In my opinion, this novel is the epitome of peak psychological thriller. The thriller portion of this novel was GRIPPING as hell. However, it's not that great of a romance novel. Like, the romance part isn't as good as some other of hoovers novels. Also the ending........ Idk i just wished the novel ended in a more romantic setting rather than some messed up revenge scene from asa's perspective. That was a strange place to end the novel ngl
I love this one, probably more than a lot of people. I did feel angry and grossed out sometimes but I always had to know what happened next. It was even more stressful reading when she originally wrote it chapter by chapter on wattpad as a free side project years back. It wasn't intended to be published but fans wanted it published so she did, which she notes at the start (originally published under C. Hoover) I'm glad to own it in paperback! I remember when she added on the extra parts after I'd finished it a month or so before. That's why it didn't bother me - I was excited to get more and was glad to know Sloan could get a bit more peace.
I fully agree, Colleen Hoover should be a Thriller writer. I just finished Verity - thanks to your review on it - and OMG! Blown away! Im definitely picking up this book Too Late now. *side note* 10:21 Colleen has said the reason why this books structure is so messed is because she never intended on releasing it. It was just a side project for her whenever she ran into writes block. She kept adding to the story as she went. She decided to release the first few chapters because she had intrigue from some of her fans. And when she finally finished it and decided to release the completed book, she wanted to leave it how she wrote it.
oh this is a good one! I love the fact that coho wrote this almost like a thriller? I was on edge the whole time, so so good! it's one of my favorites with ugly love and verity, loooove them
I have the physical copy of the book and I’m reading it currently. Colleen explains why it was structured the way it is. It’s because this was on a website and it wasn’t suppose to be published but when she wrote the end she couldn’t help but carry on with the story as the viewers didn’t want the story to end. When this book was published she didn’t change anything it was just put straight into the book. Hopefully that makes sense but it explains why the ending is so strange.
I absolutely love this book. I finished it in about 4 days and that was because I wanted to stretch it out. I’m such a big fan of Verity and Layla. I agree 100% that Colleen Hoover absolutely excels at these types of books
Oh my god thank god finally someone is talking about it ! This book is amazing, kinda hard to read because of everything Sloan is going through but it’s a great thriller! The epilogue was 200 pages long !! I was like girl just put it in the story at this point 😂 but anyways this book is underrated and got so much potential
I loved this book so so much !! It had so much emotion & so much going on. It can be tough at times, but I definitely think this book is underrated & I looovedddd Carter😩
I loved this book! Every chapter had me on the edge of my seat. It was so intense. There were times I felt so bad for asa 😩 poor thing had an awful childhood. I do wish Colleen would have fixed the way the book was set up, But I still loved it!
Watched this review yesterday, started the book last night and couldn't put it in down. First I was like this is sounds like 21 jump street but boy was I wrong. Love your reviews and your books❤
Okayy,, i read this book recently and seriously hated it, it is my least fav from coho , the problem is that i could not find even a tiny bit chemistry b/w the main couple and the villain was also meh🥴 glad that u liked it❤
I agree. It was a great story. Kept you on the edge of your seat and loved the 3 point of views, but it went on for way too long! I actually couldn't finish the ending, because I was so over how gross and deranged Asa is. And the epilogue was so drawn out.
This book is a total thriller, I did feel sorry for Asa in how he fucked up his life was as a child it broke my heart for him how much he craved to be loved by someone, and he did love her in his own fucked up way but at the same time he was so fucked up himself that he would never be capable of being a stable rational man for her no matter how much he loved her. It might sound bad but I did cry for Asa at times even in the end.
The book is so damn perfect and an epitome of fiction but I've a lil disappointment about the adult contents....they are so detailed here .... I'm only 17 now ....😑🤌 And I complete reading it😷
Oh I loved this book!! I don't know why no one talks about it either 😅 it would make such a good thriller movie too!
fuck !!! fav book...
