Awesome! I hope The Vance and hines holds up. Their exhaust for the Navi keeps snapping. But that could be their Navi design. Ride safe brother! And thanks for the comment!
Congrats on the bike! I just got the same exact one a few weeks ago, but haven’t got my license yet so it has sat. Your video gets me pumped to ride it!
Congrats as well! It’s an awesome bike! The torque really surprises me. I can feel the front end lifting up when I really get on it. You are gonna love the way it rides. Be careful and ride safe!
I 100 percent agree. The only thing I have changed is the mirrors. I went with ones that are less round. More like a pill shape. The only other thing I want to do is the exhaust and possibly forward controls instead of mid controls.
Ohh and I put a diablo muffler on mine! Really thick and nice from ebay I believe under a 100 bucks if you want pic I could send later today.. could you please send me your email I'm having difficulty getting you these images
Yes please! Might be better than what I was looking at. And the price is right…Lol. Thanks for the comments and drop a link if you want to. I think I have links enabled in the comments.

I agree. Check out some of my later videos where I swap the exhaust out for a 70 dollar Amazon job. It’s way better! Best 70 bucks I spent. And in my opinion it looks way better that what came on it. Thanks for the comment!
Hey "5-0", that "baloney tube" needs to be "gone" before it even left the show room floor! The Musarri ® slip-on exhaust with the sport bafflel is great, not obnoxious at all! From Australia.👍😁🎉❤️🏍️ Doug
Cheers mate! I agree that Honda needed something better. The thing weights like 8 pounds as well. I ended up going with a cheap slip on from Amazon that sounds pretty decent, but I'll check out your recommendation! Thanks for the comment!
Man, I just wanna say: amazing choice and amazing video!! O.O I'm gonna buy my Rebel500 this same summer!! I'm in love with this motorbyke, it's awesome! I tested once before here in Barcelona, and I definitely will buy it. Thank you soo sooo much for sharing your first ride, your first test! I'll do exactly the same!! =DD Thank you master!
Thanks brother! I appreciate the kind words. I’m really excited to explore all this bike has to offer. I loved riding my 2022 grom home the first day. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to get the whole experience on video. I’m planning to do a few mods as it gets warmer so stay tuned! Good luck and ride safe brother.
@@icemanfiveoh Thank you so much for your answer bro! And your kind words also!! =D Please! give us feedback about what mods and what objects do you install or modificate in your Rebel, what customization you do =DD I'm looking for new ideas. I would love to add a tachometer, i think it's pretty important having one. Also, a 12v charger. And I would like to know your feelings with the height of the handlebars! =) So, we keep in touch, ride safe brother, and we'll see us in the road! ✌🙏
@@Taylorwithoutme I will def post some videos on the mods I do. A tach would be nice. As far as the handlebars go, I was actually thinking about trying to tip them back a little. I’m 5’9” and I feel like they could come back a little. I have some friends that are at least 6’ and they def seem to have an easier time reaching the bars. The one thing I love is the seat height is about 27” off the deck. It’s about 3” lower than my grom. The flatter my feet are on the ground the more confident I feel. Confidence is a big thing when you ride. Overall, this bike fits me really well. I sat on one at a bike show around 2017-18 and I fell in love with it instantly. It fit like a glove. I’m thinking about changing the exhaust in a week or 2. I found a 100 dollar exhaust on Amazon so I’m def going to test that out. Thanks again for tuning in!
About to get my very first one and finally decided on the 2023 rebel 500, just got to wait 2 more weeks to get my cert for cheaper insurance. I live in southern IL and I have seen a few places listing them new. Nice they delivered it to you and it the sound and look looks amazing. Keep hearing how it's pretty good as a starter that you can grow into and not need to trade out for something with more power after 6 months.
