“The southern rocker hat” is not a proper name for a hat. I kinda know what u mean, But it isn’t exactly a name for a hat type…Now, there is some corny hat brand on Facebook advertising a “southern rocker hat” I think, basically it’s a gambler, I remember running across it. . Have you seen the Ranchman hat by Tecovas? What do you think about it? Was thinking of purchasing it. It has an exclusive Tecovas crown, or so they say.
It looks like a decent quality, but who knows?.. if you like it, you can take a risk.. make sure they have a decent return policy first. Me,personally I don’t care for the shape of it.. for $300 you can get a nice Stetson Skyline or Stetson Carson which have much nicer shapes in my opinion. I didn’t like this photo here www.tecovas.com/products/the-ranchman?variant=42233088278723. I thought the crown looked strangely low here, and the brim looks odd. , It’s obviously made by another hat company, for the boot brand.. but who knows who made it.? It might be fine, but for the price.. I’d go with a major hat brand. That’s a lot of money for an unknown hat brand.

Oh, that’s a custom hat. It was made in our custom shop back when I worked on fifth Ave. I still have that hat. I might be able to sell it to you. It was a pretty high end custom hat when it was built. $450-550ish but I’d be able to sell it for much less, maybe $175 or slightly more if it needs a new sweatband or ribbon.. you can email me kevintoddgerber@gmail.com Size is maybe 58-60 …in that area.. I also might be able to make you one of my KTG Customs like that. Flat brim, open crown. Sapphire colored.. I have a hat styled like this, called the Drop Top. I have two special hats coming out for the holidays. The drop top is like that blue hat, and the other one is a Nostalgia Premier-Egyptology Edition..a tall, open crowned vintage hat in dark chocolate brown with black trim,
My last new hat was the Resistol 6x chl crown in black only cause I couldn't find the Stetson I wanted, next 1 I invest in has to be at least a 10 or 20x, the nicer that hat the better, I keep my lower like 4x hats for building fence in shit weather
I never thought I'd love Western hats so much! Is the Stetson Gambler (Royal Flush?) a good first choice? I'm not that big of a person though (5 foot 8 inches)--I definitely want something Western, but I'm afraid they might look too big. That Gambler hat looks amazing on you; it suits you the best out of all the other ones in my opinion! The Open Road is nice, but I kind of want to be asked where my horse is lol. Thanks for any input Kevin, hope you're safe and healthy !!
Snow F royal Flush is the PERFECT hat for someone who’s not too tall, I have a client who is about 5’ 4” he wears a black Royal Flush with a dark overcoat and I always thought it looked so classy and cool, the all black look, but not too overdone.
Oh brother !! I’ve been watching your channel now for like 3 plus years . This is my first comment . Sorry so long haha …. I’d love to visit your store . I may have to make quite a few trips because yes - I’m a hat guy !! If you see any of my videos ( please stop over and sub and say hello )…. Well you will notice that I’m always wearing some sort of hat : Cowboy mostly. I’ve been wearing the 4” brim now for like 30 + years . Now the last couple of years , I wear the “ Stallone Rocky Hat “. ( great hat that goes with basically anything - I can wear with jeans and tshirt and a pair of dirty sweatpants and a Carhartt hoodie / jacket ). Great hat !! I was a bit Leary hoping to pull it off . Again - I’m so used to wearing the 4” brim I didn’t think I’d be able to rock the 2” brim size like the Rocky hat . ( dark navy blue - almost black in color ). So with a little tilt to the side ??? Success !! Love it !! Ok so now that I pulled that off , it was finally time to invest in a vintage 4 X Stetson Open Road in Silverbelly. ( cost me like $170 on eBay ). It’s in Beautiful condition. ( it has a 1” STETSON Pin - full name ) The more modern OR’s have the “ JBS “ pin . So anyway - I’m really stoked about this hat . Again - truly beautiful!!! Problem ???? It’s a tad too tight . I don’t want to return so I’m going to try and stretch it out a bit - I think 1/8” should do the trick . I’m normally in size 7 1/4” Cowboy hat . I have a few 7 3/8 “ that are a tad too big . So I feel like I’m in between sizes . ( between 7 1/4 and 7 3/8 ). What size would THAT be ??? Haha 😂 I hope to pull this off as well . Once I get situated I’ll be posting a video wearing with various outfits . This hat can go with basically anything too . If I can somehow rock this , you know what I’ll be buying next ??? The Stratoliner !!!! Yeahhhhhhhhh I’m already thinking that is next . ( I was going to purchase the OR straw but I can wait til the weather gets warm again ). Ok so that’s that . Just so you know - I’m into collecting knives . Most of my videos are knife related . 