It’s ridiculous the guy is a problem coming off the edge even when he is not getting sacks he is always getting pressure or blowing up running plays in the backfield
I find it hilarious how you guys only have 26k subscribers (somehow) but the number of views you have after uploading in the middle of the night 😂. Those that do watch get hooked and are hardcore. Keep on keepin on, great episode.
Good stuff fellas. I remember around this time last year when I stumbled on this show... I gotta be honest, my first impression was "Who the hell are these jabronis?" But I quickly realized you're not some pop shop youtubers, and that you know your stuff. For someone who doesn't pay attention to college ball enough, I love getting a grip for the draft through your shows.
I dont know how you can watch Mo Kamara's tape and not want your team to draft him. Honestly, there's a lot of those guys in this draft class for me. Also, I agree that these episodes are the absolute best. It's fun to hear your opinions on the lesser heralded prospedts, particularly the guys from smaller conference schools.
Hi guys ! Watching you from France ! As you probably know, there's not a huge football community here but we surely are passionate. I myself have a (very) small podcast in french where I talk about QBs in the league and invite whoever wants to come to talk, exchange ideas and point of views. There's a very good french website with a lot of podcasts and contents but... Man, since the Super Bowl, I miss football so much that it wasn't enough for me. So I found your podcast by chance, going around TH-cam. And I completely agree with what you said at the end of this video. It's been really fun to watch and it made me think about things that I hadn't gone through when I was evaluating prospects and making my own Big Board and mocks. So I just wanted to say thank you because I really enjoy what you do and it definitely helps me facing the lack of football in my life until September. Keep going !
Hey guys! Love the videos. This is my first year really diving into the draft and I'm loving it. Just one suggestion that would really help me out would be to put your round grade next to the player on the list. I know you guys mention it in your conversation but it would help to see those all on the board! Keep it up guys.
Elliss is very underrated as a pass rush imo. He’s Latu-lite. Both guys aren’t the best athletes, but they both win with fantastic hand usage and a great understanding of what works and why with power and finesse moves. Kneeland is similar to Trice in that they both win primarily with speed-to-power and running through OTs, but unlike Trice, Kneeland is well above 250 lbs with well above average arm length, and he also scored well in agility drills, which doesn’t really show up in his game right now, but is good to know he can tap into a bit more.
@@TampaBayTre I’m hoping my Lions Draft Ellis or Kneeland, that is unless Latu falls to pick 20 or even close to it. If that happens and I was Brad Holmes I’d trade up and give away a future second rounder to go get Latu. Having Latu, Reader, Alim and Hutch on the line would be nasty.
The funny thing about Harrell is they used to use him as a run defender for Ojabo when he struggled or they wanted to drop a guy into coverage. I think there’s a lot of untapped potential there.
I've been waiting for this video for AGES! Since the Ohio State boys decided to go back, I was terrified for my Bears. Idk who is available for pick 75. We FINALLY get to hear about Brandon Dorlus
Would be interesting to look at this year plus one or two at each position. If you are a NFL GM, you might add a "place holder" player with late round with your eye on an upgrade in out years. Especially since no team has 22 first round choices. Thanks for taking so long on edge. As a Rams fan, interesting to see players outside first few.
Dorlus is a lot like JPJ in that what should be a highly coveted quality in their position versatility can be misconstrued as no true speciality. But I truly believe both will be invaluable to whatever team drafts them because they can play so many different positions and techniques well. Are there better pass rushers than Dorlus? Of course, but can all of them like up inside or outside depending on the weakness of a defense? I doubt it. Are there better run stuffers? Of course, he’s not 6’ 350, but he’s shown solid hand fighting moves to blow up a line in run and pass sets. I think he’ll be a steal in round 3, just because the WR and tackle class is going to occupy such a large part of the first two rounds of the draft.
Love the video as always, you guys are the best at giving me a reference point of what to expect from these guys. Watching the draft this year is going to be so much more fun than previous years because of you guys. Trev you put Trice outside the top 10 so I want to ask a follow up. I understand the weirdness of his weight and combine testing, but I believe he had the most pressures this last year by a good amount. Do you think that due to weaker competition? Or was his technique phenomenal like Latu? I’m mostly curious how his traits compare to Latu who we love even though his athleticism isn’t ideal
Great question. I do think Trice feasted on and non-NFL level offensive tackles for all those pressures. Not to take anything away from his accomplishments, but the arm length was an issue for me when he tried to pull off rush moves that weren’t just a variation of speed-to-power. I also think he was aligned wider in the defensive front because he doesn’t have much bend. He won with a relentless style and running through people, and it’s very difficult to just run through OTs in the NFL
Hey guys, I've been thinking about summer scouting quite a bit and have a lot of questions, but I'll just ask this one. How do you guys approach it and find the players to be more specific I guess? Love the pod, you guys are easily the best in the biz and quite the entertaining duo!
I think there a really high chance that Mo Kamara is just a guy but if he gets paired with amazing coaches and they giude his insane effort level into the correct avenues he could be something.
For me it's #1 Verse, #2 Latu, and hot take #3 Isaac. Also can you guys do an updated WR and CB rankings? Like there's no way Tez Walker is still in your top 5 WR's...right?
@@warvath I know Isaac's testing was a little disappointing but from the clips I've seen, not claiming I've grinded the All 22 or anything, he seems almost as explosive off the ball as Chop and Turner but I thought he was more creative and instinctual with his moves. Tbh it's mostly a hunch with Isaac cuz it just looks right to me when I watch him
@@josephiousbrosifappreciate the response. Not saying your wrong. Think you're closer to the consensus than I am. I'm Just watch what I can find on YT lol. I agree he has some explosiveness, but I didn't see it lead to beating the tackle outside with speed, or speed to power rush very effectively. Think he's definitely a smart player and strong to hold up well for his size against the run. But seems undersized for that type of play style .
With the Kamara pick for Connor it makes me think about that meme of “what would you do if you were just giving a billion dollars” and Connor would go “billion dollar parlay”. That’s what Mo Kamara is to him 😂
Interesting to hear about Dallas Turner post-draft. I think the Atalanta Falcons took that into consideration when they took Michael Penix Jr at 8 overall. If you both are questioning why Turner is not better, and the Falcons, desperate for edge rush, passed on him, then he falls to 18, and the Vikings get criticized for trading up for him, then I think that tells us what we need to know.
Vikings fan here. I am concerned about Turner's recognition, tackling and run defense. Good pass rusher but needs more technique work to be great at the next level. Overall, needs A LOT more coaching and polish to warrant what the Vikings gave up for him. Hope the coaches can get him up to speed quickly.
I don’t know that Darius Robinson is a first round talent as a classic edge rusher. But if you’re telling me he is a big end and interior pass rusher, I think he’s a first round caliber talent. Testing will knock him out, but I think he’s guaranteed to be a good player. Could be wrong, but his tape is just outstanding, especially vs the run. Also was glad to see the Xavier Thomas love. I’d make a bet on him in the 3rd round.
Do you think harrel can be a guy that a defense moves him around from edge to off ball LB and just blitz him from a bunch of different alignments or he is just not strong enough
Trice might be a compiler, but that applies to Jonah Ellis as much as anyone else - he smoked Cal, Arizona State, and UCLA, all of which had terrible tackles. The rest of his season was just solid
Yo Trevor, in the draft guide, the rankings for Pressure 2 Sack for QBs have their rank flipped so the players with the lowest percentage have the lowest rank. Seems like a mistake.
