HOLY MUD!! That sure was satisfying blasting it all off! Happy to get this old farm truck revived for a new and hopefully cleaner retirement 😄
Go check out The Yard Geek!! NEW videos coming soon!
Yeah…. Highly unlikely. Will probably be back for cleaning again
Would love to see you take on another disaster detail- has anyone near you got a Peugeot 508? They can be tricky as they’ve got a mixture of plastic surfaces on the interior!
Can we look forward to a drain pit cleaning video soon?
EDIT: Yes, I for one would enjoy seeing a video of the HydroVac truck doing its thing 😁
I'd like to see the pit being vacced up!
we wanna see all the mud getting sucked out of drain pit
You're so methodical in your process, I love it. Not only the cleanout of the mud pit, but I'd love a behind the scenes video about how you clean up the garage after you clean each vehicle (clean the garage, wash laundry, maintenance of your tools/machines...)
I wanna see the mud pit sucked out!
I think he does some of this (like emptying the drain etc) on his second channel every now and again :)
Washing the microfiber!
@@dianneduvarney2684they get tossed or demoted to rags, it’s never good to reuse them since they fill up with particles that’ll scrape the paint.
@@benk3431. Once laundered I believe they are still usable. I just wondered what Mitch used for detergent and water temperature in the washer. I don’t believe at $30 for 6 they are use and toss in the ragbag.
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but a super clean and detailed late 90's vehicle turns my head more than modern vehicles.
I’m in the minority as well ☝🏻
If that's the minority, I'm there too. Mitch has several videos featuring older (early aughts, and even earlier) vehicles, and those are my favorites.
Me too. 😊😊😊
That’s not the minority.
this model truck is actually early 2000's
The dirt on this thing came off so much easier than on those completely trashed minivans, it's clear the owner took care of it and just got it dirty for this video. This is the mark of a well loved vehicle and the new owners are going to appreciate that.
In Canada right now we are going through a freeze thaw period, work vehicles look a lot like this at this time of year.
@@laurabailey2092 In fact, it's not dirty at all. If you run some off-road, mud can even run into the inside of the headlights. This is just a lap in the mud on a rainy day.
Just like those videos on TH-cam selling shoe cleaning products. Although their shoes are full of mud, there are no creases. After washing, they look like brand new. There is even no color difference under the shoelaces. It is difficult to imagine that the shoe owner lives in what environment, there is no sunlight (UV will cause shoes to age), the entire foot is a whole, means toes do not move.
That dirt did not come off easy. Mud is mud. Water will always overcome it.
I always remember those cockroach minivans.. A muddy truck seems like a walk in the park close to those ones 😵
It almost looked like the truck was sprayed with mud. The coverage was so uniform. At any rate, great job of cleaning that nasty beast!!! You’re the best!!
Yeah and no signs of mud movement. Makes me suspect on this one.
@@scottweinstein4255 truck got pulled out while stuck more than likely
All video's are staged. We love to watch them, he gets viewers and income. Win win....
@@MegaDraadloos I don’t think Mitch’s videos are “staged” in that regard. I just commented that the uniformity of the mud covering the truck was unusual.
I love how you can tell this was a well-cared-for truck taken out on one joy ride, not a neglected vehicle. That paint and chrome is CLEAN for that age of farm truck. WOW!
Whether it's staged or not, I think it shows off your skills on how you make it look amazing at the end. You do an awesome job and I always look forward to seeing your videos on fridays.
As a vacuum truck driver myself it would be cool to see the mudpit get sucked empty and cleaned out
Yes! That would be awesome!
Id love to see the state of the studio floor after THAT pressure wash lol
It's clearly apparent that this Farm Truck was well taken care of. Looks great for a 22 year old truck. Great job Mitch