30 plus years of collecting. Very friendly with the man who created the knives used in Rambo Last Blood . I have a huge collection of famous movie knives . When I stopped playing out live shows with my bands , I decided to get into knife collecting. Sold a bunch of my equipment and invested in beautiful blades. ( trust me - I’m still a rocker at heart . No bands anymore . Just the occasional Nashville trip ( I’ll be invited to the stage to sing a song or 2 ), and of course I sang at my daughters wedding ( and countless others ). The best was when I sang at my daughters- I would not get up there without my Black Stetson Cowboy hat haha 😂 ( luckily I brought with me ). Oh Lord !! I told you this would be long . I should of just called you haha . I’ll let you go . Thanks for these awesome videos and I hope you stop by sometime. Cheers 🤠
Hi i bought a stetson black skyline, Is there a way to soften it a bit? I mean not like a wool hat but right now is very stiff, something in between perhaps
That’s a very American style, not very Australian, u can always reshape an Akubra crown to be round, but the way the brim is curved with a pencil curl, that’s not something you’ll see in Akubra
It’s a pretty typical, crushable lite felt , the American litefelts are all made the same, many of those are made by the same company, Bollman hats, who makes them for dozens of companies.. they’re nice, soft, lightweight.. but that type of crushable Outback is common, and many brands make them. We sell the outback hat by Capas headwear in NYC, same hat, with a little simpler leather band, and a 1/8” shorter brim. They’re very nice
My problem is every western straw hat I buy is for a round head -- my head is kinda oval . Can I dampen the straw with steam then place it on my head until it dries ?
Just pull it lengthwise with your hands, tug on it repeatedly, stretch it in opposite directions firmly but carefully, don’t jerk or snap it, do it slowly and increase pressure...keep at it, do it every day,or sit there and do it 100 times..it’ll oval out, eventually. The best thing is to wear it, keep wearing it, the heat and oils from your head will soften it too. Also, there’s a Reed inside the sweatband, a circular ring of nylon fishing line..inside the sweatband. u can remove the tension by cutting it. And the hat will stretch out more easily. in the leather sweatband, in back, behind your head, there’s a seam, the stitches right near that little tiny bow? The back seam of the leather sweatband. Ok, on the tip of it, there’s a little tube,I’m there is the reed.make a little cut in the tube part and try to find that little nylon line inside make the cut as small as possible, like the size of a staple.. once u get your hands on the Reed, cut it, that will relive some tension.. no need to remove it, just cut it and the tension releases. then, u can make a stitch or two, with a needle and thread, and close the cut, or use a little dab of glue on a toothpick, like a micro dot, and close the hole, hold it tight with direct pressure for a minute,it’ll close and look invisible
TShull yeah, they’ve gone through some high and low periods, back in the late 90’s Stetson had some real crap circulating, paper sweatbands, with leathery paint on one side, stuff like that... but there are better people running the show now, much better people.. they’re not like the golden age of hats, of course, but of the 25 years I’m here, they’re definitely peaking now
I'm a Cherokee Cousin of the most important Cherokee in American history, Will Rogers. I believe that Will wore an Open Road when he wasn't wearing a fedora. Please correct me if I'm wrong. What I think you're saying about the Stetson Open Road is its the kind of hat you can wear without being accused of being "All hat, no cattle.". Being a Cherokee guy living with my wife on our little 60-acre horse farm in the middle of nowhere in Virginia I do own a few Stetsons and my latest is a Stetson Drifter 4x Buffalo felt. It's got the pinch front that my lovely wife believes looks best on me. And, yes, my wife is the ultimate arbiter of any hats that I'll wear. As a note, I do have a Stetson straw version of the Drifter that I've had for a year or so. Sgi which is Cherokee for thank you. 🪶🪶👍🏻🪶🪶
You’d be better off asking Stetson, but if it’s a Stetson Coonskin hat, they haven’t really made those for 200 years or so.. it’s old. Keep it away from any heat, coolest place in the house is best, even in a brown paper bag in The fridge, but no heat, or hot rooms..ever.