This is a bike I wouldn't get rid of. Super fun, plenty of power and pretty comfortable. I think you will really like it. I'm really happy with my purchase. Once you get it, let me know what you think. Be safe out there!
cool, 1 mile. i ride a 2019 rebel 500. i love it. had it now for 2 years. i am going to get a bigger bike, either the Fury or rebel 1100. i really want a fury, but i would take an 1100 if it's not dct. enjoy your rebel, it's a great bike!!
Thanks brother! I’ve got quite a bit more miles on it now and it’s still a great bike. I wouldn’t mind getting an 1100 if it was a manual as well. Ride safe!
I am 66 and ride a KLR-650. The seat height on this bike is 34.2 inche's. I am about 5'9". Been thinking of trading my bike for a Rebel 500. Love my KLR, only has a little over 4000 miles on it, this is a 2012 model, runs Great. The Honda Rebel has some pretty cool aftermarket product's available. Love your new ride my man! Ride safe, and W.F.O.😎
Wow. That’s a tall bike. I guess I’m shorter in the legs. I wear a 29-30” inseam pant so my feet would be dangling on that bike…Lol. I think you would really enjoy it. It doesn’t have a tach but I never really use it anyways. I ride by sound and shift. Plus this isn’t a crotch rocket and I’m not trying to go 135. I’ll save that for my hemi shaker…To me, this bike has quite a bit of torque and it really scoots down the road. And I really like how it’s all blacked out. And it was relatively inexpensive. 8k for something like this is a good value. Plus it’s a Honda, so the motor should last forever….thanks for the comment and taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment. Stay safe out there brother!
You are gonna buy one… This bike is amazing and has a ton of torque. Just know it doesn’t have a tach. You don’t really need it if you ride by engine sound anyways.
Yes I did. My son bought his 2022 Navi there last year and they were pretty nice so I went back. They are much better than fox valley cycles which is where I got my 22 grom.
I bought my 2007 Ruckus from them when they were Des Plaines Honda. Now my Ruckus has over 30,000 miles on it and runs great. I have all my Ruckus maintenance done by them. Now they're DSP Honda Of Barrington.
Congrats on your new ride. Been looking at one for awhile now for my wife. I'm 68 and have been riding for 50 years. Currently on a '13 CB1100. I gotta say, though, I was a bit surprised by someone buying a bike and not knowing that a) it has a digital gear indicator and b) it is a 6-speed. Umm. Leave the muffler alone. It's awesome as is. Ditch the bar-end mirrors (I saw them on your Navi... .what????). Just enjoy the beauty of the bike as is. And yeah, styling is subjective, I get it. But enjoy it for awhile before you worry about messing with the thousands of hours Honda designers put into its gorgeous design.
I appreciate the comments! I thought it was a 5 speed...And I was pleasantly surprised it had a gear indicator. I love it on my Grom as well. I'm used to riding vintage bikes with 5 gears and no indicator other than Neutral. Anything more than that is a bonus. As far as mirrors and exhaust, if they made stuff like they did in the 60's and 70's I would leave it alone. The stuff now is cheap and generic looking. I know some people are purists, and I respect that. But I also love modding stuff. Don't worry, I have all the OEM parts safely stored away. I try not to mod things that can't easily be reverted. Also, the Navi is my son's bike. These mini motos are a ton of fun to trick out and be unique.
trying to get into riding and i think i found the one i want because of you plus it looks smooth to ride i just need something to get to work in and have fun
Oh man, you will really love it! It’s got enough power you won’t get bored of it, unless you are into crotch rockets. It’s a really capable in town-in-between town bike. Very smooth and balanced. I think you won’t regret it.