He just keeps it hydrated…
That truck looks like the vehicular version of a popcorn ceiling! It really cleaned up well, with your help. Nothing sticks like prairie mud, what a transformation! Great work!❤❤❤
I've had both ends of the scale this week, one guy who 'occasionally cleans his car', it was almost pristine, felt bad even charging him for a detail and then the other was the old 'doesnt need much doing', it was like a family of 5 had lived in that car for a year without ever leaving!
The view of the mud being washed off the roof was fun. Cleaning the truck bed though the owner said it wasn't necessary? Of course you did because you are you. A video of the large drain pit getting cleaned out would be fun, and maybe the external tank, too if possible. Hoping for a few new Yard Geek videos soon. Really enjoying your content.
Hi Shannon! Good to see you again. Yes, Mitch sure is fun to enjoy washing whole mud away. We are excited that he has completed everything. Done! Have a wonderful weekend. 😊
@@cynthiahopkins7090 Thanks, Cynthia. You have a safe weekend!
"Hey you want me to cover it with mud a bit before going for views?"
4:33, that's definitely for people like you lol
@@_Visionary6 Yeah totally hahaha... even if its the case it works because its satisfying to watch so, no complaining.
Why does it matter where the dirt comes from or Where do you expect work to come from? I have a GMT800 exactly one year newer that goes mudding and has looked like this.
I never doubted the legitimacy of your detail jobs. I can't see you getting a random vehicle to destroy and dirty up just to super clean them.
this one looks fake tho, i mean, how tf did the mud get up there?

Or as a " decked out " pavement princess
Nobody makes good trucks anymore, all these new trucks are all show, no work!!
I’m impressed with how much better it looked with just a pressure wash. I don’t know what colour I was expecting under all that, my first reaction was “Oh! It’s GREEN!”
Thank you for going back to the old water pour ! Don’t know why but that was way more satisfying
Good lord that old GMT800 is in fantastic shape for having been a farm truck.
Yep!!! That truck looks brand new for 20 + years!!! 😱😱😱💜💜💜 I got the glass cleaner and apc and we cleaned my daughter’s new (to her) car with it and if it didn’t have damage and scratches from the former owner, it would look brand new too!!
Bet it was satisfying spraying down the studio floor after this one! The gift that keeps on giving. Another amazing job Mitch!
Yes! Thank you!
This video just makes me feel lighter, all the dirt coming off of that exterior was so pleasing to watch. Mitch the cleaning machine does it once again! Have a nice weekend DG and fans!
That was fun. The hay must be a mess for the drain pit. Good to see you Botdog! Have a great weekend!
Glad to hear! Have a great weekend!!

@@TheDetailGeek Thanks Mitch!
@@joelbuchanan471 you as well Joel!
You’re the best dude. Your integrity for other people really shines through your work.
Amazing job! That truck was well cared for to be in that good of shape. Bravo!
It would be a cool video to see the drain pits cleaned out.
Only thing that pisses me off with vehicles with this level of dirt are the crevices!
Sometimes I have to dismantle light clusters and boot lock panels to remove it all.
Dude I said this before but you can make any vehicle like tow Mater look good as new. Keep up the great work❤
Farm dirt is clearly cleaner and less destructive than city dirt or kid dirt! Once removed, you get a better result. Great job, and a big thumbs up to the client, who clearly took care of this important tool right up to its retirement. Haven’t seen any truck you’ve done look this great. 🇨🇦💕
This would have been a great episode for the owner's reaction, but i realize those aren't always available.
Seriously the cleanest 22yr old farm truck I've ever seen. Excellent condition! Beautiful job! 💗
We want the behind the scenes of this episode 😅
Yeah! the first time you've done a drain pour and not said 'GROSS'! yes i spotted it Mitch! and yes do that drain clearing out video i've always wondered what happened to the muck! great video bud you always make a Friday good!
I didn't notice until you pointed it out! I miss the "gross" and guitar outros.
I'd love to see the floor after that mess and the pit cleanout
Wow! Who knew there was such a nice looking truck underneath all that mud. I’ve definitely seen far worse on this channel.
Holy cow, that was THE most satisfying power wash EVER!! And even though the dirty water dump was less than stellar, the hay on your grates mean one dirty truck. Fine job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good morning Mitch! First of all, YES to do we want to see some video of the drain pit being sucked out and cleaned. You put a giant drain pit in there for good reason. I think you said it was at least 2X larger than the one from the home garage. And thanks for addressing the "people don't really have that much mud on their vehicles". Those folks must not live in areas where farmers live, because I see a lot of muddy trucks in the parking lots here in Wisconsin. Great job on this detail, you made that interior look brand new. That green paint turned out really nice. I have given the glass cleaner/ towel combo several times as birthday gifts and people love it every time. Have a great weekend, and thanks for this video. Always looking forward to Yard Geek videos!! 💜
Mitch popping out of the drain pit and saying "welcome to the video" in Build 1 is still a favorite moment. Big enough for a grown man to fit in it.
@@shannonp1656 Your recall is excellent. I forgot about that Shannon. Good job! 🤣🤣🤣