They are the Stetson Tried City, comes in off-white w burnt orange band, grey w burgundy band & also a black w green band www.jjhatcenter.com/products/the-tri-city-by-stetson
Hey Kevin great video! I had a question about these western hats. I have a really round head so hats like the stetson open road with an oval shape do not fit my head. Do you have any western hat recommendations with a rounder head shape? Thanks!
No, they're no hats like that, we are located right in KoreaTown, most Asian people have roundish heads and I'm used to it. You should experiment with softer hats vs harder hats, see how they work, , u can also go a tad big, then add foam in back and front to round out a hat..best way, just go larger, and pad down..the heat and perspiration from wearing it will round it out,if u wear it a lot,it helps.
SUPER late reply but this may help someone else too. You might want to look at other options from Resistol or American Hat Co specifically. Resistol and Stetson are made by HatCo in Garland, Tx and they make their own hat bodies. American Hat gets their hat bodies though still high quality and finishes the hat in Bowie, Tx. Both Resistol and American offer many many sizes in round and long oval.
Hi Kevin how could I get a Stetson Brentwood hat( it only comes in natural color and is a light weight shantung straw) in a Open Road type straw cognac, chocolate, etc. Any ideas or suggestions ?
They only have limited models, those open roads are brand new, wait till the summer, that stuff will be expanding, many new models ordered for April and May. I’m not familiar w Brentwood, I’ll research it though

@@KTGHATS Thank You Kevin ,I will recommend Your services to my buddies, but Yes as for the Resistol, they make fine western hats and the majority of them, unlike Stetson hats come with long oval crown form, priced similarly and manufactured at the same facility in Garland TX,btw, are Dobb's of NY stil in business? As a kid I remember my late father when returning back home from sailing to the U.S brought those hats along, Best Greets, and nice day to You,Hope we can do some business down the road,Paul
That’s an odd one, it’s like a long brim fedora with a telescopic crown. Similar to a Bolero, but with a snap brim.. We could reshape a 3” brim fedora like the Calico into a flat crown, and snap the brim down , or we can start with a stiffer, outback hat like the Stetson Dune and reshape the crown flat, like a bolero. Depending on if u wanted it soft and comfortable, or stiff and rugged... we could alter a hat to look like it easily, but it’s like a gambler crown matched with a wide snap brim, not something we sell off the rack, but so many styles are close, they have a pinch front, instead of the flat, round crown, they can all be redesigned, u could do it with a flat brim too, if wanted to alter the style slightly, flat brims are popular now..if so, u could take the Tri City and reshape the crown, or just buy the Bolero.its just like his hat, except the brim is totally flat..

Funny --- the very first example of felt "open road" had you held up was EXACTLY like my grandfather-rancher's Stetson that he wore from the 1960s until he died in 1995 -- at age 93. :)
yeah, those are pretty classic...they will outlast the owners quite often.. we get a lot of folks bringing in western Stetsons from their dad or grandpa, thank u for sharing that.. kev
Kevin a query, in the minute 10:43 of your video, you show that black hat, I want one like that, when I go to buy it, how do I ask for it? Does that hat have a specific name? Greetings from Chile.
No idea, it's need to me. we sold El Patron decades ago, we had one,it took couple of years, but eventually sold at a discount.. and back then there was only one type..and it cane in two colors
Nope, they’re offered up to size 7 3/4, we order them in every available size. Westerns are stiff and barely flex at all, so they don’t run particularly large, either.. The Stetson Rancher is available up to size 8, the Stetson Temple (Indiana Jones ) comes up to size 8, in many colors, and the crushable “outback hat” in XXL is very big too.