I just sold my overweight under powered mint 750 Aero and considering the Rebel 500. My fave of all time was an 80s model CM400T, bought it in college... My dream has always been a bike that can easily cruise at 80mph, solid, heavy but plenty of hp, motor loafing. No desire for speed(2cycle speedsters, rocket bikes/crotch rockets). My 400 didn’t loaf, it screamed, pegged/wide open at 85mph(pegged) only once, whilst drunk, motor ungoverrned . It was perfect for me, fit, finish even the color scheme, brg(green). I loved but sold it in prime condition and would pay triple if i could find new. Honda no longer inventories their bikes due to storm losses. My 750 weighed 100lbs more than the Rebel and shaft as opposed to chain. Shaft is heavy , pickup like an auto trans American car. Chain is direct and immediate , and weighs much less. The smaller bike has a better weight to power ratio and actually has more bhp than the 750. Smaller/lighter bike with more hp, exactly what im looking for. If you change exhaust consider the 2 brothers slip on, no need for recomputerising electronic ignition, s ( as i understan, but im no expert), and sound good. A 500cc engine isnt going to give you the beautiful sound of a well tuned V cyl Harley but is costing maybe a third buckwise, and anyway big heavy bikes are for a particular type of rider, imo. Which i am not (yet), long distance cruisers. Best of luck, drive carefully and always gear up! Im right behind you❤ 17:03
LOL. Good advice on the 2 brothers slip on-I'll check them out. And being a parallel twin, I already knew it didn't sound like a V twin. I really like the sound of this bike. And 400 Lbs is a perfect weight for me. I wouldn't want to ride anything heavier than this. This bike has a lot of torque, IMHO. I didn't know there was anyone else that watches my channel here in Batavia... Besides my 2 neighbors. Thanks for the comment, and maybe you will see me again riding around town...
Delivery dude seems like a Douch. LOL. Congrats! Going to bike school Tuesday! Can't Wait! This is my first choice, the 500, but thinking about 1100 as well. The 500 SE will most likely win out. How do you like it do far?
I love his bike! The low seating height, power and maneuverability make this awesome. The 500 is a great choice. For me the cost was a big issue. Plus the 1100 was only available in DCT. Which means “automatic”. I don’t think you would be disappointed. The price is decent for what you get and it’s a great cruiser. Let me know what you get and how you like it! Ride safe!
It is still 100% amazing! It fits like a glove and handles like a dream...If you get one you won't regret it. I still forget there are 6 gears, it just keeps pulling and pulling....The only thing it really needs is an exhaust. And get rid of the big mirrors for smaller ones, which I did. Congrats on the Lic and let me know if you buy one!
I know right? Home delivery is an awesome idea, but they need some more friendly people delivering bikes. The killing part is as soon as the camera went off dude was a chatterbox. Finally I had to tell him I had to go to work… thanks for the comment!
I really like it! The only thing it doesn't have is a tach...Not that big a deal as I normally ride by engine sound/RPM anyways. Also, I'm hoping that the screen is brighter during the day. I went and adjusted it so I will see the next time I ride it. It's plenty bright at night but it almost seemed like it was at max brightness. Ehh, who cares about what speed you are going anyways...LOL. I'm already looking at exhausts too. There are some 100 dollar ones on amazon, but i also like the Vance and Hines. Looks like I might just go with a slip on for now seeing as full exhausts are around 600.
Loved the video, how casual and relaxed it was! Makes me really excited to ride a rebel 500 one day as well (hoping within a decade or so 😝) Also gotta say the roads look very nice to ride on (flat, wide, and open), unlike the ones in LA hahaha. May I ask where you are in the US?
Thanks brother. I live 50 miles west of Chicago in the Fox River Valley. Batavia is a small town (about 20K) in-between Elgin and Aurora. 10 minutes west of me it's all cornfields. The roads are pretty nice out here. I appreciate the comment and if you do end up getting one I think you would like it.
Nice. That sounds like a good deal for the warranty… You are gonna love this bike. It’s got plenty of power for what it is. I thought I would do a bunch of mods but honestly it’s pretty decent as is. I swapped my mirrors (I don’t like the big round ones) and not really much else. I considered a cargo rack on the rear fender but I might go with a bag up front. The only thing else I might swap would be forward controls for comfort although the mid controls are not bad. Congrats and ride safe!
