I've had my air conditioner for a couple years and haven't cleaned it. It's kind of funny, that you can spray with on a 220 Volt electrical device. As the old saying goes, water and electricity don't mix.
water and coils mix just fine and the compressor is sealed with the connections also protected. just keep the water out of the electrical compartment.

No don't tell them anything! What right do they have to know? Have they struggled for years in the field moving up with tons of sacrifices like technicians normally do? No! So they don't deserve to learn what technicians know. Let them call when needed or sign on to a maintenance agreement.

Yall (commenters) got to much invested in feeling like the customer needs to know anything other then the units fixed or they need new. They don't need to nor deserve to know anything outside of that because the information would do them no good and mostly they don't understand it even though youll see a bobblehead going yes so simply put dont waste your valuable time on customer explaining. They need to know yes its fixed or ya need new of something and thats it far as customer info is concerned.
