- In a recent adventure I was looking for a set of 16" dually rims. A seller approached me saying he had a set for $100 but they came with an entire motorhome that I had to take. Challenge accepted!! Turns out they were 16.5" by the way... So I figured I'd get it running and have a little fun with it first before I stripped all of the usable parts from it. Follow along on another Mortske Repair adventure!

I delivered natty lights in a college town I never understood it. I can always tell what kind of neighborhood a store was by If they sold a ton of Budweiser or if they sold a ton of natty light or bush ice. If they sell a lot of Busch ice in your neighborhood make sure you lock your doors

$100!? Sheesh I thought I did good on my $500 Winnebago BBC donor...This guy is a miracle worker with all the stuff he finds at those prices! Mad props!
We have a 73 Superior motorhome, 25 ft. 440 dodge. Onan gen set. All original in great shape. We bought it from the original owner in 1994. And have taken very good care of it.. Lifelong Southern California rig. No rust. Everything works great, both ac units on roof still work great too. The generator purrs like new. We still take trips with it almost every year. Very comfortable inside also. THAT ONE, aside from the obvious damage from the weather its had to endure. Has been totally trashed by bad owners. I'm sure it was very nice when new. But not worth fixing up, especially from a rust standpoint. I'm subbed to your channel, and enjoy following your projects! Thx

@@MortskeRepair I did both mine all by hand, something I wouldn't do again... Even using your method, they just have too much pastic and foam waste to make it worth it.
Some of it went to the dump but alot of it went up in black smoke form.... It will give ya a nasty headache for a few days, that's not a bright idea...

@@PatrickBaptist I bought this one looking for some wheels and then it snowballed. Eventually the entire chassis/drivetrain will live on underneath my 1953 Ford cabover. Just need to finish up the steering and brakes so I can shoot another video. I got a lot of great parts out of the deal and ended up with another project that I'd always wanted to do anyway. Plus I sold the generator for more than I paid for the entire thing! This video might be a little borderline. But we try to keep it PG around here! And thanks again. Always appreciate the comments and feedback.

that onan is, ok well was..... a really good generator.. well as long as that smell is not a mouse nest in the start stop box.. thats pretty common..
I got the Onan running on some ether and removed it and sold it for more than I paid for the motorhome! Don't worry! No generators were harmed in the making of this film!

A dimmer switch where it's supposed to be not on the turn signal where you flash your brights when you don't want to.
I bent the tube slightly on my Q-Jet carb, I didn’t know to use two wrenches. I was changing fuel filter.

@@MortskeRepair It came out fine but rewatching this made me wish you had grafted on an argosy trailer and built a better camper. Plenty of ramp trucks out there. If I were to get another and wanted an old COE I'd buy or build one with a low trailer/hauler as the rear half like Brent (Halfass customs) did way back when before he had his channel.

I had already cut the mounting hardware. Most of it anyhow.

Did it have vacuum assisted breaks or hydraulic? I've got an 86 Winnebago with a bad hydraulic booster. If your booster is hydraulic maybe I could talk you out of it to fix mine. BTW it's a Chevy 3500 chassis. 454ci turbo 400, single rear axel.
Hydroboost! They call this a P30 chassis. Like a bread truck. I'm using this chassis under a 1953 Ford COE. It'll be in an upcoming video.

I don't think you'll see this but I had to heat a dark water valve to get it open and could not get it to thaw to drain so I left it open and drove from Ohio to Washington. Low and behold it was empty when I got there imagine that sorry Greta