I saw that the 1100 have problems so I just got the honda warranty just in case, a little over 100 bucks a year not to worry about anything@@icemanfiveoh
thanks for the video only one that shows that gear #s have jagged lines through the middle my new 500 gears feel rough thought i was having failure dealer told me normal in break in period of course i haven't ridden in 25 years since my 90s 250 rebel
Nice video. Only suggestion would be to look into the lens rather than looking at your image. That way it'll connect with the audience a little more. But either way great video! Thanks for the content!
Thanks for the suggestion. It’s something I am conscience of. It’s hard when using a cell phone. At least for me. Cameras are a little easier to focus on the lens. Plus it does help when I have someone filming me instead of doing it myself. I’ve gotten a lot better over the last few years being on camera. I remember when I first started, I was so nervous. Now I’m just used to it and I can be more myself. I enjoy myself a lot more and my actual personality comes out. I’m much more funny in person…Lol. At least I think so. Plus watching guys like Derek from vice grip garage have really helped me own my “character”. Thanks for the constructive comments I really appreciate it.
@@PeterV that means a lot. I watch a lot of TH-camrs that don’t have a lot of personality. One thing I decided from the beginning was just to be myself. My hope is that people enjoy my sense of humor and learn something at the same time. And if they don’t, that’s ok too. I make the videos for my children to look back someday so they have something to remember me by. My family were never big on recording family stuff so I wanted to make sure that my kids have something. Thanks again for the comments!
Picking mine up next week. Any advice on breaking in? Haven't owned a new bike in over 10 years. I don't want to go too hard on a new engine but I don't know what "too hard" is! Nice vid btw.
Honestly, I just tried not to redline it for the first few hundred miles. And the next thing I would do is change the oil between 600 and a thousand miles... These Honda engines seem pretty robust, so I'm not too worried. You are going to love it! I really like the sound of it with the Amazon exhaust I bought. I did a video on installing it a little while ago... The only things I have changed are the mirrors and exhaust, and I don't think I'm going to change anything else. I'm pretty happy with the rest of the design of the bike. Congrats and thanks for the comment! Ride safe!
Nice bike....thinking of getting one also. Is the seat height lower than the Grom? I need a low seat bike. Do you know if it comes with automatic transmission? Congrats on your purchase.
The seat height is like 28 inches. It’s a few inches lower than the grom. I have the rebel and the grom. The rebels seat is much more comfortable. The rebel 500 is manual only as well as the grom. Thanks for the comment!
I went back and watched it 3 times...I'm not sure what that noise was but the clutch has never clicked for me. It's super smooth. Thanks for the comment! And now making me paranoid...LOL
It is pretty comfortable. Between small to medium cities, yes. If you wanted to go to where I'm from to Chicago, maybe not. If I thought I would go there, the 1100 would probably be better. I wouldn't take this on the tollway/expressway.
I paid 8k. I put 4K down, and my payment is 100 bucks a month for 60 months. The low payment was the most important part for me. I could have done 36 but I didn’t want a l other large vehicle payment. I’ve got about another year on my car and I can’t wait for that to be done. Thanks for the comment!
I am 165 pounds , beginner . Do you think this would be the bike for me ? I considered the 883 sportster , or yamaha bolt ? What do you think ? If all goes well , I might be buying one next year , by that time you will be switching to a 1100 ! Yes , dont get me wrong . You seem like a pro , just brake it in properly, first oil change after 500 miles or 400 , and the bike will be as good as gold ! This will extend the lifetime of the motor by at least 40-50 % , trust me. If u ever wish to upgrade just contact me in about a year.
Have you ever ridden before at all? If not, this bike is a little big to start on. If you know how to use the clutch in a car or a bike I think you would be ok. Otherwise, a grom might be a better start. The rebel has 47hp- which is 5 times more power than a grom. It also Weighs 400 lbs as compared to 230 lbs on the grom. But if you already know the basics this is a great starter bike. It’s really smooth, the clutch is very nice and it has plenty of power to get you pretty much anywhere. Out the door this bike costs about 8300 dollars, taxes and everything. You won’t be disappointed with the power or the torque for its size. It’s no liter bike but super comfy to cruise on. Let me know what your skill level is and keep me updated on what you pick. Good luck and ride safe!