They’re GREAT! it’s a lower crown than the rancher,we carry mostly the rancher, but we have sold the skyline, it’s very well designed and it has that bold, authentic cattleman’s crease, but not so tall, like the rancher.. if u like that hat, the 10X Shasta is amazing too. We call it the Tycoon on our website. Similar look as the skyline, but it’s Beaver, not rabbit.. www.jjhatcenter.com/products/the-tycoon
@@KTGHATS Great to hear will definitely give it a look ! Will you guys be getting any Skyline in stock soon ? Will def buy from JJ if it ships to Canada !
@@KTGHATS dude, thank you so much for interacting and answering this gentleman’s question. I’m on the other side of the country and have Montana roots but am very much a city man... been wanting to mix up my wardrobe and get more into western wear and today picked up my first ever true cowboy hat, buying a Stetson skyline in granite. I’ve been online the last hour watching clips on etiquette and care... your video was informative and this comment was encouraging. Keep it up my friend!
Silver belly looks very dressy, and classical. Black looks very cool too though, think about what u wear them with, how they’ll match up. Also, most folks look better in a light or a dark hat, depending on their coloration..hair,complexion, eye color.. try some dark and light hats on, of any type..and see what u look better in.. many times guys w dark hair, dark eyes, look great in black. Silver belly is great but black is easier to maintain.
Steve H. You look good in those cowboy hats, most men do. JFK was presented with a sharp natural open road Stetson at a breakfast in Fort Worth the morning of his assassination. He refused to put the hat on his head. History might have been different if he had put that hat on and made some witty comments for a minute or two. The crowd would have given JFK a standing ovation. But, he chose to just hold the hat. History was carried out.
Great video. The Rancher is what Texas Rangers order, but in silver belly. Black is not allowed with the Rangers. They also use a Cattlemen by Resistol. Thanks.
I can look at the models n try to nail it, if it's Stetson. It's a western straw with an oversized brim that the wearer curled himself, typical Stetson or Resistol western straw, but he modified the brim. Any straw western with a big brim and cattleman's crease will do, I can shape it that way for u. I'll try to look into it. images.app.goo.gl/tmjestqy11ADNwdH6
I cant decide if I want a black bolero or a black gambler... i have asian features and Im not sure which looks good. Thanks for this video so I can put words to the hats at least!
The quality on the 6x has tanked, I’d stay away from it, Seriously, they’re highly problematic, the brims arrive crooked and cannot be steamed, they curl like crazy, just get the Royal deluxe, the pure…or go vintage.. I’d avoid the 6x like the plague, unless u are ok with wavy brims..
I think Paul Newman wore a Gambler Hat with a small Brim in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I think Redford wore a Gambler too in that Western Movie.
Hi again Kevin, Following your good advice I’ve finished fine sanding the original/ faded color join on my Stetson. It’s near perfect! I wanted to change its wide hippy 1970’s style band for something narrower and more... well Bad Ass. I wanted something old and eventually turned to 19c heavy horse harness, you can find pieces at a very reasonable, low price on eBay.co.uk, the sort of thing I think you’d pay much more for in the States. I made a band from a Simple brass concho (horse brass in English) studded original leather heavy horse martingale, I think it’s a real success - it was originally made in about 1880 and so around while the west was being won! I wish I could send you a photograph of the finished hat. Best of thoughts from Paris, your hat/ music videos are keeping
Royal blue w the flat brim? It was made Custom for me in our workshop by Van, our hat maker.. full custom jobs are kinda expensive, $650 & up, but u can also have a hat reshaped in the workshop, way cheaper.. get a blue Ontario and our hatmaker can reshape the brim flat and crown open like that hat,the modifications would run under $100

Kevin the duster gun club hat you wore. That was a Dune correct???
Yes.
That open road hat on this guy the way he moves reminds me of Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones 😁
I’m a super fan, this guy makes me want to go to New York!
Kevin, I'm mailing in my vintage 64 Resistol to get cleaned as soon as i get my straw hat setup and good to go for this summer.
Once it's cleaned I'd be so honored to see you wearing it in a pic or video.
Detman101 sure, when we reopen u can do that, we don’t really clean, I can buff out the surface stuff, but no stains.. after we reopen for business u can send it attn Kevin and it’ll be my honor, Sir!
@@KTGHATS Thank you so much, I will do exactly that. It just needs a touch up...primp the telescope bash...I'm sure you'll know what to do to get it back right =] I'll stay tuned for the reopening date. Thank you sir!