@@joelbuchanan471 Joel, that's good exactly! 😁
Hello Joel! Nice to see you. It's interesting to see that some trucks are very dirty, especially those owned by farmers living in Wisconsin. Have an enjoyable day and a nice weekend. Be safe where you are and stay warm. 😊
Wow, you did an amazing job for that truck.
Seen mud like that on a vehicle before. Looks like he got stuck, the mud is from the vehicle that pulled him out. Looks like a 2wd truck so makes sense. I like how Mitch answered my questions in the video, about pre-soak, and how he feels about people bringing really dirty vehicles. Turned out really nice, hope my truck looks that good at that age.
I was thinking multiple trucks tearing it up and throwing all over each other😂

Hey Mitch,
😮WOW, what a transformation. Who knew how great the paint was on this vehicle. 😮

Morning Mitch, always making these vehicles look brand new, I love it! Salutes!
Absolutely love the new intro. Keep up the great work man! I became a detailer at Mercedes Benz because of you and its absolutely amazing being able to do what you do daily!!
Anxiety level before pressing play: 90%, Anxiety level after seeing all that mud washed off: 10%. Sweet poutine that was so good to watch! Man as a good ol country boy in TX that is one fine, and surprisingly well taken care of, ranch truck! Thanks for all the good you do, take care and be safe out there!
It’s Friday ❤❤❤ enjoy your weekend Mitch 😊
That's the first time I've seen you do the roof! That was satisfying! Thank you for showing that. And thank you for all your hours of hard work. Your the best! ❤💙💚💛💜
Man great video that's awesome to see something so full of dirt get transformed into a shiny glamouring vehicle to look at you're a miracle worker.
Been watching your videos for a long time never ceases to amaze me keep up the great work.
I think this is one of your most satisfying details to date! I loved all the mud coming off and I'd also like to see the mud getting sucked out of the drain. Keep up the great work!
Awesome job as always! Truck looks great! They certainly don't make them like they used to. Have a great weekend!!!
I wonder if it took just as long to clean the mud off the floor after the pre-wash rinse in the studio, I remember him having a muddy truck at the old location and had a video on it. I would love to see a video of studio cleanup after super muddy details!
The no commentary and music, just the sound of the pressure washer part sounds heavenly
Thanks to your BG musics my playlist is now full of soothing R&Bs❤
When I see you going into that interior cleaning process I just know it's going to be good. Also going into the actual real time footage really does give everyone an understanding as to how long it does actually take. Awesome work as usual DG 👍🏼
Gorgeous truck when you did your fantastic job! And it's a real working truck, too! Bet it was washed every Friday for going to the games, spruced up again if needed for date night and then Sunday church & visiting family. Then it was in full use again to cover every acre, every field, every fence line, water trough, etc. God bless farmers&ranchers! I've got extended family on both my husband's side and mine that own farms and ranches. 💖😊🇺🇸 And your professional detailing is awesome!!! Great work standards and ethics!😊💖
I don’t think you’ve ever detailed that year of Chevy truck until now. Those are my favourite years of trucks
What a fantastic, fabulous, and an amazing job, you did on this beautiful green, Silverado, Mitch! WOW!!!!!!! Have a great weekend.
Thanks, you too!
I know this goes without saying but the time and care and effort you put into these details is really unmatched. Its really a gift you have
I'm getting old; when you said 20, I was thinking totally different. It's probably a 2000s truck, lol
Spraying the camper shell, sounded like rain. RELAXATION 😊
Heck yes on sucking the mud out.😅
Just love watching you get these vehicles looking like new again awesome job Mitch
Awesome work as always, Mitch! I like it when you do engine bay details too.
The anxiety of thinking about the mud and how you’ll remove it then half way through you tell us how and what you do to remove … that was making my ocd go crazy!!! Excellent work
Yet another satisfying detail love the way you always pay attention to detail ❤
You did an amazing job. Kudos to you 💯
Great work! I have a 19 Silverado , although I love it , it’s plain to see the quality of materials has definitely changed.
not sure if i’m the only one that has commented about the obnoxious 2012-2018 montage music, but i seriously prefer the sped up equipment and water/ background noise over this brain rotting music. The work you do is amazing, no doubt, but this “music” is off putting. I would much more enjoy your content if the music is either gone or you switch to soothing music. at least consider making a poll for this topic‼️
I thought it was just me,felt like waiting for a call centre to answer a call!!😂
You can find some of his asmr videos on detail geek 2 but even on that channel it's only on one playlist and what's worse is not all videos on the asmr playlist are asmr. 💀💀💀
I definitely don’t want no music. Different music maybe but asmr washing sounds is not my thing
I’ve often turned down music……why don’t you record yourself playing guitar?
Yeah, I agree. I like the natural sounds more than the music I always turn it down low until I hear him talking then back down it goes right after
Great video today Mitch! Keep up the good work!