@@icemanfiveoh My skill level is a beginner. The last bike i rode was back in Poland when I was about 12 yrs old , in 1994 , anyway , it had 3 gears and 21 HP !
@@icemanfiveoh Thank you 4 responding , the bikes today are a world apart from the early 1990s. It is difficult to find a person like your self to ask questions and get an honest answer. The 883s went up in price like the saturn 5 rocket !!! A sport bike ,or aka crotch rocket , even a 600 , not for me. I prefer what you own and I think it was a perfect choice , an intelligent person needs no more.
Ok. So you know how to ride! You would really like this bike. 6 gears and it’s a blast in each one. I’ve had my 22 grom for about 2 years and I have taken decent care of it. I’ve done at least 3 oil changes in about 2500 miles. I try and change the oil at least 2 times a year, spring and fall. I also ride in the winter so it doesn’t sit too long. This one is my baby. I beat on the grom for sure, but it was so cheap. I think these Hondas can take some mild abuse but I’m def going to take it easy in this one. With more power you don’t have to redline it everywhere.
Thanks brother! A few things i already noticed: exhaust has to go, i think i want the forward controls setup and i want bar end mirrors. Besides that it really is a great bike. I can't wait to get a longer ride in and really see what it can do...
@@icemanfiveoh oh okay👍🏼 I already changed the sissy bar on my Rebel S. Here in Germany🇩🇪 it's not so easy with a different exhaust, the police👮♂️🚓 always have something against it! I drove a Grom Msx 125 before, i bought the Rebel 500S.
@@Rokle68dinrider cool. Here the cops don’t really say anything about motorcycle exhaust unless you are running a straight pipe. Here in Illinois, we don’t have emissions testing on motorcycles so you don’t have to worry about passing any kind of inspections. It’s a different story in California. They don’t allow any mods on cars or bikes there…
Not at all. I'm 5'9" and it's perfect. The only thing I'm considering are forward controls. You gotta go to the dealer and sit on one. Better yet, test ride one if you can. I think you would fall in love with it. I did at the Chicago motorcycle Show....DO IT!
@@icemanfiveoh thanks for the video ! I currently have a Triumph Street Triple 765 Rs ! But still have a soft spot for The Rebel ! Great bike all around still
I agree! I saw this bike when it first came out at the bike show in Chicago years ago and fell in love with it. The seat height is perfect for me. So much power for 500cc's. Every time I get on it I can feel the front end lift up. I think I could probably do a wheelie...Not that I want to but it def puts a smile on my face. It was money well spent. And I still get 60 MPG. My Grom gets 100 MPG but this bike is a ripper!
Thanks for the comment! 65 is no problem. I've gotten mine up to 82, but it was pushing it. I think for long trips there could be better choices like the 1100. But I use mine to go in between towns at higher speeds for a short period of time. I could only go so far on my Grom which has a top end of about 55 max. This is much safer than the Grom in those situations. The 500 can pull away from most cars without an issue, up to about 80. I hope I explained my experience with it well...
@@icemanfiveoh thanks for the info. I’m thinking of getting it for my commute which is 40 miles to and fro and it’s going to be mostly highway. So it seems this might work for me. Thanks again and subbed.
Thinking about getting myself one. Debating on 500 vs 1100. Not sure yet, seems there's more 500s out there. Great job on the video, we share your excitement. Have fun and be safe.
The 1100 would be awesome. I didn't get one because they only had the DCT ones at the time. But the 500 is plenty fast and a lot of fun... Thanks for the comment!
I know right? Pretty rough. A heave in the road bucked me off my son’s Navi last year and I busted myself up pretty good. Destroyed my ACL, fractured all sorts of bones in my right leg and then needed surgery. I have to be really careful around here. I don’t want a repeat event…. I try and avoid riding at night if possible around here. Thanks for the comment brother and stay safe if you ride!
