One of the most inspirational movies. Makes me want to go for a ride at 2:20 a.m. I wish the world would get active, again. We could have so much fun if people simply wanted to.
I love this movie and it was one of my dad's favorite movies. This movie was made in 1985 the year I was born. My dad died 10 years ago and everytime I watch this movie I think of him. I love you Dad!
Man me, my brother in law and my nephew! Used to love watching this movie! And after that we would go riding our racing bikes for hours! At the time we lived in Chicago, we would ride from the south side 81st and southwest highway all the way to lakeshore drive, down to Lincoln park and back, take Archer avenue to western avenue head south back home! By then it would be an all day ride. We also used to ride all the way to Brookfield zoo, through them trails. And go from there all the way to Joliet Illinois. Boy those were the best times and memories we had! My bike was a Raleigh Racing USA, my brother in law’s bike was a Specialized and my nephew’s a top of the line made in the USA racing Shwinn. Now I’m so old and out of shape that I can’t even get on one!🥹 great movie 🎥 Remember kids! Stay fit and in shape, because when you least expect it, times flys and you’ll get old and all you will have is memories!
alltime classic im 41 now and remember a whole bunch of us joined a local cyclying club after watchin this ,happy days indeed ,just listening to this makes me want to get my old bike out the shed again ,damm it i am off for a cycle rite now. thanx a million for posting dude. all the best jon from aberdeen.
Love this movie. My parents were big into cycling back in 1985. This movie really brings back the feel of that time, posative and upbeat! The 80's were the Best!
I saw this film in my early years and loved it then. I love it even more now. Thank you for making a film that holds our hearts and soul's even till this day. It holds it's standing alongst Highlander & Bladerunner & the rest. Thank you.
As a youth, I fancied myself a bicycle racer (I competed in a handful of citizen's races). But I was and still am an avid cyclist. This movie came out around the time I was just getting into racing and I have many happy memories of watching and re-watching and re-re-watching this movie.
The ending of the movie is almost prophetic. The 1989 Tour de France ended in a similar fashion. To this day, that final time trial is the most exciting sporting event that I've ever seen. I'll always remember how excitied I was when the seconds were ticking away and Laurent Fignon was coming down the Champs Elysees, and was clearly not going to finish in time...
Yeah, it's been digitized & is available for purchase & instant download thru Amazon's video on demand; you can rent or purchase it. Great motivator for the Boulevard Lake Front Tour in August!
@@PistachioFilmsLLC agree, the first time I watched this film as a kid and seen it numerous of time's over the years, everytime I watch it made me want to get on a bike, such an uplifting film! Also great soundtrack which I'm listening to as I write this. I'm going to buy a bike tomorrow! 😂
great song and a great movie and both these got me into the sport of cycling until I ended up with cancer which is now preventing me even enjoying a bike ride
Such a great movie and every time i watch it just makes me want get out thier and ride and yes they really had a race like this although it was could the coors 500 back then the race started in golden Colorado
@greatmomentssports yeah this is a tight movie & slept on I watched it a bunch of times from 87 - 90 when I was 7 - 10 years old & just remembered about it
Great song, Super Great movie! If the voice of the singer sounds familiar it's because Glen was the lead singer for The little River Band. LRB, man those guys were MINT!
i love this film and road cycling, i watched it yesterday and it made me really want to go cyclign the nest day, i went out on a century ride and on the first 20 miles i had a huge crash on a desent and no im off cyclign for 6 weeks du to a broken wrist :P
I'm a complete mug; I bought a subscription to Rhapsody, downloaded the software, and nothing. Yahoo Music says the soundtrack is available to download from Rhapsody, but Rhapsody says they've never heard of it. The soundtrack is occasionally available on cassette tape or vinyl on eBay, but I don't have the equipment to translate it into a digital format, so I'm SOL. Good luck with your search; it really is an excellent soundtrack.
Agreed. the soundtrack were excellent! reminds me of watching Tou de France on ABC Wide World of Sports in the 80's.. really love those days when drugs/steroids/epo were NOT the main topic in cycling. And the 7-eleven team, of course!!!
@badgernation74 Sure glad I'm not the only one who remembers this and how that TdF finish between Fignon and LeMond and this movie really got me into cycling as it did...really funny how things play out, but I'm not sorry it did...opened my eyes up to cycling for sure...this movie was one of the first I ever saw Kevin Costner in too...great movie for sure...and you don't have to ride to love it either! :-)
What is it about bike movies and The Little River Band Glenn Shorrock - American Flyers Soundtrack John Farnham - Rad Soundtrack What a coincidence. The 80s were unbelievable.
Nice to watch this feel good movie when today all you here about in cycling is the corruption, doping, lies and coverups. Not to say it wasn't around back then.
Caught this on Vs. last night. It's funny that the ending of this movie seems so Hollywood, but it actually happened at the Tour de France a few years AFTER this movie came out. Greg LeMond beat Laurent Fignon by a few seconds on the last day. Think it was a time trial, not head to head, but I remember the clock ticking down and Fignon lunging toward the line...
GOOD the 1990's were inspired by this movie; American Flyers and Ski School classic; as the new Borg and McEnroe movie coming out ; Kostner and Alexandra Paul of lifeguard fame here skyrocketed many Hollywood personalities EXCELLENT "springboard" to next spring; like Eddie the Eagle
Filmaço sem sombra de dúvidas! Faz muito tempo que não vejo - alguém não poderia fornecer o áudio para Remasterização ? Acho que todos aqui gostariam de rever dublado e remasterizado! UP ai essa song é foda!
amigos quisiera ver esta pelicula completa en español porq es emotiva y a mi en especial me hace sentir bien porq me llena el espiritu y lo q quiero hacer lo consigo gracias
@Sonoali Kevin Costner was the corpse in 'The Big Chill'. Unfortunately he ended up on the cutting room floor. He did have a small part in 'Night Shift' as one of the fraternity brothers partying in the morgue.
TRULY this movie is about the "Metiscre Nescit Res Firma" just before he exits Cooper Clinic while drinking Muscle Milk. $ ! $ ! it IS a classic; so are Airplane and Dan AKROYD movies.
One of the most inspirational movies. Makes me want to go for a ride at 2:20 a.m. I wish the world would get active, again. We could have so much fun if people simply wanted to.

