The kid just made Drummer World's Top 500 all time greatest drummers. You should really dive into her TH-cam channel. And her pops does all of her drum mics.

Hey, why don't you do a Yoyoka collaboration? "Yoyoka 101groove" would be a start - that project was one of her contributions to the pandemic 'stay home' effort.
I know - huge google algorithm failure not to have brought it to our attention in April 2020, right??
BTW I sent you a PM on IG.
I enjoy the kindness and positivity I find here on your channel..

Have you heard The Warning? 3 sisters from Mexico who are about to release their 3rd album, have 22+ million views on their Enter Sandman cover when they were 14, 12, and 9(!) years old, have 2 songs on Rock Band 4, and the youngest (just turned 16) has a Spector Signature Bass coming out this year. Here is the drummer at 10 years old: th-cam.com/video/MUAhV8K-v3A/w-d-xo.html and here is the drummer at 18 singing lead while beating the drums like they owe her money: th-cam.com/video/jhB5OssZB9U/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheWarning

It looks like that song burns like 3000 calories in 6 minutes... it's not just hard in terms of skill, but like running a 4 minute mile too... Seeing Yoyoka nail it so good even the original artist lauds it makes it all the more impressive... so, anyone who can even do a reasonable facsimile deserves credit. Hats off!

Oh no, you said “kid drummer”😳. You’re the first person that talked about her relaxed way of playing. It’s so true, like a boxer being relaxed. If a boxer held his breath or stayed tense, he wouldn’t last 2 rounds without being gassed. No way she finishes this if she’s knotted up and not breathing correctly. She didn’t even look like she was breathing hard after that.

Deep Purple is the best band ever. I know it's a matter of personal feeling, but you just have to play their songs to notice it. Of course that's not for everybody, but you can see other people playing them.Musicians of Deep Purple are very skillful. We need a lot practice to play like them.Yoyoka is amazing for that reason.

Those master drummers you mention & list are an insult to humanity. I am human & completely insulted I don't have their raw talent nor ability. A bunch of jerks if you ask me. Now drummers that drum in a way that the common human can say "He's a drummer, even a pro drummer, & you know what? I could see me doing that!" So regular drummers are inspiring. Masters, on the other hand, are discouraging to aspiring drummers. Never minimize your own contribution. THAT SAID. Yes, I am still in awe of this little girl. She makes me want to live so I can see her progress knowing that there is NO WAY I can ever do what she could when she was 6. You point to her relaxed movements. That is one of the most impressive things I noticed straight away too. She flows, naturally. She isn't trying to play, she's playing. "Mental gymnastics?" You bet your arse. Moving all four quadrants to ostensibly different timings is something I cannot comprehend. How someone can do that AND remember all the notes? Unbelievable. Us guitarists work on hand & finger synchronization, but both feet and both hands? How does that work? We only have a left brain and a right brain, so... whose controlling those feet? Don't give too many kudos to youtube. Their end goal is the subjugation of all humans, drummers or not. Oh, BTW, the big dark hexagon behind your head at first glance or when seeing it out of the corner of your eye makes it look like you have giant 'fro. Watching you play this song on guitar has inspired me to learn it. If you were Petrucci I wouldn't bother. See? Masters suck. Oh, now to counter balance my positive comments, I hate bass players that play with a pick. They're basically just like midget guitar players, the frets being spaced so far apart. It's them right hand fingers that do the magic, & "No, I do not have THAT kind of finger magic. I have a different kind."