I’m 5’9” and it fits me like a glove. The only thing I’m considering doing is adding forward controls. I think that being 4 inches taller than me is that you would not like the mid controls. But I think the seating and bar placement would be fine. The forward control kits are about 200-350 dollars, so not super expensive. I used to ride a Harley 883 sportster and I liked the forward controls. It def was an easy cruising bike. So, I think it would be a great bike for you if you switched to forward controls. The biggest thing would be to go sit On one and see. Thanks for the comment!
Honda makes some good rides. Whatever you pick, you will love. The Kawasaki's and the Yamaha's are nice too. With pretty much any Jap bike, you can't go wrong. Good luck!

I would say yes. It’s not crazy horsepower and it handles really well. And it has enough oomph to go highway speeds. It’s really balanced. I 100 percent agree. The only thing I have changed is the mirrors. I went with ones that are less round. More like a pill shape. The only other thing I want to do is the exhaust and possibly forward controls instead of mid controls.
@@icemanfiveoh good for you it's really a extra high quality bike that's going to outlast us both! These bikes are dependable and won't fail you!!

Lol. Or, He could call his channel "night of the living dead"... Thanks for the comment!
I'm falling in love with this bike but the sound of the original exhaust like a sewing machine
I'm gonna buy my Rebel500 this same summer!!
Please! give us feedback about what mods and what objects do you install or modificate in your Rebel, what customization you do =DD I'm looking for new ideas. I would love to add a tachometer, i think it's pretty important having one. Also, a 12v charger. And I would like to know your feelings with the height of the handlebars! =)
So, we keep in touch, ride safe brother, and we'll see us in the road!
Congrats on your brand new beauty ! I can only imagine how u felt when YOUR Bike arrived !

Grants on the new bike. I just got a new hornet. Enjoy
Thanks I appreciate it!
cool, 1 mile. i ride a 2019 rebel 500. i love it. had it now for 2 years. i am going to get a bigger bike, either the Fury or rebel 1100. i really want a fury, but i would take an 1100 if it's not dct. enjoy your rebel, it's a great bike!!

You got your Rebel 500 from DSP Honda. Awesome. I bought my Ruckus when they were Des Plaines Honda.
Yes I did. My son bought his 2022 Navi there last year and they were pretty nice so I went back. They are much better than fox valley cycles which is where I got my 22 grom.
I know the delivery driver. His name is Chris.
I bought my 2007 Ruckus from them when they were Des Plaines Honda. Now my Ruckus has over 30,000 miles on it and runs great. I have all my Ruckus maintenance done by them. Now they're DSP Honda Of Barrington.

That's Chris that delivered your Rebel 500. I know the guys at DSP Honda.
I know exactly how you feel eventhough i rode mine home straight off the showroom floor.
Cheers.
Thanks for the comment and ride safe!
I have the '19 version and I love it no regrets it's very reliable, but dude the update model looks sick. Nice buy bro
Thanks brother! It's an awesome bike. I have no regrets buying it! Ride safe!
trying to get into riding and i think i found the one i want because of you plus it looks smooth to ride i just need something to get to work in and have fun
Chain is direct and
immediate , and weighs much less.
Ride safe!
I've had a 2023 500 se for about a month and I love this bike as my 1st

What do you think of it after about a month?
It is still 100% amazing! It fits like a glove and handles like a dream...If you get one you won't regret it. I still forget there are 6 gears, it just keeps pulling and pulling....The only thing it really needs is an exhaust. And get rid of the big mirrors for smaller ones, which I did. Congrats on the Lic and let me know if you buy one!

Freaken awesome bro!!!!! Time to add to your custom 3D parts list. Be safe.
Congratulations on the new ride keep the rubber side down
That's the plan!

