencils came out, but it really took it over the top! Love your channel!
Thank you so much!
You are the Best, Girlie.... my fave finisher. Never disappointed in anything you do. ❤
Wow, thank you! Massive complement!
Wow!! What a transformation!! Loved it!! ❤❤
Yay! Thank you!
Wow
Super, super great job! It is beautiful!❤
Great refinishing. Looks so nice afterwards. 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Love this!! So natural and light :)
Yes! Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous! You did an awesome job!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful and original. Nicely done!
Thank you very much!
Greetings from the UK! What a stunning transformation. Thank you for sharing your skills and experience.
Thank you very much!
I picked up a dresser like this off the side of the road. It needs a lot of wood glue and screws! Lol Once the dresser has the needed support, you have given me great ideas to work off of. My dresser is still in the trunk of my SUV because like you I was stumped! Lol
Thank you so much! I appreciate you tuning in! Hope to see you next time!
