Abandoned Squarebody K5 Blazer found in a Junkyard! Will it run?!? 1976 Chevrolet 4x4

- I picked this K5 Blazer up from a salvage yard where it had been parked for 20 plus years due to a failed leaf spring. Other than the fan being removed along with the fan shroud and the rear brake drums it is fairly complete. It was parked due to failed rear leaf springs is all!

Late 70s father brother both had a 78 blazer. Great rides. I had a scout 2, blacksheep of the family I was. Lots of fun with those k5s.
Now that I watched to whole thing, that 400 small block is the best of both worlds. Lots of torque and spins up pretty good. They make really good street rod engines with modified good heads. I use tooth picks for brush holders, what I learned back in my dealership days. Great video and I like Duff! Thanks again, just what the Doctor ordered. That and some Evan Williams!

Naw rat rod it with camino primer and seats
Easy my friend well not always easy but here’s how I get out seized shackle bolts! Cut the head of the bolt off however you can then on the thread side use the nut and some washers put as many washers as you possibly can but leave room for the nut and at this point I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this! Keep adding washers as you have room and it will be like a press eventually you will pull it all the way out using its own threads🤓 also I watch you in my shop right now I’m rebuilding a transfer case also making it so called bulletproof lol we know that’s bs but does make it way stronger thx for the time and effort put into giving us something to watch 👍🏻
I was a kid in the 80s when I bought a 77 K5 Blazer from this old guy for $800.. Like your's it needed some work but I been in love with the square bodies ever since.. They are tanks and run great..
New subscriber here. I love your channel because you are upbeat, positive, and have a wonderful dog you really love. Since you really like the Blazer, keep it and enjoy it for awhile, after fixing the exhaust leak. Thanks again for some positive relief during pandemic isolation.

Don’t mind Duff at all he’s a good boy. I would sure up the rust, fix the needs and get some tires and either pass it off or keep it and see about a DIY paint job that’s better than the rattle can. First video I have watched of yours and enjoyed it.

Mr. Mortske, I love K-5 Blazers. Fix her up nice, sir, she deserves love. Sounds pretty darn good for how long she sat. Started quickly. She’s not bad at all, and Duff loves cruising in her. All she needs is love! Big Al. Makes me wish I was Duff so I could cruise in her. Lol.

This brings back some fond memories. I had a 79 K5 Blazer with a 6 inch lift, 38 inch tires. My friends and I managed to pry a 454 with a TH400 into it. Fun times were had in that bad boy.
I like it how it roared when it came back to life and when you hit the throttle. That exhaust leak sounds great