Loved the video, how casual and relaxed it was! Makes me really excited to ride a rebel 500 one day as well (hoping within a decade or so 😝)
Also gotta say the roads look very nice to ride on (flat, wide, and open), unlike the ones in LA hahaha. May I ask where you are in the US?
Thanks brother. I live 50 miles west of Chicago in the Fox River Valley. Batavia is a small town (about 20K) in-between Elgin and Aurora. 10 minutes west of me it's all cornfields. The roads are pretty nice out here. I appreciate the comment and if you do end up getting one I think you would like it.
nice man! I got a 2023 rebel 500 SE, I just got the extended warranty for 4 years for 490 bucks just in case
Congrats and ride safe!
yea I bought a cargo bag for the front, bad thing that I got one too small@@icemanfiveoh

@@icemanfiveoh it’s good to hear that you’ve come such a long way. Ur doing great! Seriously good stuff!
I went back and watched it 3 times...I'm not sure what that noise was but the clutch has never clicked for me. It's super smooth. Thanks for the comment! And now making me paranoid...LOL
6:29 Do you recommend the Honda Rebel 500cc for long travel between cities? Please answer, thank you
It is pretty comfortable. Between small to medium cities, yes. If you wanted to go to where I'm from to Chicago, maybe not. If I thought I would go there, the 1100 would probably be better. I wouldn't take this on the tollway/expressway.
What did you pay out the door for this sweet bike? Loving it! 😎 👌
You seem like a pro , just brake it in properly, first oil change after 500 miles or 400 , and
the bike will be as good as gold !
It also
Weighs 400 lbs as compared to 230 lbs on the grom.
The last bike i rode was back in Poland when I was about 12 yrs old , in 1994 ,
anyway , it had 3 gears and 21 HP !
@@icemanfiveoh Thank you 4 responding , the bikes today are a world apart from the early 1990s. It is difficult to find a person
like your self to ask questions and get an honest answer. The 883s went up in price like the saturn 5 rocket !!! A sport bike ,or
aka crotch rocket , even a 600 , not for me. I prefer what you own and I think it was a perfect choice , an intelligent person
needs no more.
@@icemanfiveoh Completly understood , I will look in to the Grom , what year is yours ? By the way , I live in Chicago ,You ?
Good choice🏍👍🏼✌️🍀
Thanks brother! A few things i already noticed: exhaust has to go, i think i want the forward controls setup and i want bar end mirrors. Besides that it really is a great bike. I can't wait to get a longer ride in and really see what it can do...
@@icemanfiveoh oh okay👍🏼
I already changed the sissy bar on my Rebel S.
They don’t allow any mods on cars or bikes there…
Nice bike! I don't like the 10 pound turd on my Rebel either. 😂
Why do they keep making them like that...
I was thinking abo it this bike for my first bike in the spring. Only thing that has me worried is I’m 5’10 might be a little too tall for it lol
Not at all. I'm 5'9" and it's perfect. The only thing I'm considering are forward controls. You gotta go to the dealer and sit on one. Better yet, test ride one if you can. I think you would fall in love with it. I did at the Chicago motorcycle Show....DO IT!
Will do! Appericate the feedback!

First bike I ever rode in My courses liked it but the lower back comfort is rough
I've put on over 250 miles and I think it's super comfortable. Zero back issues. It has a better ride than my Grom for sure. Thanks for the comment!
Nice.
Nice video.. btw what do u think of this bike on a highway (65-75 mph)?

Sweet ride dude but those roads yikes
I know right? Pretty rough. A heave in the road bucked me off my son’s Navi last year and I busted myself up pretty good. Destroyed my ACL, fractured all sorts of bones in my right leg and then needed surgery. I have to be really careful around here. I don’t want a repeat event…. I try and avoid riding at night if possible around here. Thanks for the comment brother and stay safe if you ride!
I am 6'1" do you think this bike is a good size or maybe too small? Thanks
The biggest thing would be to go sit
On one and see. Thanks for the comment!
@@icemanfiveoh thanks for the response. I think my best bet would be to just sit on a bunch of different models and see what fits best!
