Yeah it wasn’t promoted much and it seems not even that many were produced- maybe because it is a fairly large kit? 🤔

This wasn't a popular kit when it released in the east. It got overshadowed by other 3rd party kits releasing at the same time which were superior in quality and price (Genesis, Judge Moonlight, Motor Nuclear).
It also didn't get a good impression on one popular cn review channel that gets early release models. So not a lot of hype for it.

I just finished this kit a few days ago. It was kinda immense for someone that's only recently entered the mecha kit building hobby, at least at first. Tons of runners, ABS plastic instead of the typical PS, humongous waterslide sheet.
Turned out to be surprisingly simple. Nothing to panel line (though lots of scribing real estate), simple build composed of large parts that fit together quite well. I had the biggest trouble with that insane waterslide sheet, as I've never applied them before. Also prompted me to matt top coat the thing which was also new to me. Fun experience. Did opt for the "metallic red" visors (311 batteries are hard to come by where I live) and gave it a fluorescent paintjob, though mine were very clearly semi-translucent. Maybe it's a batch difference, I dunno.
I didn't see any of those sink marks on my runners that you showcased at 7:20, but at 8:44 you can see some weird stain on the axe runner. I had a lot of that on multiple W runners out of the box for some reason. Maybe some kind of residue from the molding process?

It reminds me a bit of the Naoki redesigns we got not a while back, combined with a Katoki Unicorn design.
to me the design of this mech reminds me of a Super Robot Wars Originals unit.
Looks similar to the wildwurger from OG super robot taisen.

Zack this is such a wonderful review to go back after orange cat industries released the photos of their upcoming Estailev kits.
I was thinking, would you think about reviewing some of the Daban Metal build kits? As they are heavily inspired in the outer looks and some of the frame in the real bandai products but much of the engineering is Daban's. I would love to see your opinion on those especially knowing on how much dabans quality has gotten better and better over the years.

I actually really like the magnet because of how strong it is and I don't have to worry about breaking a peg because of how heavy that shield is.
Unfortunately it’s really not that strong for how large and he’s y the shield is. While posing I had to make sure the shield didn’t fall off 🫤
Looks great, I'm thinking of doing a non bandai kit next for a change since I just finished rg zeong and sazabi and not sure which brand or kit would be cool .. yall have any suggestions?

Glad to see more Chinese kits getting publicity, you should also review more Chinese Gundam kits, like the genesis and god of thunder by he mo xian

Bandai need to pull their finger out and start adding more to their kits for the prices they are charging.
More like a large HG kit detail wise.
I mean, depends on if you're talking about the HG Origin kits or HG Moon Gundam for example have a lot of detail, while other have much less. The HG line is so extensive it's hard to generalize anything really. It's sort of similar in terms of complexity but even then it's only really similar to the most complex HGs
A bit sadden, I finally got it and am putting it together but then the shoulder joint peg broke off. 😭😭😭
Any plans on reviewing their tekkaman blade model kits?

The LED unit is weak and can barely be seen throughout the head piece.

Tbh all of the “original” new Chinese kits are very gundam looking non-gundam kits 😅
Honestly any mecha design looks gundamy, it’s just a thing about mecha designs in general, they all share the same super robot characteristics
funny cuz some 3rd party are getting more gundam-y than bandai themselves
Gundam is so ingrained in mecha design that cool == gundam. If you try to make a no curveball cool design, I think it’s easy to end up with some gundamey features.
@@Dank-lk2mk nah look at the designs from before the 2000s like The O or Rayearth which don't look Gundam at all. Most people just like Gundam designs a lot so we've been getting things that look similar (especially to SEED and 00)
Mind you this is actually a Japanese design, before the plastic kit exist all we got is resin cast kit.
IMO the kit is ok. Not enough color separation. The design is kinda simple and little too edgy in all aspect of the parts. Doesnt much curve.
