As a owner of several car washes. I can say that the mud on this car is 100% fake. On a moving Vehicle the mud would be in a backwards pattern along the vehicle. And the wheel housings should be much more dirty compared to the mud on the paint.
Ever think that the car was driven to him and some may have come out of the wheel arches??!! And you’ve obviously never run a muck in a muddy paddock before I think you’re just jealous you don’t get the attention this Chanel does., cheer up champ the only was is up mate
A few tips for ya in your prep stages I have found after 30+ years in the business. The carpet strip at the bottom of the door can be hosed out with the PW making it faster and cleaner than with an extractor and won't hurt the door at all. The other chrome pieces like the nerf bars , mirror backers, bumpers, and exhaust tips can be scrubbed with super fine steel wool in the washing/prep process and you just have to touch them up in the fine exterior detail. Also you can clay bar the paint after your final hand wash/rinse stage of prep . The water will lubricate the clay just as good as a quick detailer spray and allow you to rinse off any extra particles before a buffing/waxing stage.
I think this is one of your most satisfying details to date! I loved all the mud coming off and I'd also like to see the mud getting sucked out of the drain. Keep up the great work!
I have cleaned agricultural vehicles in the past, just looking at that vehicle I can guarantee it is 100% authentic (actually quite clean) as it's missing farm dog hair and livestock fur too ! Brilliant job and love the videos 👍

I’m impressed with how much better it looked with just a pressure wash. I don’t know what colour I was expecting under all that, my first reaction was “Oh! It’s GREEN!”
Why does it matter where the dirt comes from or Where do you expect work to come from? I have a GMT800 exactly one year newer that goes mudding and has looked like this.
The anxiety of thinking about the mud and how you’ll remove it then half way through you tell us how and what you do to remove … that was making my ocd go crazy!!! Excellent work
Yep!!! That truck looks brand new for 20 + years!!! 😱😱😱💜💜💜 I got the glass cleaner and apc and we cleaned my daughter’s new (to her) car with it and if it didn’t have damage and scratches from the former owner, it would look brand new too!!
Hi detail geek I'm Jody from Norfolk Virginia I've been watching your work for years always enjoyed I've only ever seen a vac truck clean out a street gutter for the city but yeah it probably would be interesting to watch the mud pit in your studio be cleaned out by one it would make for a cool video 👍 Superior work by the way as usual 👍
Good morning Mitch! First of all, YES to do we want to see some video of the drain pit being sucked out and cleaned. You put a giant drain pit in there for good reason. I think you said it was at least 2X larger than the one from the home garage. And thanks for addressing the "people don't really have that much mud on their vehicles". Those folks must not live in areas where farmers live, because I see a lot of muddy trucks in the parking lots here in Wisconsin. Great job on this detail, you made that interior look brand new. That green paint turned out really nice. I have given the glass cleaner/ towel combo several times as birthday gifts and people love it every time. Have a great weekend, and thanks for this video. Always looking forward to Yard Geek videos!! 💜
Hello Joel! Nice to see you. It's interesting to see that some trucks are very dirty, especially those owned by farmers living in Wisconsin. Have an enjoyable day and a nice weekend. Be safe where you are and stay warm. 😊
This video just makes me feel lighter, all the dirt coming off of that exterior was so pleasing to watch. Mitch the cleaning machine does it once again! Have a nice weekend DG and fans!
As a detailer of a similar concept I don’t post vids just yet .. but I’ll say your work is great .. Initial vacuum I use a blow off nozzle for in between the seats and exc for drying purposes.. such as grill and door jams.. The steamer is not something I have access to just yet but keep up the great work
I wonder if it took just as long to clean the mud off the floor after the pre-wash rinse in the studio, I remember him having a muddy truck at the old location and had a video on it. I would love to see a video of studio cleanup after super muddy details!
I run an automatic car wash site, so I might not have the best ideas compared to manual detailing, but I feel like if you got a nice presoak soap to spray the vehicle down with and let it sit for a couple minutes, it would make the cleaning much easier. Just get that presoak basic pH soap on, let it sit, then apply a nice acidic soap, let it sit for a minute or so then blast it off. That difference from alkaline to acidic can really work wonders.
Love the videos. Not sure if this will be “I’m the only one” request but can you possibly do a video on the maintenance of your equipment like your pressure washer, how you clean your clothes after using them and things like that? I’m strongly considering getting into detailing and like using your videos to get ideas on good ways to do things and working out what not to do etc. also if you did a video on “how to get started” with advice for new people getting into detailing would be amazing and very helpful!
Nice job! That truck looks like a keeper. I had an '04 Avalanche I still miss on occasion. Those Silverado/Sierra/Yukon/Escalade EXTs from '02 to '06 were cool.
I purposely got my truck about this muddy so I can detail it myself and give myself the experience to know what it’s like and what spots need the most focusing aside from the basics, the only thing I hate about doing muddy vehicles is the wheel wells and the cracks and crevices under the vehicle that the mud takes forever to get out of, my mud was stuck under the bumpers and took me for ever spraying in one spot until I seen the water run clear
I'm very impressed that's a 22-year-old truck and it seems to be in great condition I don't see no rust no dents and the paint color is really gorgeous.