Honda makes some good rides. Whatever you pick, you will love. The Kawasaki's and the Yamaha's are nice too. With pretty much any Jap bike, you can't go wrong. Good luck!
How can i get delivered in india....please i have been waiting for this bike since 2021....
Wish I could help brother… I guess you are going to have to just keep waiting 😞
Brother do you have any idea when this bike will launch in India....instead of rebel 300, 500 they are lounching honda highness 350 and honda cb350....very upset with this....
@@Anantajamatia1503 it looks like Honda may not bring it at all to India. Here is an article I found that explains maybe why. I think the price point may be too high considering the 350’s and other available bikes. Sorry brother…

@@icemanfiveoh thank you so much brother for the info. I really appreciate...
Talk directly to Honda. If you have enough $$$ you can do almost anything, including delivery to your doorstep❤
looks like illinois
Yep. Batavia
If have the CB500X. Honda's little 500's the little motor that could and can,
If they use the same chain across the range, they are crap. Mine lasted about 20,000k
Ten pound turd😂 good one!
Lol. It is the ugliest muffler. Also, the Navi and Grom's exhaust are awful as well. I don't understand what Honda was thinking. If nothing else, they could have made it look better...
do the front sprocket change that helps.
Tell me more about this. What are people going to?
@@icemanfiveoh using a 16 tooth helps on highway and gives lower rpms so engine isn't screaming at highway speeds.
@@JohnBraman413 awesome! That sounds like a good upgrade. I’ll look into getting one and I can put it on and try it out. Thanks for the comment.
how much did it cost to get the bike shipped to your place?
It was free! the dealership was only about 20 miles away and they offered to bring it out to me. That really sealed the deal for me. DSP motorsports here in Illinois.
@@icemanfiveoh oh wow, that's so nice. dealerships in new jersey and new york are trying to sell these rebel 500's for about 9.1k. no free shipping ofc
@@dandanner8291 wow… mine was 8k and I put 4K down. I pay 100 bucks a month. Sounds like they are trying to cash in. I only live 20 miles from the dealership so I was prepared to ride it home but they offered to deliver. I said, how much? They then told me no charge and they set up a delivery date for like 3-4 days later. It was pretty sweet. We previously bought a 22 Navi cash there as well last year. Pretty good experience. I would shop around until you find a really good dealer. They are hurting for money right now…
I want one is this a good beginner bike?
I would say yes. It’s not crazy horsepower and it handles really well. And it has enough oomph to go highway speeds. It’s really balanced. And it only weighs about 400 lbs. it would be a great bike to start on. Also being fuel injected it does well in the cold if that’s your thing. Just hop on and ride! Thanks for the question brother.
I think this is the best beginner bike. You’ll outgrow the 300 quickly and the 500 has much better maneuvering. I have the 500 and absolutely love it.
I agree. The 300 would be a waste of time. I don’t think I would get rid of this bike.
Is the rpm available now in 2023 models?
No. There is no tach. It doesn’t really bother me as I ride by sound anyways.
@@icemanfiveoh makes sense. Hoping to get this bike this year🖤
@@remguiani1903 nice! I think you will love it. Plenty of power and well balanced. I really like this parallel twin engine.
@@icemanfiveoh *fingers crossed. Im planning to get that red dragon forward control kit at the same time.
@@remguiani1903 nice! I’ve been looking at one from a guy that makes them here in the USA. I don’t mind where the controls are at but I’m thinking that I might like them better more forward. I wish I could sit on a bike that has them before I buy one…
May I ask how tall are you?
I’m 5’9”. But my inseam is 29”. So I’m a little shorter in the leg. The seat height on this bike is about 27ish inches so it works out pretty good for me.
@8:50 I wouldn't hold the clutch that long...it's bad.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
I would of canceled delivery
Where the hell you work at a nuclear power plant?
Better, I work at a National Particle Collider Laboratory...Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, IL.....