,,,enjoying the chocolate straw open road I purchased this Labor Day Weekend...Saludos Kevin...desde El Valle del Rio Grande Tejas.
I'd watch this guy if he were selling dishwashers. He's so passionate, knowledgeable, and freakin' entertaining. ✌
Thanks 🙏 !!
I love all these, I'm having trouble finding that 'gambler' stetson though, can't seem to find the one your wearing in this video and I love it
The gambler is called the royal flush www.amazon.com/Stetson-Royal-Flush-Club-Hat-Black-7/dp/B0043G7RMQ?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A2WOPAGVJGO3RL
They’re hard to find right now. We sell a softer crushable version right now called the crushable leisure Gambler by Capas we have stock in black or camel, 8006221911
The hat I’m wearing is custom made at JJ hat center by our hat maker,”Van” it’s a one of a kind
Cooooool…. You really know your stuff! Thanks
Thank you!
What's the difference between open road straw and open road?
Hi Kevin. I really like your videos. I Google searched JJ Hats In New York. I ask if you worked there the sales lady said there was no one by the name of Kevin that worked there.
Hi Kevin, there’s a blue hat with brown band on the bottom shelf behind you. What kind of hat is that? Thanks!
Flat ones on the bottom? They are black w Forest green bands. Stetson Tri City www.jjhatcenter.com/products/the-tri-city-by-stetson
The straw open road is dope. Would definitely be my choice.
What hat are you wearing in the video? I want that but in black. It’s so hard to find. The blue one you are wearing first with the flat brim
Oh, that’s a custom hat. It was made in our custom shop back when I worked on fifth Ave. I still have that hat. I might be able to sell it to you. It was a pretty high end custom hat when it was built. $450-550ish but I’d be able to sell it for much less, maybe $175 or slightly more if it needs a new sweatband or ribbon.. you can email me kevintoddgerber@gmail.com
Size is maybe 58-60 …in that area..
So great your video!! Thanks👌🏼🔝🔝🔝
Master salesman! Knows how to sell an image
I love that blue hat that you had on in the beginning of the video I think it's an open Crown 3" Brim Not sure of the name
That’s a custom made hat made in the JJ Hats workshop, by our hatmaker , I like it a lot too!
So great your video!! Thanksss🔝🔝🙌🏻😋
Glad you liked it!!
Hah! I just bought a Palm Leaf Straw hat shaped just like that one...except I made the crown Telescoped.
Love it so far.
Gamblers are perfect for shorter folks, the royal flush is a great choice
@@KTGHATS Thank you!! The Royal Flush is my first choice--the gun club hats are so great
Snow F royal Flush is the PERFECT hat for someone who’s not too tall, I have a client who is about 5’ 4” he wears a black Royal Flush with a dark overcoat and I always thought it looked so classy and cool, the all black look, but not too overdone.
Well you will notice that I’m always wearing some sort of hat :
Cowboy mostly.
( it has a 1” STETSON Pin - full name )
The more modern OR’s have the “ JBS “ pin .
So anyway -
I’m really stoked about this hat .
Haha 😂
I hope to pull this off as well .
Once I get situated I’ll be posting a video wearing with various outfits .
This hat can go with basically anything too .
If I can somehow rock this , you know what I’ll be buying next ???
The Stratoliner !!!!
Yeahhhhhhhhh
I’m already thinking that is next .
The best was when I sang at my daughters- I would not get up there without my Black Stetson Cowboy hat haha 😂
( luckily I brought with me ).
Oh Lord !!
I told you this would be long .
I should of just called you haha .
I’ll let you go .
Thanks for these awesome videos and I hope you stop by sometime.
Cheers 🤠
Hi i bought a stetson black skyline,
Is there a way to soften it a bit?
I mean not like a wool hat but right now is very stiff, something in between perhaps
Just massage and knead the felt w your hands..keep pressing it,denting it,pinching it.. and kneading it like dough. The only way..
Hi Kevin, does Akubra make any fur hat similar in style to the Stetson Royal Flush hat?
That’s a very American style, not very Australian, u can always reshape an Akubra crown to be round, but the way the brim is curved with a pencil curl, that’s not something you’ll see in Akubra
Love these videos. Where are you on the Stetson Bozeman?