Great movie. I love the scene at the end where they all hugged, made peace, and became a family again.
alltime classic im 41 now and remember a whole bunch of us joined a local cyclying club after watchin this ,happy days indeed ,just listening to this makes me want to get my old bike out the shed again ,damm it i am off for a cycle rite now. thanx a million for posting dude.

I started Cycling because of this film.. It was one of my great inspirations..
I've loved Glenn Shorrock's voice since the '70s and this song has a classic "summer" sound to me.
Love this song!! Embodies the American Dream!
A fragile thing, long may it reign.
Loved this movie and this song.
Buenos recuerdos, esta pelicula me engancho en el ciclismo en los 80's, saludos a los todos los veteranos de la rodada.
I saw this film in my early years and loved it then. I love it even more now. Thank you for making a film that holds our hearts and soul's even till this day. It holds it's standing alongst Highlander & Bladerunner & the rest. Thank you.
Excalibur and American Flyers were my favorite movies as a kid!. AWE ...someness!
What about vision Quest
love this movie seen as a kid and own it now. inspires me to get out and ride every time!
The best. Even though the 80's were movies people put their life into them and we felt it on our own life. Thank you I lived in the 80's
Costner has a Legendary Moustache in this movie. Legendary
The 80s best time to be alive!

Gawd, I watched this movie over and over again when I first took up cycling in '04.
Same here back in 1988!! First bike at 16yo!! I couldn't wait to clip in, grab my bars and HAUL ASS outta town!!
Thank you. This song and the related movie are part of my young times of bike. I've lost the count of how many times I watched the movie.
Awesome !! Glenn was the original and truly wonderful lead singer of the Little River band.
This is my favorite movie from my childhood, great work, only for serious runners so thumbs up! cheers
This song, this movie.....i love so much. they are the best. i really can't thank you enough for posting it.

oh man, I love this movie and have seen it too many times! Wheelsucker!
Great video...Great Movie too it got me in to the sport and i still love it now some 25 years later....
Im a competitive amateur road cyclist and this is one of my favorite movies. You did an awesome job creating this film short.
'Nice job on the 'music video.' 'Captures the movie's spirit, without giving away the heart-wrenching plot twist toward the end of the movie.
Just saw this movie by COMPLETE ACCIDENT and LOVED it! Kevin Costner was such a super hottie!! They don't make movies like this nowadays!!
reminds me how sad i am i was born in the 90's. still, what a wonderful cycling movie, God knows we don't have enough of those.
Yeah, it's been digitized & is available for purchase & instant download thru Amazon's video on demand; you can rent or purchase it. Great motivator for the Boulevard Lake Front Tour in August!
i recently picked up the shaversport jersey worn in this movie, favourite movie of my youth! completely responsible for getting me in to cycling!
Thank You for that movie....I am cycling again...so great i just love it!:D
This movie is a classic
Amazing song ! Amazing movie!
This movie made want to learn how to ride the bike. Truly a classic.
makes me want to get back to riding again now
@@PistachioFilmsLLC agree, the first time I watched this film as a kid and seen it numerous of time's over the years, everytime I watch it made me want to get on a bike, such an uplifting film! Also great soundtrack which I'm listening to as I write this. I'm going to buy a bike tomorrow! 😂
LOVE THIS SO MUCH, INCREDIBLE MEMORIES!!!!
Glen Shorrock is one of my favourite singers. His best song (for me anyway) which he sang with Little River Band might be Cool Change.
I have a similar Allez SE but in blue from the 80's when Jim Merz was helping with designing...
This song helped me to train for my London to Paris bike ride, perfect song to pedal too
great video. brought back some memories.
I remember going to a little store in Glendale Heights to pick up a pair of gloves like they had.
As long we are breathing we still have hope❤
Love Glenn's voice!!! Great song!!!
Amazing cycling and Alexandra Paul before Baywatch. Greatest Movie not named Top Gun.
The Top Gun of two wheels!
Great edit! I wish they still made movies like this.
Que recuerdos maravillosos tenía como 8años muy buena película
what a superb song.
great song and a great movie and both these got me into the sport of cycling until I ended up with cancer which is now preventing me even enjoying a bike ride
Great movie
“Like dogs, bicycles are social catalysts that attract a superior category of people.”
Such a great movie and every time i watch it just makes me want get out thier and ride and yes they really had a race like this although it was could the coors 500 back then the race started in golden Colorado
Great Movie and Song
I know it's a movie about bikes but that's just the undertone, it's about a brother's love.
Watched this on video in 1985, sad film

Seriously, I really needed this.
I love this movie and it also made me bike more serious. Thanks!
Love this movie, one of the 1st Kevin Costner movies I saw. Just got the soundtrack, love it!
Great song, Super Great movie! If the voice of the singer sounds familiar it's because Glen was the lead singer for The little River Band. LRB, man those guys were MINT!
Miss the 80's....😢
That song reminds me of the late Jimi Jamison, lead singer of Survivor!!!

Amazing song, so inspiring.

this is a TOP 5 movie for me . . . too bad this couldnt be transferred to blu-ray.