Yeah! the first time you've done a drain pour and not said 'GROSS'! yes i spotted it Mitch! and yes do that drain clearing out video i've always wondered what happened to the muck! great video bud you always make a Friday good!
Absolutely love the new intro. Keep up the great work man! I became a detailer at Mercedes Benz because of you and its absolutely amazing being able to do what you do daily!!
Anxiety level before pressing play: 90%, Anxiety level after seeing all that mud washed off: 10%. Sweet poutine that was so good to watch! Man as a good ol country boy in TX that is one fine, and surprisingly well taken care of, ranch truck! Thanks for all the good you do, take care and be safe out there!
I wish there were client reactions… that would make these so much better. We went through the process of watching it and then you don’t get to see the owners reaction who are the ones that would truly appreciate this since they have to drive it every day after they look like such a mess. It’s a fun thing that a lot of detailers do and It’s so fun to see the clients reactions to the before and after.
Seen mud like that on a vehicle before. Looks like he got stuck, the mud is from the vehicle that pulled him out. Looks like a 2wd truck so makes sense. I like how Mitch answered my questions in the video, about pre-soak, and how he feels about people bringing really dirty vehicles. Turned out really nice, hope my truck looks that good at that age.
I lived on a farm when I was a little girl and it is not at all difficult for me to imagine a farm truck getting this dirty, but I don't even care how it got so muddy. To me the fun comes from watching you take this super nasty truck and turning it into a vehicle that looks like new. It looks to me like all that mud protected the paint job so that the paint is in really good shape. Another grade-A detailing job.
I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 with the same exterior and interior colors. Less chrome thou. It even has TERRAMAX tires. It was like watching you detail my truck.
A video of the pit clean out would be interesting to see -- would be a whole lot different than back in the 60's when we cleaned out the pit where I worked in high school -- shovel and wheel barrow. I am constantly amazed at how people treat nice vehicles -- their money must come to them easier than mine always did...............

Just get that presoak basic pH soap on, let it sit, then apply a nice acidic soap, let it sit for a minute or so then blast it off. That difference from alkaline to acidic can really work wonders.
Good lord that old GMT800 is in fantastic shape for having been a farm truck.
Amazing job! That truck was well cared for to be in that good of shape. Bravo!
Nice job! That truck looks like a keeper. I had an '04 Avalanche I still miss on occasion. Those Silverado/Sierra/Yukon/Escalade EXTs from '02 to '06 were cool.
Wow! Who knew there was such a nice looking truck underneath all that mud. I’ve definitely seen far worse on this channel.
I love watching your videos, but my absolute favorite is the owners reaction.
My 9 year old truck looking at the 20 odd year old truck: "So, what's your skin care routine?"
Cleanse, Removing Acne and Skin Tags, Serum, Moisturizing with Sun Protection, 2 Serums for Lashes and Eyebrows, and Gua Sha
MUD!!😂
dirt creates a barrier
He just keeps it hydrated…
I'm very impressed that's a 22-year-old truck and it seems to be in great condition I don't see no rust no dents and the paint color is really gorgeous.
Yeah! the first time you've done a drain pour and not said 'GROSS'! yes i spotted it Mitch! and yes do that drain clearing out video i've always wondered what happened to the muck! great video bud you always make a Friday good!
I didn't notice until you pointed it out! I miss the "gross" and guitar outros.
I'd be pretty satisfied with the pressure washing already, but these transformations are incredible... Amazing
Amazing! Great job! And definitely want to see the big truck taking out the mud!
Amazing! 22 year old farm truck with virtually no rust. After the awesome job that you did on it, this thing has got to be worth a small fortune!
I'd love to see the floor after that mess and the pit cleanout
I don’t think you’ve ever detailed that year of Chevy truck until now. Those are my favourite years of trucks
I was thinking multiple trucks tearing it up and throwing all over each other😂
@@wyattross3989 could be, we farmers tend to be spirited drivers. Yee-haa!🚜
Great video today Mitch! Keep up the good work!
You never turn down a challenge and you never cease to amaze me and make yourself proud
I saw the thumbnail and immediately laughed. Good Work Mitch!
They really don't make em like they used to!! Excellent job!!!
It’s Friday ❤❤❤ enjoy your weekend Mitch 😊
I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 with the same exterior and interior colors. Less chrome thou. It even has TERRAMAX tires. It was like watching you detail my truck.
You did an amazing job. Kudos to you 💯
A video of the pit clean out would be interesting to see -- would be a whole lot different than back in the 60's when we cleaned out the pit where I worked in high school -- shovel and wheel barrow. I am constantly amazed at how people treat nice vehicles -- their money must come to them easier than mine always did...............
It would be a cool video to see the drain pits cleaned out.
The way you cleaned this car is very good. professional
Another great detail, Mitch! See you on the next one!
Seriously the cleanest 22yr old farm truck I've ever seen. Excellent condition! Beautiful job! 💗
We want the behind the scenes of this episode 😅
These details lately have been some impressive staging!! Come on that mud was last week!
Always great work!
Whoever had this truck really took good care of it. The paint work is an amazing condition given the age and the heart of life this truck has had.
I'm getting old; when you said 20, I was thinking totally different. It's probably a 2000s truck, lol