I really like the Gambler style. I think that will be my next hat.
Do you ship internationally? More specifically Norway. Love your work, just got my first Stetson Traveller and I'm definetely hooked! Love your work!
Thank u!! Yes, we ship anywhere www.jjhatcenter.com or call 212 239-4368
Pretty sure it is a $50 flat fee, so if u buy a $45 cap, it’s not a good deal, but if u buy a felt hat or two, it’s not bad
It makes me happy watching your videos, classic
WOW that's cool,glad I'm able to make u happy
Happy holidays 😎
Great video Kevin! Love those Western hats here in Nashville, TN. Keep up the good work!
Thanks bud 😎
Great reviews,I have an old Stetson cattlemen crease I bought in the 70s and a Stratoliner straw. Awesome hats only brand I buy
TShull yeah, they’ve gone through some high and low periods, back in the late 90’s Stetson had some real crap circulating, paper sweatbands, with leathery paint on one side, stuff like that... but there are better people running the show now, much better people.. they’re not like the golden age of hats, of course, but of the 25 years I’m here, they’re definitely peaking now
@@KTGHATS Great channel man subbed you!

Great video Kevin !!!! Love the hats I ordered last week !!!
Yay!😻
wishing i could teleport me there for a few hours , damn!
Hello I’m in desperate need of knowledge about my royal Stetson coonskin hat I can’t find anything about it please
Awesome stuff man! The gambit is real cool and unique!
Cris Yorke one of my favorites too...love those Gamblers
What are the grey-blue flat-brim hats with the brown rispband on the bottom left?
They are the Stetson Tried City,
comes in off-white w burnt orange band,
grey w burgundy band & also a
black w green band

I loved the Gambler with the western band!
Me too, those a really nice.
I hit 3 open roads, 2 El Presidente’s, 4 El Patrons in two months… you should mention how addictive Stetsons can be! lol
love your channel👍👍👍
Thanks so much!!!
It won't happen at my age but if I were to go to N.Y. again I would defiantly go to this store.
You should experiment with softer hats vs harder hats, see how they work,
, u can also go a tad big, then add foam in back and front to round out a hat..best way, just go larger, and pad down..the heat and perspiration from wearing it will round it out,if u wear it a lot,it helps.
@@KTGHATS Awesome, thanks for the tip!
@@KTGHATS
Oh ok, Thank you .It's a fairly cheap priced hat around $40, it falls more on the straw DRESS hat side category than a WORKING hat but none the less I enjoy wearing it and get plenty of compliments. I hope to see you feature it on one of your videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge I have learned what to look for in a hat and you do a great job going into detail describing the materials , the do's & dont's and sharing your over all knowledge about the hat world . keep up the great videos👍💯 .
Hi Kevin and thank You for sharing, whitout further ado, here come my two questions does Your business ship to Europe via USPS Priority International, and do You sell any Resistol Brand hats,?Thank You for Your Comments, Much appreciated, Best Greets from Finland-Scandinavia-Eu, Paul
We ship to Europe w post office and we don't order resistol because they're made by the same color.as Stetson.and New Yorkers and tourists alike love Stetson, resistol is hotter down south
You’re the man!
Good stuff as always! Nice to see you model them, too.
Thanks
Hey Kevin any idea what was the hat that Colonel Mortimer wore in "For a few more dollars"?
That’s an odd one, it’s like a long brim fedora with a telescopic crown. Similar to a Bolero, but with a snap brim.. We could reshape a 3” brim fedora like the Calico into a flat crown, and snap the brim down , or we can start with a stiffer, outback hat like the Stetson Dune and reshape the crown flat, like a bolero.
Depending on if u wanted it soft and comfortable, or stiff and rugged... we could alter a hat to look like it easily, but it’s like a gambler crown matched with a wide snap brim, not something we sell off the rack, but so many styles are close, they have a pinch front, instead of the flat, round crown, they can all be redesigned, u could do it with a flat brim too, if wanted to alter the style slightly, flat brims are popular now..if so, u could take the Tri City and reshape the crown, or just buy the Bolero.its just like his hat, except the brim is totally flat..
www.google.com/search?q=for+a+few+more+dollars+colonel+mortimer&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=ivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi73avQpePlAhUB2VkKHSnSDm0Q_AUoAXoECA8QAQ&biw=792&bih=716#imgrc=hII1JzxQXaXRUM
Good looking hat, I can make this for u out of another wide brim, black hat..anything with a 3” brim or more, the Calico, the Dune, The Madrid,Tri City..Bolero..