Whoever had this truck really took good care of it. The paint work is an amazing condition given the age and the heart of life this truck has had.
Always great work!
looks amazing afterwards. Great job on this one!!
A few tips for ya in your prep stages I have found after 30+ years in the business. The carpet strip at the bottom of the door can be hosed out with the PW making it faster and cleaner than with an extractor and won't hurt the door at all. The other chrome pieces like the nerf bars , mirror backers, bumpers, and exhaust tips can be scrubbed with super fine steel wool in the washing/prep process and you just have to touch them up in the fine exterior detail. Also you can clay bar the paint after your final hand wash/rinse stage of prep . The water will lubricate the clay just as good as a quick detailer spray and allow you to rinse off any extra particles before a buffing/waxing stage.
Another great detail, Mitch! See you on the next one!
Amazing! Great job! And definitely want to see the big truck taking out the mud!
I lived on a farm when I was a little girl and it is not at all difficult for me to imagine a farm truck getting this dirty, but I don't even care how it got so muddy. To me the fun comes from watching you take this super nasty truck and turning it into a vehicle that looks like new. It looks to me like all that mud protected the paint job so that the paint is in really good shape. Another grade-A detailing job.
You did an incredible and amazing job of cleaning this truck, I'm sorry you had to go through this crazy challenge you've been facing with, but overall it looks 100% amazing and very clean, well done Mitch, by the way do you like art? I'm very good at art and I love drawing cars.
Shout out to the owner. Nice to see work dirt rather than child neglect filth.
I'll admit it if I knew I was bringing my truck to you to get detailed. I would be out playing in the mud before bringing it in. 😊
I think what more people need to realize is this. We're all watching because it's satisfying, so even if it was fake, we're still getting the same product from the same person, and it's the same exact quality!
Thank you for showing the roof cleaning. I know you always clean the roof of the vehicle, but it was fun to finally see one.
Being from Florida, I can tell you exactly how that truck became that muddy. It was being used for regular farm work, became stuck, and had the shit sprayed out of it being pulled out.
I asked this in a previous episode, but I want you to show us how you get rid of and clean up the mud pit and we’re all the water goes!
That initial rinse was so satisfying.
You make your money doing what you love, Mitch. That's all that matters and that's how you keep a business booming
Great job Mitch! Thanks to your 💪TLC, this truck is once again looking like brand-new. It's in amazing condition for its age! It's a shame that vehicle manufacturers are using crappier quality seat fabrics and carpeting now - to earn them higher profits. This truck appears to have had an accomplice to aid it in getting this dirty. It looks like someone had their truck throwing mud at every surface of this Chevy - spraying mud all over it. By any chance would that accomplice be named Ruby? 😁
I haven't had a vehicle for 25 years or so, and I am really starting to miss that. Taking city buses and taxis really sucks. If you know of anyone in YQR with a vehicle in good running condition (and under $3K) let me know lol.
This one reminds me of your earlier videos very nice to see always enjoy seeing diffrent vehicles come in
Nice work. 🤘🏻🔨😎 Impressive results.
I'm very impressed that's a 22-year-old truck and it seems to be in great condition I don't see no rust no dents and the paint color is really gorgeous.
The mud comes off this truck a bit easier because 1. hes got a great pressure washer setup 2. the truck hasn’t been sitting with it for far too long 3. the paint is in pretty good condition. Just makes the prewash that much better and way more satisfying. Awesome work!
HOLY MAN ! You do a great job. I love it to am in southern Alberta
A video of the pit clean out would be interesting to see -- would be a whole lot different than back in the 60's when we cleaned out the pit where I worked in high school -- shovel and wheel barrow. I am constantly amazed at how people treat nice vehicles -- their money must come to them easier than mine always did...............
Hy Mitch, would be interesting to see where all the mud is going to end. 👍
Your videos are awesome, Mitch !!!! And, you don't have to explain yourself to ANYONE !!! Your fans know you're the real deal.
Nice job! That truck looks like a keeper. I had an '04 Avalanche I still miss on occasion. Those Silverado/Sierra/Yukon/Escalade EXTs from '02 to '06 were cool.
Amazing! 22 year old farm truck with virtually no rust. After the awesome job that you did on it, this thing has got to be worth a small fortune!
