3 PSP games I had that I would definitely say were hidden gems would be a Diablo style game, 2 games actually. Untold Legends and Untold Legends Warriors Code. The first game grows on you once you get further and start to acquire new skills and better gear, the second is more action and a bit more simplistic in the upgrades but still just as fun. The second is a dungeon crawler called Dungeon Explorer Warriors of Ancient Arts. Weird name but multiple classes, lots of dungeons and gear to find, it gets really tough towards the end and I had to find a unique attack pattern on my warrior to progress but I still would recommend it. The last is another 2 games, a very well done FPS game called Coded Arms and Coded Arms Contagion. The worlds seem to be roguelike before the type of game was eatablished. You're basically cyber police and hack onto locations to fight your way through. I remember there being some cool story elements but it's been 15 years since I played it. I got all 3 game series out of bargain bins when the PSP was still new and I wager they are all still cheap games but definitely well worth your time.
I recently started playing Fate Extra CCC, the sequel for Fate Extra. The sequel didn't get an English release, but thanks to fans, it's now fully playable in English. 🎉
It’s awesome seeing that PSP Minis got some love here. Zenonia is one that always seemed neat, and NOVA is a very competent FPS on the handheld too. Nayuta looks really cool, and will need to check that out. Very cool picks and learned about more titles here!
These are basically my "JRPG's I missed out on, because they either never released, or were so limited I didn't even notice they existed" lists. Good stuff.
I see all of these different games. Good games, but, I haven't been seeing a specific game I used to play on the PSP. When I had first played it I was dumbfounded at how well it played for being so fast paced, and have so many sfxs. That game was Split-Second, on the PSP. From what I'm understanding it's an underrated game that needs to be looked at more. And maybe even be remastered. I know that may never happen but it's an amazing idea considering how well the earlier games were. ESPECIALLY ON A HANDHELD. Truly a hidden gem.
Great video - I like that the hidden games in this video are not hmm obvious titles which are no longer hidden gems ;) (because 100 other youtubers already mentioned them)
Zenonia looks pretty fun! Same with Mimana Iyar Chronicle. I have a soft spot for pixel ARPGs! I've had my eye on Nayuta as well! Was waiting for the remastered version. Fate/Extra I have some experience with. One of the few turn based games I actually like, combat worked well for what I would expect from the Fate series. I got stuck and haven't finished it though.
I never had a PSP when it came out. I recently got an emulator and have been looking to play some titles I missed out on. Currently playing through Crisis Core. Videos like this really help me choose games that I might overlook. Thanks!
I don't know if test drive unlimited it's a hidden gem but probably it's the psp game which I've most played! Over 200 hrs! It's fantastic! Real open world!
I'm a bit sad that Hexyz Force wasn't on here. I enjoyed the gameplay and replayed that game five times to get all of the endings. The hardest ending to get isn't excessively hard, and is rewarding. A great thing is the most annoying character does change and becomes much deeper and reflective, and you only have to play that side twice out of the five times.
I never finished Mana Khemia, but I'm listening to music from it to this day. I did finish Nayuta and it was pretty awesome by PSP standards. Both are rather long!
Ahh yes, Zenonia .. I remembered having that game in my Sony Ericson cellphone a long time ago .. Good game, better in the PSP .. Btw, AC Formula Front best AC game ~ 😁
Wow Zenonia caught me off guard. I remember playing this on my cellphone so many years ago. I could never remember the name but I'm glad it wasn't lost to time like I thought it was.

I actually played almost all of them. I miss Zenonia 2, it was the last decent game in the series before quality left the chat. I was thinking abiut Nayuta too as I used to play it on my psp during this time of the year. And Fate Extra took a lot of my time, I am stoked to play the CCC translation
A Gem you haven't covered yet: "Boxers Road 2: The Real" a Japanese excuslive Boxing simulator. IMO this is the best Boxing game ever made. Not just from it's insanely deep career mode, but also from the game play mechanics. I love it so much I'm currently working on an HD Texture replacement project.

It’s very cool and sweet to see Zenonia in the list or even mentioned in any video since it’s one of, if not, the most UNDERRATED and FORGOTTEN rpg series only because they were made for mobile. To me, Zenonia 4 is the best story wise. It’s actually the 2nd rpg game I’ve ever played, first was Inotia 4.
If there's a game "well 2 games" that i wished it got a full English translation for the PSP those has to be Wangan Midnight and Initial D. As cool as they look for a racing game it's a shame that it never got picked up for a translation.

There's a game called God of war, that's a great game! And I don't think many people know about it. Ok that was a bad joke, but seriously, on the PSP, I loved some NBA games, one was the NBA street and it was so damn fun, the other was NBA live 06, maybe 07, and in a hand-held, with the limitations, were super fun, and I don't even like regular basketball games.
Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi (@1:46). It's a series of Otome games? Judging from the game's visuals (6:17), it's full title is Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis (Mana Kemia ~Gakuen no Renkinjutsushi-tachi~, マナケミア ~学園の錬金術士たち~). The sixth game in the series. There's 21 main games in this franchise (Atelier, or Atorie Shirīzu, アトリエシリーズ). Naturally, Fate/EXTRA needs no introduction (FATE series).

If I were to make a small suggestion for your content; would you consider clarifying in some way during the video, whether auditorily or through some on screen text, if the game you are showcasing has a physical version and possibly what region(s) it is available in? I ask because I LOVE watching all of your videos including hidden gems, but when I go to see how much a game I might be interested costs online I'm often disappointed to find out it was only released digitally and/or only in a specific region. I'm not too big on digital media even if it's free since older consoles require modding to get digital stuff and I'd rather just pop a disc/cart into my console and let it go on its own. Region specific games can also appear to be a tad deceiving when you play them on your videos in English despite not having an official English release. This tends to happen a lot on your PSP focused videos. No offense of course since I still enjoy your content. It's a bit of a niche thing I know, but I'm sure others like myself care greatly about physical media when videos like this pop up so it would be highly appreciated. :)