@@KTGHATS amazing thank you so much for all the info!

Stetson Rancher www.jjhatcenter.com they are almost sold out now, new ones will arrive in September, three colors.
Love the idea of an Open Road Rancher. Mexican guy know's style.
What's the difference between Stetson 48 and 75 profile El patron hat??? Thank you
No idea, it's need to me.
we sold El Patron decades ago, we had one,it took couple of years, but eventually sold at a discount.. and back then there was only one type..and it cane in two colors
I love your blue reservation hat. I have a black
Can you do a video on all the hats Clint Eastwood wore in his movies please
I can research it a bit, it’ll take a little time..good idea though
Quick question... is it possible to order a Stetson Open Road straw hat in size-8 ...?
Nope, they’re offered up to size 7 3/4, we order them in every available size. Westerns are stiff and barely flex at all, so they don’t run particularly large, either..
The Stetson Rancher is available up to size 8, the Stetson Temple (Indiana Jones ) comes up to size 8, in many colors,
and the crushable “outback hat” in XXL is very big too.
KEVIN from JJ HAT CENTER 🎸HATS & GUITARS !
Thanx, I’ll check those hat out 👍
I bought a stratoliner from your store in summer 2020
You look very familiar, I, sure I remember you!
I believe Bo Diddley wore the Gambler with big ponchos. Traditionally it's a women's hat. It's a nice one though.
Still trying to wrap my head around a New Yorker giving advice on western hats.
We don’t specialize non westerns, we sell way more fedoras, cap and dress hats.. but we do westerns too..
Any thoughts on the Stetson Skyline ? Big fan from Canada 🇨🇦
Thoughts on silverbelly vs black for a 30x felt cowboy hat?
Silver belly looks very dressy, and classical. Black looks very cool too though, think about what u wear them with, how they’ll match up.
Also, most folks look better in a light or a dark hat, depending on their coloration..hair,complexion, eye color.. try some dark and light hats on, of any type..and see what u look better in.. many times guys w dark hair, dark eyes, look great in black. Silver belly is great but black is easier to maintain.
next time I am in NY I am swinging by!
What is the Gun Club Stetson made of?
Rabbit fur.
@@KTGHATS Excellent. Thank you!
History was carried out.
are jaxon hats any good
I’m not sure, I’m sorry I’ve never seen one in the thirty years I’m working at a hat shop
Great video. The Rancher is what Texas Rangers order, but in silver belly. Black is not allowed with the Rangers. They also use a Cattlemen by Resistol. Thanks.
American hat company is who provides hats for the Texas Rangers. They are made in Texas and you are correct on color.
Are you still there with new ownership?
Cool video I love the history on it.
Hey Kevin do you have a Stetson range 6X? 3” brim?
No,we carry both the rancher and the open road, in a few colors..so the range felt redundant.great hat,we just never carried it before
Ok thanks. I love your channel. Very informative and entertaining.
can u tell me what type of hat the character from c.o.d.warzone dday is wearing?
I can look at the models n try to nail it, if it's Stetson. It's a western straw with an oversized brim that the wearer curled himself, typical Stetson or Resistol western straw, but he modified the brim. Any straw western with a big brim and cattleman's crease will do, I can shape it that way for u. I'll try to look into it.

I wish Stetson made the 6X Open Road in natural. The Royal Deluxe is a little soft for me. It can be had in natural but not the 6X.
Send a pic to info@jjhatcenter.com write

What style hat are you wearing in the beginning of the video
Royal blue w the flat brim? It was made Custom for me in our workshop by Van, our hat maker.. full custom jobs are kinda expensive, $650 & up, but u can also have a hat reshaped in the workshop, way cheaper.. get a blue Ontario and our hatmaker can reshape the brim flat and crown open like that hat,the modifications would run under $100
Hope to make it here one day
